She looks at the roses. So...who takes care of the garden? Does it always look this good? Is it just the robots that do it?

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
Creation.
It's a flat world, and there's actually a different type of terrain in each cardinal direction, influenced by the Elemental Pole in that direction. I was born in the West, which is apparently mostly ocean and islands, but I don't remember there... I was raised in the East. Which is quite forested.
The South is mostly desert, and the North is quite cold. But I haven't really been to either of those places.

Oops - sorry. I meant Creation. It's so hard to remember all these names.
And it sounds pretty good. I'm still used to flames and stuff.
What's the center of Creation like?I'm gone for a couple of years!

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
That's where the Elemental Pole of Earth is. It's a large island called the Blessed Isle.
Meidani grimaces a bit. Never been there, and I don't think I'd get the best reaction from there.

Why not? Is there something wrong with that isle? she asks, regarding why she wouldn't get the best reaction from there.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
It's more me...
she looks at the succubus. A long time ago, some of the gods of our world created what are known as Exaltations, granting a small part of their power to mortals.
The Unconquered Sun created 300 Solar Exaltations, which would be reborn into mortals. An Exalted is stronger, lives far longer, can do amazing things...
The Solar Exalted can basically excel at anything, if they spend enough time at it.
The Lunar Exalted have the power to adapt and survive almost anything. It was actually a Lunar who raised me.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
I'm a Solar. Wandering Swan...
the Solars used to rule Creation, with the Lunars at their side. But...
I've seen records, and the Solars of that era started to slip into madness. They committed terrible deeds...
the Terrestrial Exalted, who Exalt by blood instead of by fate, killed all the Solars, and drove the Lunars to Creation's rim. They trapped the Exaltations themselves.
Then... for some reason, the Solar Exaltations escaped. Five years ago. And Solars started Exalting again.
The Terrestrial consider us Anathema. Demons- no offence meant to you- who have taken human form. They are killed if discovered.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
Oh, that's not my backstory. That's just the essential thing needed to be known to understand our world at all.
My story...
I was born in the West, as I told you. Don't know my birth parents at all. Don't know the name they gave me, either. Reason was slavers.
When I was very little- I don't know exactly how old- I was kidnapped, and taken to the East to be sold as a slave. The man who'd end up raising me rescued me, and ended up deciding to adopt me as a child.
Long Tooth. An Exalted of Lunar.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
Think a shaman who's able to transform into a wolf as he wills.
He basically taught me a lot of the stuff I know. Combat, tracking someone...
even how to escape from being tied up if I want. Which is actually a pretty useful skill at times. Very little that can hold me if I don't want to be there, even discounting the Exaltation.

Re: [Acro] GLoG 44: Continuity has no place here!
Well, this place does have a training room, so I can teach you combat.
Tracking's a bit harder, if you want to learn that.

...I don't know. I haven't really thought this out very far yet.
Combat and tracking sounds like a good place to start. And maybe horseback fighting. That would be useful.I'm gone for a couple of years!
