Orbit #82
In space, millions of miles away, there's a huge star. It's purple in color, and has a few planets orbiting around it. Four, to be exact. Each planet contains a different, dominant race, and while they're not the only race, and pretty much ever race imagined exists, they are dominant. While very many other solar systems have been explored, no colonies have been built, except for a few, small refueling town.
The universe has been divided into factions.

Planets
Venrock
The planet farthest from the sun. It's made of a grayish rock and is inhabited by the small group of human settlers that made it this far. It's extremely cold there, all the humans living in a mining station on the southern side of the planet that can hold about three hundred people. The humans are very unfriendly to most other races in the universe.
Venrock IX
Venrock IX is a small moon orbiting Venrock. It has a singular city built on it, deep under the crust. The city is made almost entirely of scrap metal. It's inhabited by mutants, humans that were mutated by science. Humans hate them, and will often try to kill them on sight.

Melete
The next planet in. An ice planet, inhabited by the giant Rereks. Huge, human like creatures, with ice blue skin. They often have very long beads and hair, and wear fur clothing. They live in several nomadic tribes scattered around the planet, and are fairly friendly to all races. This is the lowest tech species.

Vigrolin
The third planet in. It is populated by the Aruae. A peace loving race, allying all except the humans, seeing them as evil beings. It is mainly a water planet, the inhabitants living on, mechanical floating cities. The few islands on the planet are entirely forest covered.

Gau
Although, originally inhabited by a race of strange creatures, it's original inhabits are now extinct. The planet is now a huge trading hub, owned by the caravans.

Factions

The Caravans
A very large, very powerful group of traders. Mainly centered on the planet Gau. But they go from planet to planet trading various goods and weapons.

Planetary Armies
Every planet/race has their own army.

Pirates
A group of convicts and thieves gathered together to get rich. They mainly live on space ships, and use them to attack Caravan shipments. They're hostile to everyone.

Now....

Floating listlessly through space, just outside of Orbit #82 is the Caravan cargo/mining ship; the SSS Veronica, captained by an older man named Rick. His crew are waiting for thhem to get back to Gau. It is a large ship, carrying a four hundred ton load, each crew has private quarters, and there is a very nice dining hall.



Plot is private, no more people can join.

Name: Evanna Sophocles
Gender: Female
Race: Iljaien (character picture has basic traits highlighted) Iljaiens are a sorta-uncommon race; most of them are allied with Aruae, but Evanna is mostly allied with herself.
Age: 27.
Description: Evanna is about 6'10" tall and thin, with pale grey skin. Her hair is shoulderblade-length and black. Her eyes are very large, almond-shaped, and glossy black. Her teeth are small, white, and sharp; her tongue is coal-black. She wears simple clothing; a long-sleeved top, long pants, half-gloves, and boots.
She is attractive in an alien sort of way.

Personality: Evanna isn't cruel, really... but a bit of a schemer and twister.

Equipment and Abilities: Evanna is a pretty good mechanical worker and computer worker. She is able to speak English pretty dang well, with a few verbal pecularities.
Her eyesight is very good, and she sees better in low light than the average human. She is physically flexible to almost unsettling degrees, and her six-fingered hands are very dexterous.
She's got a low-grade stunner for self-defense---six-foot range, enough to knock the average unarmored dude over.
She also has a butterfly knife for utility reasons.

Role: Evanna does odd jobs, but she is first and foremost a talker, a dealer, a jesuitical wheedler. She helps to get tariffs just a bit lower, payment just a bit higher.

Miscellaneous: Her eyes have a malcondition that causes them to constantly leak oily tears at a low rate. This has gained her the nickname of "Griever".

He ship drifts through space. All characters are on it.

Evanna strolls down the hallway to the general sort of commune area.

[Quinsar]

Captain Rick is there, drinking as he usually does.

[Beans]

The lanky alien woman nods to him as she passes, heading for the closest thing to a coffee machine... doodad... thing.

[Quinsar]

Hello Evanna.

[Beans]

Need me to look at those node couplings, Captain? I know they've been on the fritz lately.

[Quinsar]

Sure, if you want too.
Or get a drink.

[Beans]

... Well, I checked 'em last week, so they should be good for another week or so.
And so she gets a drink, sitting across from the captain.

[Quinsar]

He nods and sips his drink.
Two days until Gau.

[Beans]

She sips hers as well.
I'm glad to hear that.

[Quinsar]

I'm tired of hauling this crappy ore. I want to do something exciting!

[Viera Champion]

Leoralo Stently

Gender: Male
Race: Aruae
Age: 25
Description: Leoralo is 6' 3", weighing a good 225 pounds. He is a very muscular guy, as in, he's incredibily buff. He has messy brown hair and hazel eyes. He wears a basic set of jeans, and a plain white tee.

Personality: He doesn't talk much, and isn't very social.

Equipment: Handymans tools.

Abilities: He's damn strong. But because of his race he never fights. He is also a wonder at repairing things.

Role: He moves cargo, and is a repairman. Not really good for much else.



He is... Somewhere on the ship.

Evanna leans a little forward.
Oh?

I dunno.
Maybe we-
There's an explosion, the ship shakes and alarms begin to go off.
Hurry! To the gunner pl-
Another explosion, this knocks the captain to the ground,

[Beans]

Evanna curses, dropping to all fours.
She goes to help the captain up, then skitter off toward the gun-dealio. Still on all fours; it is anatomically possible for her race, but looks straight out of the uncanny valley.

I dunno Beans. I jut imagined them to look like hippies.=p

Leo is running around doing a damage check.

The gunner platform has been blown off, and that section of the ship is sealed off.
A voice comes over the loud speaker;
PLEASE PROCCED TO YOUR QUARTERS AND PUT ON LIFE SUPPORT SUITS IMMEDIATELY!
Rick has gone to pilot the ship.

Evanna heads to her quarters. Just like Sigourney Weaver, she strips to her undergarments and gets in a LS suit.

Leo gets into an LS suit as well.

More ship rocking explosions and machine gun fire.
The shio is heading for a nearby desert planet...

Evanna holds tightly to the floor, cursing violently.

Leo manages to keep his balance quite well.

As the ship enters the atmosphere, it's hit with several more explosion, and begins to fall to the earth.
The characters will be knocked out as they fall to the earth. They will wake up several hours later under the hot sun.

[Beans]

Evanna struggles up and falls down again.
Ugh...
... Heat.
I can tolerate heat.

Leo awakens, and stands up.
