Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Take 20 on use rope to attach a rope to my grappling hook. I will pad the grappling hook with some of the clothing of the creatures in the level so it isn't sharp anymore.
I will attempt to drag over a single card from outside the room. I will not read what is on it, and if I succeed I will take it to the magic mart in order to get an appraise on it. (1g right?)Last edited by Aecus; 2010-01-03 at 02:44 PM.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Of course, here are my purchases. I just have one more question before I finalize them. How thick are the walls above the doors? I sorta want to use drills. If you can't answer this, may we continue but retroactively apply the purchase if the walls were under 3 inches or less thick?

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
All walls are solid and indestructible.
You come to in the following room:Spoiler{table]|A_|B_|C_|D_|E_|F_|G_|H_

There is a door at D-1, and another at D-7. There are vending machines in the room, with a notice that you can use these precisely once.A wise monk trains both mind and body, but a smart monk is actually a swordsage.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
How many vending machines, and does that mean exactly 1 item purchased from a machine or one order?
Kakari will conduct his new searching procedure from D7!
NEW SEARCHING PROCEDURE!
Before each corridor Kakari is going to summon a bat swarm and let the swarm and let it do its thing before he looks into the corridor. Then he is going to steadily advance with detect magic up at all times. He is going to go at 20ft above ground level (rather than 15ft) and continue to poke with his pole 10ft ahead of him.
Please notify me if he gets hit by a trap, finds something interesting not along with blank corridors or otherwise. He will not be immolating any card he sees at this point.
If Kakari starts getting hit by traps or finding other interesting things please tell me, but otherwise same as last time, Kakari will explore as much of the corridors as he can before going into the rooms. If it matters, stick to the right.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
One order.
The swarm scatters purposelessly.
The dungeon is different.
I would like a reminder about your senses..
The south door reveals a 15-foot wide corridor, flooded with murky water. It runs south for fifty feet before ending in a sandy beach that continues for another thirty feet, ending in a door. 15ft down the hall is a split east (that hall is 15ft wide as well)A wise monk trains both mind and body, but a smart monk is actually a swordsage.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Kakari has Darkvision 60ft, See Invisibility, and assume he Detects Magic before he ever advances.
He also has a listen and spot check of +6, if I ever need to roll those.
Hrm. Setup caltrops under the door.
While hanging from the opposite side of the door, Kakari will do an entangling shaped lightning exhalation into the water. (30 ft cone) (I assume lightning damage does fine in water right?)

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Kakari will do it again two more times before he picks up his caltrops and starts his movement. Kakari will for now advance to the ceilling, tapping the spaces ahead of him with his 10ft pole first and looking for push plates and such. Again he has detect magic up as he advances before he ever advances even close to a new square.
If he can he will make his way to the corridor heading east and then summon a bat swarm before it.
He will also take 20 on a listen and spot check over the water for a total of 26 before he advances, in case he sees something or hears something under the water.
If he gets to the corridor and the bat swarm does nothing, he will entangling exhalation the other side of the water two times just for good effect, and then he will look into the new corridor.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
The split east continues for forty-five feet before joining with another sandy beach. After forty-five feet, it splits north into a five-foot wide waterway.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Exhalations as I go down the corridor, 10 ft pole, detect magic etcetera
Kakari will continue to the bend and then bat swarm/exhalation down the 5 ft waterway and then if nothing, head down that way.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
I assume sandy means I can't lard it? If so then 2 vials of oil, caltrops, 15 ft up from the door. If not, I lard the sand under the door.
Open the door when a bat swarm is out, the usual.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Opening the door reveals a large hall flooded with murky water the same way as the one you left. It goes east and widens going south. The sand makes a 5ft wide pathway next to the wall. (It's hard to describe this one accurately, so I will leave it to the map when you explore this room more..)

Kakari will stay above the sand and continue through the hallway with the same procedure (bats, exhalations, detect magic, 10 ft poles etcetera.) Heading east.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
What are the black squares?
Detect magic on the note, and then if nothing what does it say?
Edit: I forgot... darkvision doesn't allow reading color which would mean I can't read... huh.... um can I use my fire breath to illuminate stuff enough to read?Last edited by Aecus; 2010-01-11 at 08:01 AM.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Unless you light something on fire for the fire to go on while you read, no.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Okay... Kakari will then tear his sack into many various strips in order to provide brief illumination whenever he needs to read. Then he will light a single strip on fire to read the note.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
Kakari will start summoning rat swarms on the sand (in case something is burrowing for example...)
and then he will start spouting acid at any irregular shaped protrusions in the sand to see if it uncovers anything and he will stop the second he sees anything not ynow, sand. (anything more than 5ft of sand next to the wall, such as the protrusions going further into the wall or further into the water_/
He also will detect magic in the time between each acid breath.
If nothing occurs after 10 acid baths for each protrusion, Kakari will start lowering himself into the water in the far north of the room, and he will ready an entangling exhalation lighting onto anything that approaches or he sees.

Re: Neverending Dungeon - Kakari
And how are you getting around the fact that sand will flow inside the created holes so the process will be really slow?
Also, instead of telling me how much you spit, tell me how deep you try to get..
And where exactly are you lowering yourself into the water?
And IIRC detect magic can't pass through too thick layers..A wise monk trains both mind and body, but a smart monk is actually a swordsage.
