Xanthia is thoughtful as she gets dressed. "It seems strange... though... everyone the sorcerer has harmed has been someone who either dealt or used the drug. Perhaps in some wierd way, he actually believes he is doing good by stopping those who seek this corruption."

[AssassinKing]

Loken goes up the ladder, and into a good spot to stay for a little while(about 20 minutes at the most) and goes back down.

Hack sees if anyone else in the marketplace is selling firearms, if so he attempts to sell the autoguns on his back. Looking out for any items on his shopping list. All the while keeping an eye out for his targets.

“Katriona is the only person we found outside the room,” said Pius. “If these other friends of yours went with the sorcerer, I don’t envy them their demise.”

He considered what Kensington had said.

“You say Esthe recognised him. Do you know where she lived – or where else Gagne might have gone?”

[Saldre]

Pius:

"No, I don't think she knew him that well: After he left she just said he was a co-worker. Was, in that she had no seen him for a few weeks now... but she avoided the subject, and I did not press her... i had... other things to attend too..." He answers. "As for where she lives... you could say she'd moved into the hotel rooms with me..."

"What was this Esthe's occupation, then?"

He seems slightly embarrassed: as if what he's about to say could possibly be worse then the entire situation he's in.

"She's... hmmm... she's.... a clerk in the some administrotum's office... somewhere..." He mumbles.

[LCP]

"Mr Kensington, in all probability your life is already forfeit for what you have done. Do not compound your heresy by lying to me. Tell me this woman's real occupation, and where to find her or her employers."

As you survey the area, you notice two thugs (much like the big one carrying the gun in the alley) make their way trough the crowds towards the white square.

As you walk about the crowded tunnels, you see a shady man motion to you from a distance.

"I can take those off your hands" He says, pointing to the guns. "140 thrones for the lot of them, how about it?"

Pius:

"Its true! She's a Clerk! There! I said it! If Father were to find out, He'd probably disinherit me. Can you imagine? Me, a Kensington, with a lowly Clerk..." He asks, perhaps not quite realizing the amount of trouble he's actually in now that the agonizing pain has stopped.

[LCP]

Pius gave a mirthless smile.

"Your lower-class liasons are unlikely to be the first thing on your father's mind when he hears of this."

"Nevertheless, you have still not told me where she lives. And I am now convinced you do know."

[Saldre]

Kensington ponders really hard, trying to remember.

"I truly don't know where she lives: I have never had to pick her up myself... we would always meet elsewhere, closer to the lift... couldn't you imagine the scandal if someone had recognized me waiting outside of a low-class residential complex?" He asks.

"I know she works in this sector's office... we would meet after her shift was done, she would head towards the lift: but that's about it. I don't like it when she talks about her job, its so tedious: and she was going to quit either way so that we could spend more time together..." he finishes.

"Only 140 thrones? What do you take me for? I've inspected these guns myself, and they are all in perfect working condition, surely you could make me a better offer?" Hack says, straightening to his full height just to add a little emphasis.

[Saldre]

"Now now, I am doing you a favor there: look here, see these scratches here and there? These poor things have been poorly maintained, a quick shining isn't gonna hide signs like that: it'll be hard enough to sell them back as is." He says, as he points to various scratches on the guns.

[LCP]

"I see," said Pius. Disappointing: Gagne was hardly likely to have taken any of the unfortunates that had gone with him to their workplace. If all else failed, they could enquire at the Administratum offices for Esthe's address - but time was precious as long as Gagne was still at large.

Standing up, Pius looked back at Kensington.

"I'm going to leave you in this doctor's care. I advise you not to contemplate escape - the Arbites will be informed of your name, and your crimes. Until they arrive, I advise you to pray for redemption."

Turning, he left the room, heading off to find Xanthia and the others. Opening the door to the examination room, he touched his cap to the doctor, turning to look at the slumbering Katriona.

"Is there any chance of reviving her soon?"

[Bowerbird]

"Hrmm" Hack emits an electronic sounding grunt, as he bends to peer at the weapons, examining them closely for the signs of damage of which the man speaks.

"She will probably wake up soon by herself: I have given her a minor sedative to calm her nerves, she's been trough quite a lot. Like I just finished saying to Xanthia here, the girl has suffered sever shock: I can't quite imagine what she's seen to induce such behavior. She did not even have any of the drug in her system. There's no saying how she'll react when she wakes up."

It seems only one of the guns is a low quality model... A quick examination of the others reveals quite the opposite: they are all almost perfect. Those Scums sure loved those guns. Expect Johny, who was a little retarded: he couldn't possibly maintain his to the same extent.

"Fine fine, Listen: I will give you 225 instead. For someone who's trying to get rid of so many, and looks like he knows what he's talking about, you know that this is a great deal."

[LCP]

"Then we'd best wait," said Pius. "She may be our best lead. Apparently the sorcerer took her with him - she must have escaped."

[Saldre]

Pius and Xanthia:

"She did say something... about going somewhere. But she was too far gone by then, I am afraid I couldn't catch it." He says.

[Wiz]

Xanthia nods, "She asked me the question... 'Where are we going?' in the hallway, and then she mumbled something else, but I couldn't hear it - and frankly my attention was on Kensington at the time." She looks at the doctor, "Can we move Kensington any time soon? I'm sure that the Commisar will want him taken into custody, and I don't want you involved in any kind of difficulties or have any suspicions flung your way simply because you were doing me a favor."

Loken watches carefully for what the two guys do. He readies his hunting rifle with the silencer and the telescopic sight, just in case he needs to take a shot.

[LCP]

"We can arrange for the Arbites to take him from here. Our friend Quint will no doubt have a cell that can hold him until justice can be served." He looked at the doctor. "There is no reason for suspicion to fall on you. You have done the Emperor's work."

[Saldre]

Pius and Xanthia:

The doctor nods to them both.

"Of course, you can keep him here*. He should not be escaping any time soon, and I will keep watch for the Arbitrators. What about the girl?" He asks.

The two thugs are heading to the white square at the center of the area... you can spot someone scrawny walking between them... could it be Finial?

[LCP]

Pius shrugged.

"We wait for her to wake up. She's the only surefire lead we have."

[Wiz]

Xanthia nods, "Sorry I didn't overhear what she said in the hall... it might have been a clue."

Pius looked up, recalling what was said.

“She seemed to be delirious. ‘Where are we going – but the Imperial Arms is closed.’ I think that was what she said.”

A thought seemed to strike him.

“The Imperial Arms. Do you know where that is?”

Xanthia looks thoughtful, then nods. "I think so. It's actually an old dance hall, but it was badly managed and not in a good location, so it closed. However, some people I know occasionally go there for... privacy..."

Loken is going to shoot the guy in one of his legs, or at least try.

Pius' eyes lit up.

"What if that's where Gagne was taking her?"

He seemed enthused by the idea.

"At first, I thought she was just assuming I was one of the partygoers - looking for a new watering-hole to go to. But what if she was just repeating what she'd already said? If the Arms has been closed down, no-one would suggest it as a destination for a night out - but if it's used as a rendezvous for illicit encounters, we know the witch uses whores. Kensington just told me he left that disgusting place with three other girls in tow, as well as Katriona."

He bit his lip.

"He could be there right now. How far is it from here - and where we left the others?"
