Helen continues to follow Celiaire. She smiles at the girl too.

However, the girl thinks first Another angel? I hate angels. then Wait...I know that guise...luck's in my favor once again. She smiles, but mischevously.

Guess what. It was one-way recognization street.

Of course Celi isn't really a normal angel.. what with the whole not even knowing how to fight thing.


He wanders towards the garden. Still not really say much of anything he's not really sure where he's going. Just wandering.

(Of course the mean thing to do would be to try and seduce her ex-best friends boyfriend... But that would be much to mean. )

Helen smells the flowers, saying I love flowers. I used to not get to see many.

(What could be worse...is framing her for stuff to make Celiaire not like her anymore...since they both can shapeshift, who'll know the difference? While, of course, she's sporatically visiting the Taverna and snatching away children and pet dogs) (Is that mean?)

The little girl is still in the kitchen, unless she teleports to the Taverna for whatever her scheme is...so, probably in the kitchen unless I get a sudden burst of idea.

Quinn attempts to form a Dimension Door, that leads to...not the school, but the "other part" of Shania's mind.

And, if successful, to lead Shania through it.

Quinn and Shania arrive within the darker mind of the real Shania.

Mind-Shania looks around and starts freaking out. Where.... where the **** are we you crazy old ************!!!!

Then Dark-Shania steps out of the shadows. Oh my..... What is going on here!!! She backs away from both of them.

Dark-Shania steps closer. You need to see, to remember what becomes of your life, because of daddy. She almost spits the name out.

Quinn would start to explain (and produce a bar of soap to clean out Shania's mouth), but then the other Shania steps in, and she nods.

I apologise for the deception, dear. But it was necessary. You see...well...to you, I suppose you could say we're from the future, or at least your future. She sighs. Much of it is not very pretty, I'm afraid.

Altara undeadtimes by the fire in the great room again, though it's not as if there's much point with everyone off in their own worlds of romances and Journeys to the Center of the Mind and stuff.

Get away from me you... you.... But before she can finish her sentance, Dark-Shania dashes over to her and grabs both sides of her head.

In unison they throw their heads back and scream at the sky. It's a shrill shriek. May even hurt Quinn's ears.

The darkness of this mind begins to crack and break. The sky will be filled with scenes of Shania's life. Beginning with her birth and happyness.

Since my evil succubus is busy, I'll have Helen-cloned come in.

Helen walks into the great room towards the fireplace, from the garden. She...waves at Altara.

"And here I thought everyone here was either too preoccupied or too repulsed by me to bother acknowledging my presence." Said with a tone indicating a feeling along the lines of 'freaking finally'.

Helen's feeling a little uneasy...but she's kinda used to that feeling.

Well...I guess that everyone's just...a little busy right now. says Helen, walking even closer until she sits down on one of the chairs.

Quinn clamps her hands over her ears, cringing as they're nearly pierced. And looking up at the sky, watching, and waiting to try and support in any way that she can....

As Quinn watches, she sees Shania's father abruptly change from a good looking man, to a lazy layabout with no job. And then from a caring and loving husband/father, to the perveted monster who molests his daughter.

Once these memories begin, only Mind-Shania continues to scream. Dark-Shania stops and watches her, tears in her eyes.

What? Helen's a little surprised. Why would anyone want to run you out? It'll be more likely that I would be run out. 'cuz she's a demon. But she doens't look it right now.

Though... it might be noted that Altara has permanent true-sight. <.< Shapeshifting does work, though.

"What, you can't tell?"

Oh, that's fun. First one that she's met here. Though, what's she's really afraid of is Paladins with True Sight, who attack first then attack questions later. (Psst...I have another succubus who's evil and she's residing here, disguised as a little girl...and she doesn't know 'True Seeing' exists)

Quinn steps over, and gently puts a hand on Dark-Shania's shoulder reassuringly, not having words...just letting her know she's there and that she's doing the right thing...

"Eh. If you can't feel it, it doesn't matter. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised..." Helen might guess that Altara is implying that she knows what she (Helen) is...

...feel what, exactly, again? asks Helen.

She looks down at herself, to make sure she's not in her real form. Nope...no tail..., then over her shoulders...no wings...I'm just overreacting.

the depravity gets worse, until one night, while she's alone with daddy, Dark-Shania takes over, as she kisses daddy sensually, Quinn will notice that he begins to hemorage.

Blood begins to ooze out of his ears and eye sockets until he slumps forward on top of her.

Shania shoves daddy off of her, and casually walks to the bathroom and cleans herself up.

She then climbs back into bed and sleeps peacefully. Until mother comes home, that is.

Quinn will see Mother step through the door. I'm home!! She calls out, smiling.

But quickly her smile turns to a frown, then a look of disgust, and finally a look of terror.

After a few minutes, mother is crumpled on the floor looking utterly destroyed, but still alive.

Shania walks out of her room wearing just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She takes mother's purse, removes her wallet, and leaves.

Helen figures out that she knows...But could she... thinks the succubus who can use 'Detect Good' but doesn't do it...(that's just so I can remember that she can do it)

Her face pales a bit...but she what was said calms her face down a bit. Oh...t-that's good. So...what do you generally do? Like, a treasure hunter, or what?

Altara would only read as ERROR anyway.

"I'm a traveler of sorts. Whenever I wear out my welcome in one world, or simply want to leave, I go to another. It's been that way for a long, long time... I think I might stick around here for a while longer than normal, though." She sounds... uncertain, in that last bit.

Yeah...I know. ERROR. ERROR. Except that's usually not how it works. It's usually "Zero", "Dim", "Glow", and "Have mercy on my poor, defenceless eyes!"...at least, that's how I interpret it.

Oh, you should totally stay. demands Helen. It's a whole lot better than where I'm...from.

Altara stifles a small laugh. "I'd imagine. My reception here has been somewhat less... hostile, even from those that would hate me more than most. Better some improvement than none, huh?"

They set it carefully just outside the magical barrier and hurry away.
