Your not quite sure how much time has passed as the Chimeras drive across the hive towards some unknown destination.

When they finally stop- gas begins to fill the sanitized holding area. You feel yourself getting dizzy as it begins to take effect- and though you do your best to resist, you find yourself slowly drifting to sleep.

As your eyes close, you see the chimera's door open and a blur of people walk in. Everything seems to move in slow motion as they grab onto you and place on stretchers, carrying you inside a large white building.

The next few days are a blur: you remember waking up on several occasions under the probing eyes and tools of a medical staff. Tests were ran: medical, psychological, physiological- in order to determine whether or not you have been affected.

After passing trough a seemingly endless procession of scanners of machines, you finally wake up in a plain white room- its only furniture consisting of a bed and a white table besides it, separated from a hallway by a wall of glass.

A man, who you can only guess is a doctor of some sort, walks to the glass and opens the door.

"We have the results of your tests- everything is negative. We apologize for the Inconvenience, I am sure you understand the importance of these procedures." He says, looking rather apologetic.

"I have been asked to escort you to the waiting room- you have a hearing in an hour, no doubt to give your report on what happened. Please follow me." He says, then turns, and begins to walk down the hall.

When you exit your room, you find Pius and Loken there.

[Wiz]

Xanthia smiles, seeing her companions. "Well, it looks like we made it through safe and whole."

[Saldre]

Now for Hack:

As you ride aboard the Chimera- you can't help but realize something. Your few... imperfections... will not be ignored so easily after a situation like: no doubt Quint has informed the proper authorities of the full extent of the threat.

You finally reach your destination- and the dread moment arrives. The Chimera's door opens... and a lone man walks in...

"Mister Hack- It is time for your examination." He says, and opens your door.

[Bowerbird]

"With regards to that, there are a few... irregularities, which I hope the Adeptus can account for. I trust you will not jump to rash conclusions." Hack says, standing up and walking out of the chimera.

I assume the Mechanicus know about my mutations, and have still allowed me to join, therefore I must have some sort of sanction. Just making sure they check this before burning me. That would be... inconvenient. :P

[Saldre]

Hack:

Show

He leads you outside, towards a large white building... but he does not take the front-doors, instead slipping inside one of the alleys.

"Simply procedure Mister Hack- I am sure you understand. Please, come this way." He says, motioning towards a doorway.

You can't help but notice none of the armed guards have followed.

He opens the door- revealing a long white hallway.

"Follow me." He continues, and walks inside.

[Bowerbird]

Hack follows, noting his surroundings with passing interest.

[Saldre]

He finally stands in-front of a door. When he opens it, you find that it leads into a (relatively) luxurious white room, clearly reserved for the higher paying patients.

"We have gotten a call- you have been exempt from the examination. But you will remain under observation for a few days. These are your quarters- you are not to leave under any circumstances."

[Bowerbird]

"Understood," With that Hack sits down on a chair, making himself comfortable. "I trust my gear, as well as that of my associates will be returned to us upon the successful passing of this quarantine?" After receiving the answer he settles in to wait.

[Saldre]

Hack:

"Yesir- your possessions are being examined, once they pass
a few tests they will be returned." He says before turning to leave.

Much like the doctor has said, you pass the next few days in the single room. Your meals are brought on time- gourmet food. But the entertainment is lacking, and time passes slowly.

After what seems like an eternity- the door finally opens again. The doctor is back.

"Mister Hack- we have have been satisfied, you show no signs of infection. Your presence is requested in the conference room on the third floor. Please follow me." He says, without as much as a Hello.

[Bowerbird]

Hack spends the intervening time in meditation with the Omnissiah. Once the doctor enters and gives him his instructions, Hack nods, rising from his chair and following the doctor as indicated.

[LCP]

Pius took a seat, waiting patiently for their debriefing.

"Do you still have our effects, doctor?" the Commissar asked. "I'm rather attached to them."

[Saldre]

Everybody:

The doctor leads you into a small room. A few chairs placed along the walls and a single table at the center make up the only pieces of furniture here.

"Your items have been... mostly recovered. Some have been exposed to toxins and had to be destroyed. Please wait here, You will be called for shortly." He answers, and before you can say a word, turns and leaves.

You are left alone- and in a few minutes, they would bring in you in for questioning: and you had best have your stories straight.

[Bowerbird]

Sitting down, Hack turns to the others, "Greeting comrades, I assume your quarantine internment was satisfactory?"

[LCP]

"It was... unremarkable," said Pius, flatly. "And necessary, I'm sure."

[Wiz]

xanthia nods, "I just hope we got that thing... and all they had to deal with was cleanup."

[Saldre]

Everybody:

A good twenty minutes pass before the doctor returns.

"Gentlemen, and lady- he adds nodding to Xanthia-They will see you now, please follow me."

He leads you out of the room, and across the hallway to the conference hall. Opening a massive set of doors, he motions you inside and towards your seats.

The room, much like of the others in this hospital are plain. There is no furniture here, save for the large gilded mirror above the fireplace. On the opposite side, a large screen- currently turned off, is hanging from the wall. Beneath it, four chest-like boxes are lined on a fancy table. On each of them, a scroll has been attached.

"They are all here" the doctor says, though there is no one there. A strong, masculine voice rises from the screen's speakers.

"Good- You may leave." It orders him- and he does as instructed, turning around and exiting the room, shutting the door behind him.

The screen then lights up to the image of a shadowy figure sitting behind a large ornate desk. The image, clearly transmitted from a dark office, is blurry at best: only the voice is crystal clear.

"I have gathered you all here today- for I was the one to pay your bills." There is an undeniable sense of authority to the voice. Though you have not heard it in years, you suspect it is your old acquaintance, Inquisitor Omen Yenz.

"You were sent to destroy the Idyll believed to have been smuggled here in the last few days. But it seems you stumbled upon something much greater during your investigation". He says then stops for a moment, you can see him drumming his fingers together.

"Pray tell- what exactly happened this evening?"

[LCP]

Seeing that none of the others were feeling in an expository mood, Pius began - relating in a straightforward manner everything he had seen and done, including his actions at the Terrace, he concluded with the destruction of the daemon and the appearance of the clean-up team.

[Wiz]

Xanthia was waiting, feeling it most appropriate that she let Pius give the information. If (and only if) she is asked for her own account or to fill in whatever she witnessed but Pius may not have she will also give an accurate account save for actually mentioning Dr. Fremde's name - she will refer to him as a physician friend of hers. However, if they insist upon knowing his name, she will give it.

[AssassinKing]

Loken sits back comfortably while waiting for this quarentine stuff to end so he can enjoy his life as an assassin and open up his bar. If they ask him about something, he will cooperate.

[Bowerbird]

Hack stands to one side of Pius. He was appointed as CO, thus Hack will let him do the talking.

[Saldre]

Everybody:

"I see..." The Inquisitor begins. The screen display suddenly changes to an overhead pict recording of the Imperial Arms.

"While you were being decontaminated, several teams were sent inside the remains of the hall."

The screen changes once more- now displaying a team moving about the broken ruins, as if excavating some great cavern.

"What they found inside shed new light on a case that had Arbites baffled for seven weeks now."

Again, the screen changes: the team have managed to cross the great hole in the ground, leading down to the summoning chamber and have descended past the secret stairs into the underground hallway.

"Over forty disappearances- mostly scum, tramps and other lowlifes, had taken place: but that is, relatively speaking, normal in these... zones.... What makes this situation... is what the team found next..."

Now the screen shows the team opening one of the doors and entering inside. Their flashlights flood the room, illuminating it- and bringing the horrors within to light.

Over a dozen bodies, in an state of complete decay, are sprawled across the floor: piled on top of each other. As the team explores the other rooms, they find them in a similar state.

"Now we understand Gagne's true purpose, and the link between the disappearances." He says, as the screen reverts back to the inquisitor in his office.

"Congratulations- you have saved Malfi from two threats, each greater then the other. In addition, you have set an example to those that would falter from the path- The Kensingtons will be subject to an investigation, along with events that Unfolded at the Terraceton Suits. You shall be rewarded for your services, and you can look forward to a bright future if you keep up the good work- for now, make yourselves comfortable while the doctors arrange for your release."

With that, the screen goes black. Moments after, the doctor opens the door and steps in the conference room.

"I have taken the liberty of delivering your possessions to your rooms, if you'll follow me back there." He says, and leads the way.

Xanthia:

When you enter your room once more, you find the Doctor has been true to his word. Lined atop a white table, your find your four guns and your father sword.

As he turns to leave, the doctor stops, as if remembering something.

"Ah, I almost forgot- here." he says, reaching into his pocket: he pulls out a bottle of ink and extends it to her.

"You must have been writing non-stop to finish an entire bottle, The Inquisitor is rather pleased to know you're making good use of his gift.

[Wiz]

Xanthia takes the bottle of ink and looks confused, "What do you mean?"

[Saldre]

Xanthia:

"Why- I am talking about the Journal. Don't you remember? You were asking for it just a few days ago, and the Inquisitor had one delivered." He answers, looking slightly worried. His expression shifts as he realizes something. "Oh- No need to be shy: Under Inquisitor Yenz orders, your quarters are guaranteed utmost privacy."

As he says that, your vision is inexplicably drawn to the closer drawer on your bedside table.

[Wiz]

Xanthia goes over and opens the drawer, looking within.

[Saldre]

Xanthia:

Opening the drawer, you find a small brown book within. Though very similar to the one you had lost a few days ago to the decontamination squad, this one is rather new.

"Is everything all right?" The doctor asks from the door.

[Wiz]

Xanthia nods, "Oh yes... I'm fine." She smiles. "Sometimes new knowledge is gained and it's best if expressed in your own hand... through your own mind. Thank you for the ink."

[Saldre]

Xanthia:

"How very true." He says, nodding politely.

"Well, I hope you have enjoyed your stay: feel free to pack your things and leave once your ready. They will check you out at the front desk. Good bye." He finished before exiting the room and shutting the door behind him, leaving the adept to herself.

[Wiz]

Xanthia will, when alone, open the journal and look to see what she has written.

[Saldre]

Xanthia:

You open the Journal. On the first page, Xanthia's full name is written out in fancy gold lettering. Flipping the page over, she gets to the journal proper.

On the first and second written out pages, she finds the details of what she did during the last two days, after she received the diary.

Though she has no recollection of having written this, she can't help but recognize the hand-writing as her own.

It is only when she reads the third page that a chill goes up her spine.

The text in question outlines her schedule for the day: from the final few tests that were run on her, to her meeting with the Inquisitor and finally the discovery of the journal and her confusion upon finding it- along with her desire to understand exactly what it means.

A post scriptum at the bottom of the page mentions scribbling at the end of the journal, and how she cannot make any sense of it.

At the top of the page, today's date is inscribed in the same golden lettering at the front of the page.

As she comes to realize she could not have possibly written this earlier in the day- she can't help but wonder how much time has passed between the doctor leaving, and her opening the journal.

[OOC: For now- you gain an insanity point and a corruption point as you realize there's something with this book. On the other hand, you can choose to explore it further- the journal does mention something weird at the end of it.]

Xanthia will flip through the journal page by page til she gets to the wierd scribbling at the end which she described.
