Helen walks back to the Cabin, to see if there's anybody here yet, who's available.

She looks like a demon still. Hasn't shape-shifted back yet, because most GLoG members already know she's a demon.

How convenient that I choose now to bring Shania back to GLoG.

Shania, having somehow arrived at the entrance of GLoG: Eden, happily begins to look around her new home.

She's hoping to find either Helen or Quinn. She hasn't seen Quinn for a long time.

Hopefully Helen notices Shania before Shania notices Helen. (How should we decide who notices whom first?)

Helen's now in the Main Cabin, looking around. Bunk Beds...kitchen...snow...wood...scary boiler room in basement...electrical generator covered by snow...and so on.

I sincerely hope she sees/hears Shania first.

Not actually in GLoG at the moment.

Or rather, not in the camp-site.

He's just outside the front gate, sitting in a lawn chair and reading a book.

Given the weather at the moment this may seem like an odd choice of activity for the evening.

He waves at the passing rogue fellow.

The rogue pauses on his way to look at the reclining fox. "...I thought I emptied this bottle a while ago."

Given the coloration and vaguely flickering tail the fox in question is pretty obviously not natural. Kitsune, maybe?

Just hope that he isn't the axe-crazy Korean variant.

Regardless, he waves a paw at the guy as he passes. Apparently Avatar doesn't feel inclined to point out that he isn't actually an alcohol induced hallucination.

Hmmm. Interesting. What about the rogue made you assume that he was of an oriental background?

Reed chucks the bottle at the fox, taking it for nothing more than a phantasm.

The robe, actually. Especially one arm being empty and the other missing. Seems to pop up in that sorta setting now and again. The battle-scarred warrior guy.

If he had a rice hat and a gourd of sake it would have completed the picture perfectly.

But a bottle will do as well.

*thunk!*

"Oow! Hey! What's the big idea!" the fox protests rather loudly upon being clobbered with the booze-bottle.

Battle-scared? Hopefully, you mean battle-scarred.

And there is nothing specific about that description that says eastern themed. But you did identify a set of aesthetic tropes that do indeed come from samurai films. Reed actually has numerous salutes in his character to a certain film, which I thought was rather well known, but nobody seems to have gotten it yet.

Anyway, Reed blinks, and then steps towards the fox. "Sorry, friend. I thought the booze was playing tricks on me."

We roll it in a rolling thread. A 2 Helen sees Shania first.

Don't mind Rebo's typos. They happen.

Avatar finishes up rubbing his head with a paw and decides to just make do with grinning at Reed mischievously. "Ah, c'mon now. You've got to have seen things weirder than me before. But I guess I should just take the perceived strangeness as a complement, huh? An alcohol hallucination is a step up from what that chicken farmer was calling me the other day."

Oh, yay! That's good. I've used that rolling thread...twice before. (One of the times was to see whether my character or Kerfuffle's character had to wear the gender-bending belt for an hour...I lost)

Helen, after glancing around the room one last time, just happens to look out the window. She notices Shania walking up...and she quickly shape-shifts to human. She's already frightened her before, and she doesn't want to scare the poor girl again.

Helen then walks out the door, smiling, and says, "Oh, hey! Fancy seeing you here!"

Reed nods as he recovers his bottle. "I've seen stranger things, yes. I'm not sure those weren't hallucinations either."

Shania smiles at Helen and rushes toward her. Helen!! I'm so glad you're here. She tries to hug her. I looked for you at HALO, but couldn't find you.

Helen hugs her back. That would have been bad if I didn't see her... she thinks.

Well, I had some other things I had to do, so I couldn't stay at HALO, she says. I'm glad you're here too!

And Avatar and Helen don't count as 'anyone'?

Charity finishes up painting the sign and goes inside. After cleaning her brushes and putting the paint away, she climbs up to her nice warm bunk with a book. Jane Eyre, if anyone's curious.

He just...didn't notice them. Maybe it's a sight problem.
Maybe he just doesn't like them.

"Heh. Guess that's a decent way to describe this crazy place," the fox nods in agreement. "So... What brings you down this particular road? Here to see my new neighbors?"

He nods in the direction of the lodge a few hundred yards away.

Reed shakes his head. "I'm just going where my feet take me."

Helen hugs her back. That would have been bad if I didn't see her... she thinks.

Well, I had some other things I had to do, so I couldn't stay at HALO, she says. I'm glad you're here too!

Okay. Shania smiles, then looks around. So this is the new GLoG. How..... old fashioned.

Yes, it's a little old-fashioned... she says, but it kinda reminds me of camping. And, don't worry, it'll be fixed up and made better. Helen smiles.

Ashna is watching all the people. Wondering who they are. Probably members she's never seen.

Shania shivers at the mention of camping. She never liked camping. And now she remembers why.

I don't really get into camping. It's too.... open. She frowns.

She notices Ashna. Who's that?

[Rebonack]

"Aahh. One of the wherever the wind blows types. Fits well with your attire, too," the fox observes with a sagely, genre savvy nod. "Well, glad it blew you by me. I'm Avatar, by the way. Or... That isn't my actual name. My actual name is a real bugger to pronounce. So Avatar will have to do."

"Oh, you don't? I'm sorry," she says.

Then, she looks over at Ashna...(She's the vampire paladin, right? If so...) Oh. I've met her before. She seemed a little cold, but it could have just been me.

Shania suddenly has a brainfreeze and passes out.

Reed glances around. "Hm. I keep needing a name to give people. I told one person to call me 30-Year Reed. Another to call my Empty Bottle. I'll tell you to call me 30-Year Pine, or one of the other two."

Helen, seeing Shania pass out, brings her inside, out of the cold. And maybe puts a blanket around her, or something.

Then, she looks over at Ashna...(She's the vampire paladin, right? If so...) Oh. I've met her before. She seemed a little cold, but it could have just been me.
