Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
That reminds me of a slogan I once heard. "Oblivion: Because Morrowind wasn't boring enough."
Anyway, Herr Doktor, get thee to a Dentistry!

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
FYI I really liked KotoR II; I tried playing KotoR and it messed my computer up, so I dunno how good it is.
Never played Morrowind.
And so, I went to bed at like 12:30AM and got up at around 8:30, pretty good if you ask me, but it also means I'm not starting on school work till... now. Instead of 9. I'm not sure if I like this schedule...

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Team Gizka haven't fixed it yet. They're still working on it. Once they're done, I'm downloading that, and playing the full game a couple of times, and I will love it, because it will be awesome.
KotOR (the first one) was really good, especially for it's age, and had a nice story with at least ONE character you're bound to like. KotOR II should have expanded on that and made it even better, which they almost did, but then failed in the rush to get the game out at Christmas. They shouldn't have. They would have made more if they brought it out mid-year. The fans bought it either way, and the other gamers would have had to focus on it more, as it wasn't jumbled in there with the rest of the Christmas releases.

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
you, my good man, have obviously never heard of emulators, which are free last time I checked.
and there's nothing wrong with button mashing. just make sure you know what buttons to mash.
you're right about consoles beig devil-spawn, but then again, I like plug-n-play better than insert CD, install, find out it doesn't work, get pisse, and then attempt to delete it and/or update your computer...
PC games never work out well for me."The Mormons were right."

steam?
please elaborate on this "Steam", my friend. I have only heard of the steam that comes from boiling water, and I don't want that near any of my electronics."The Mormons were right."

The Steam client is free. It's there for incredibly easy game buying, though, and you can access your account anywhere Steam is installed (and thus install your games from anywhere.)

I knew that, but there should never be a reason you should have to pay for any PC game when there's the whole wide world of the internet at your doorstep.

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
I know a reason!
Games cost money. That's a reason you have to pay.
Then again, looking back, perhaps if I hadn't had to spend so much money on SSBB I wouldn't dislike it so much...
Tell you what, cut $70 AUS off the price, and we'll call that a fair price for the game.
...Also, give me back the money for the Wii. That should be a freebie.

Except pirates = criminals = bankrupt companies = DRM = annoyance = Assassin's Creed-type future = suckiness.

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
DRM = hackers bypassing it = win.
annoyance = Liberals & arrogant people = things we can't change so we have to deal with
suckiness = PS3; buying games
bankrupt companies = the ones that AREN'T the multibillion dollar game/music companies
criminals = there are worse things out there than downloading music and games.
Assassin's creed-type future = not sure. haven't played that game enough... *looks for a download*
ignorance = bliss."The Mormons were right."

trust me, I was totally ready to go off on a huge tangent with that, but fortunately the restraining forces of the spriti of Order that resides within this forum held me back.
and I had no plans of saying anything beyond what had been said anyways."The Mormons were right."

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Even multi-million dollar companies need a steady source of income, that is greater than their expense. Which means, the less people buy, the less they can spend on making games, which means games will get worse (it's happening already, you know) and life will go back to being as bad as it was in the early eighties...
As for there being worse things, that's all well and good, but it's still illegal. And illegal is bad. There's a whole system set up about it, you might have heard of it, I dunno if it was included in your edcuation...
And DRM is still annoying as hell. It essentially punishes people who pay for their games because of people who don't. Smart DRM is cool, though. Like with Batman: Arkham Asylum. That was a good story.
As for the PS3 sucking, well, that's a matter of opinion.
(Wii = toddlers plaything with less dignity than a jar of tree sap and a control system as effective as shouting at the screen and gesturing wildly, and Xbox 360 = Gremlins plaything that breaks before you open the box.)

It looks (well, feels) like I might be developing tendonitis in my right wrist. Oh, wouldn't that be fun.

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
I could go on and on about DRMs, Piracy and my opinions thereof, but I think I'd be breaking a lot of forum rules in doing so.
That being said I live in Bangladesh and you can't actually buy real games here. Or real music for that matter. if you ask a store to "get" a DVD or something for you they'll probably "get it" by downloading the torrent and then burning it to a CD.
