    NEDdie03 searches the room and looks out the door at C5. Then he picks up the shortspear and scimitar, sheathes them, and heads back out the door at A5. He heads west and north, prodding along the way.

    Out the other door all you see is a short 20' corridor that turns south at the end.

    headed back outside A5, you go west 10', and north 30' to meet an east/west corridor. To the west the corridor turns south after 10', meeting up with where you've already been. To the East, there's a turning north after 20', and the corridor turns south after 30'

    NEDdie03 will take the north turn after 20', and basically take left most direction whenever I need to choose, with S.O.P, stopping for door, creatures, trayps and creatures.

    You trigger an acid splash trap after 10', (d20+8)[28] vs flatfooted touch for (1d3)[3] damage.

    you go 10' north, 10' west, 10' north jumping a pit, 10' east and are standing next to a large green notecard hanging from the wall.

    NEDdie03 keeps listening (move action's worth) until he hears something, intending to throw his spear at the location he hears, if he hears it. If the move action goes by peacefully, he readies an attack at first thing he sees or attacks it (can you ready against both? If not, he readies it in response to first attack against him, throwing if necessary).

    If nothing happens, he exits the room, closing the door. He passes where the green note got him, over the pit trap, and tries to avoid the acid trap, if the trigger is still there (did he figure it out when it hit him?). Then he proceeds east and south from there.

    Edited to add: For completeness, where were the doors in that squirrel room?

    I'm not sure what version of the notes you got, but the ones I gave Sliver (and which he presumably gave theterran) specify that the skiurids chitter constantly (Listen DC 0, +20 to pinpoint) until one of them is killed.

    10: Demon squirrels! Three skiurid on the walls, at +5, +10, and +15 elevation. If any noise is made at the door, a Chill Darkness effect already covers the room. If not, the first skiurid to act uses it. Once the darkness is in place, the skiurid hide, waiting for their foe to enter the darkness before attacking.

    That was all I got. I'll put it in now, though his epic fail at a listen check obviated that via distance penalties. He wouldn't have heard someone talking from 10' away.

    It all seems to loop round, and apart from a few pits and a tripwire which you found, nothing is present in this section. There's still an area to the northeast, and a narrow section to the southeast you haven't been to. And did you open that chest yet?

    Not yet. But I am going to have to soon, I think. It sounds like I've got the SE, NE, squirrel room, chest room.

    Let's start with the SE. NEDdie01 will take the time to explore the SE area, looking for rooms with monsters (and hopefully loot).

    Turns out that one is just a long twisty corridor with a few traps.

    Only one hits you, though: an acid splash trap: (d20+8)[20] touch attack for [roll]1d3[/roll acid damage.

    You reach a dead end shortly after that trap.

    That's pretty annoying. Ok, I'll wait outside the squirrel door, until, say, it's been at least an hour since I was last here. Then I open the door again, with a spear in hand, hoping to get a jump on the 3 squirrels.
