Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Aha, may be a teleportation device! Thought NEDdie03 to himself, although he isn't quite ready to test his theory yet. At the T intersection, he flips a gold coin, barely catches it, and decides to head west and north, while following standard procedure - longstaff hilt first out front seeking out pits and traps, and eyes peeled for signs of possible trap triggers and hostile creatures.
Er, that would be longspear.Last edited by VinGoodman; 2010-02-22 at 07:14 PM.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Just to mention, you have not been in room #7.
to the west, you look north and see a 40' corridor, with turnings to the east after 10, 20, and 40'. You also see a large green note cards hanging from the wall opposite the second turning.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
I proceed to just short of the second turning, and look at the green card, all the while searching for pits and traps (I hate pits). Oh, and I look east as I past the first turning.
Edited to add: Yeah, I haven't dealt with it yet (room 7). I did find out there's a chest with a note on the latch. But I'm scared of what could happen, and so am on the hunt for more "obvious" targets while leaving that room alone.Last edited by VinGoodman; 2010-02-22 at 08:08 PM.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
You read the card, which says 'You've been poisoned. Have fun.'
Make a fort save, please. And another for a minute later, and a third just in case..

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Both of the first two turns end after 10', and head towards each other, obviously meeting. There's a door at the end of the first one, on the east wall.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
NEDdie03 carefully work my way to the door. He pauses at the door, puts the longspear against the side wall, and searches and listens through the door. If he thinks it's safe, he wields the longsword, and opens the door.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
EDdie03 winces at as the attack makes contact. He is well versed in the various weaponary, and knows this is one weapon that can end his life all too quickly.
He declares the creature to be the target of his stance, and responds in kind with a Steely Strike.

Oh, and since you read that card, I still need those 3 fort saves. Could you please roll a pair of d100s each time you attack, too?Last edited by term1nally s1ck; 2010-02-22 at 08:42 PM.

Grinning makes NEDdie angry, apparently...you kill him.

Sweet! Looks like NEDdie03 has a new weapon. Moment while NEDdie03 figures out which direction to go. For now, he searches the room, and looks out each of the two doors, with his new-found scimitar in hand.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Out the northern door, the corridor goes 15' west before headed south (it meets where you already visited), and 5' east before turning north.
Out the eastern door, the corridor goes 25' south before turning west and meeting up with where you've been before, and 25' north before turning west.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Taking the potion and the scimitar. NEDdie03 pickups up his longspear to proceed with SOP, hoping for success with the next encounter as well. He heads east and north most carefully, looking for pits, traps, creatures and doors...

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
10' north of the turning, you reach a 4-way intersection:
To the north, there's a pit straight after the intersection, and you can see a turn to the east 5' after the pit.
To the east, there's a pit straight after the intersection, and 15' after the pit it meets up with what you could see from the eastern exit from that room.
To the west, it turns north after 10'.

To the north:
After 20', there's a door on each side of the corridor, and after 40' the hall turns east.

Re: NeverEnding Dungeon - NEDdie03
Unless there is a trap or I hear something ominous...NEDdie03 goes with the left door (door to the west). With the scimitar at the ready, he opens the door...

There is a door at A-2, which you are just outside of and another at C1 east. There is a large lever with a bright red handle in the center of the room. There is a cake in the southeast corner of the room, on a tray bolted to the floor, with frosting reading something. . A note attached to the wall above the cake reads something else.
