All the same Mean Drone 13 goes off to fetch the president.
Or at least pretend like its going to. If it does depends on the president posting mostly.

Misaki Prime is softly asleep in her bed with Olly.

Aren't we on 13 by now? I remember 12 getting blown up by Runner. >.>

A large black hound, all shaggy fur and menacing eyes of glowitude watches her dream from a corner.

Quiet you! That's a lie! It blew itself up when Runner tried funny stuff!

And just for that, it takes a potshot at KidKris the player, shattering the fourth wall in the process.

*watches as KidKris gets shot*

*laughs at the idiot without a space in his name*

Olly the small vaccuphant stands up and trumpets at the hound, trying to scare it off.

You're not scared and tired yet Misaki #2? You've already been traveling a day! Will your food even hold out?

What are you going to do about that hideous monster in your path?! No wait... that's just a dog. Though it's a big dog. That is watching her. Her tail in particular. It bares its teeth.

Okay, that's seriously kinda weird.

Meanwhile, in GLoG, the other big scary dog, with the other Misaki, growls at the vacuuphant. And oh, what a glorious growl!

[Misaki's Room]

Misaki begins to wake up, a process that speeds up when she sees the dog. She pulls the covers close and backs up against the headboard.

Olly continues to trumpet in defiance.

[Ashen Lilies]

The Dog pads forward slowly, each step taken with sinister deliberation. Somehow, I don't think this one is interested in making friends.

[Misaki's Room]

And Misaki really has nowhere to run to! "Q-quinn... someone, help!"

Olly lets out a final trumpet before charging the dog!

Olly charges into thin air. The dog is gone!

[Neon Knight]

Olly whirls around, his small elephant mind confused.

Misaki looks around, all huddled up, breathing quickly, listening to her heartbeat slowly go down.

[Ashen Lilies]

Nothing but shadows on the wall.

((deadtime))

Well, after that, Misaki Prime certainly isn't getting anymore sleep. She goes and picks up Olly before heading to the kitchen.

By the way, if Quinn or someone investigates Misaki's room while I'm deadtimed, there's some residual psychic and spiritual energy left behind.

And, just so, Quinn happens to undeadtime, and heads for the kitchen, where she might find Misaki!

Or maybe a small blue snake sitting on one of the counters?

She... seems to be having a conversation with a mouse about something. Which is odd. Normally snakes would be eating mice, not shooting the breeze with them. The fact that a snake and a mouse are talking at all may or may not strike any onlookers as odd.

But ACRO is pretty close to the Nexus.

Weird stuff happens all the time.

ACRO: Where if it isn't weird, you double-take.

The extremely pregnant telepath/paladin/divine champion pauses at seeing the (not quite so) unusual scene.

Studies it for a moment.

Then clears her throat at a point where it wouldn't be rude.
"I presume you're smarter than the average snake, then."

[Kitchen]

The snake and mouse pause, both glancing up at Quinn. The former blows a raspberry at her. The latter wiggles his nose.

"It was nice talking to you Frank, just watch out for those mouse traps," the snake comments in a high-pitch lil' voice. The mouse nods before scampering away, leaving the bright blue serpent on her own.

The teeny critter grins up at Quin. "Avatar and I went our separate ways. Just when I was thinking I would get to be a plain old human again someone exploded a weird chaos curse all over Trog's. Now I'm stuck as a serpent-spawn hydra. And what's more I got left behind here when the rest of me left!"

The snake pouts at this. A pouty snake is a rather amusing sight to see. "If I knew were Zee... err... me. I...?"

She quirks her head off to the side slightly.

"Geeze... this is confusing... I'm basically a composite creature made of a bunch of snakes now. Thankfully my fragments don't lose their intelligence."

Finally a sigh. "Bleh, I'm jabbering aren't I? How are you doing, Quinn? You look like you're about to pop."

[The Bushranger]

Quinn giggles a little and pulls up a chair, settling into it. "Guess you and Raril really are a good match, huh? Both of you have this tractor beam field or something that drags all the weirdness torwards you..."

Shaking her head, she rests her chin on her hands and smiles. "The baby's probably going to be born within the week. It was going to be Christmas but then I had to help Destro with de-zombifying Phoenix, and I think the channeling positive energy accellerated things.


So...you split off from Avatar? What's up with that?"

[Rebonack]

"Yeah, no kidding. I seem to get all the weird stuff and he gets the terribad luck," the snake laughs. Odd sound. Comes in the form of a bunch of terse, sharp hisses. "Oh! Destro helped you out, huh? That's good. He's a little eccentric, but he's a really nice guy. We should pit him up against Cal some time. I'll bet Destro could smack him down! Would probably beat him in the mandible with a trout or something."

She seems to be amused by that idea. Probably because she doesn't like Cal. Lots of reasons for that, really.

"I hope everything turns out alright with the baby. And... well... As for Avatar, the Far nature was corroding my human spirit. Everything that made me human would have been eroded away eventually. Avatar didn't want to hurt me, so he backed off for my safety. I think he's trying to get a new physical body again without possessing someone else."

[The Bushranger]

"Aw, that was nice of him. Guess he got it from you." Quinn pauses, considering. "And Destro was a help - even though he did manage to kill the paitent before bringing him back. It seems it all worked out in the end, though."

She frowns mightly thinking of Cal. "I have my own score to settle with Cal. He...kinda possessed a friend of mine to get his current body."

[happyturtle]

The president is still bedridden and on sick leave. The drone stationed at her door is referring everyone to Daisuke.

[Reinholdt]

Grumbling: Fine. See if I care.

Mean Drone 13 decides not to relay to anyone the message Jazirian gave. Guess the dragon will just have to deal with all that money on his own.

[Rebonack]

[Kitchen]

"Well... he learned how to mimic human behavior from me. So I guess it makes sense that he picked up on my personality traits," the serpent reasons. And then at the mention of Destro's... usual methods... More hissy giggling. "At least he didn't turn him into a wight or a fish or something. His means can be a bit strange, but he does get results."

And then to the subject of Cal...

"Irine, right?" the snake gets a rather venomous glare at this point. "Cal used her body to rape Raril. I'll see him burn yet."

[The Bushranger]

Quinn nods. "Irene, yeah." She narrows her eyes at hearing what Cal did with his new body... "He did what? I'll gladly help - but I don't want to hurt her. She still could be trapped in there..."

[Neon Knight]

Misaki Prime is in the Rose Garden, playing with Olly.

Brendan slips out of his room with a smile, and heads in the direction of the Rose Garden!

[Kitchen]

"Thanks for the sentiment," the teeny snake replies with an equally teeny bow. "How did Cal end up controlling Irene? Do we even know if she was an actual person before the lich started riding her around?"

Seems the reptile is thinking homunculus.

[The Bushranger]

"I think she was?" Quinn doesn't look like she'd thought of that before. "I don't know. Maybe I should check the records. I don't want to take the chance if it can be avoided, though."


Quinn: probably Irene's only friend in all of ACRO...


Alas, a deadtime ooze lands on Quinn's head!
