The coup happened offscreen, since no one but DC had any characters in place who could have affected it, but that doesn't mean the aftermath is a cut scene. If you want to influence events, then jump in and influence them.

Well, I'm going to try and make another Spark anyway.

And I didn't say we couldn't- I said we should be able to. Yeah, I get that DC was the only one with characters in place to affect the actual coup (well, technically, it's not over yet anyway) but how my characters will react... well, if the new leadership stays with the same general policies, then my characters will keep their stance. Wary, but wait and see for now.

I'm not sure what a 'spark' is, but I know it's something to do with science, possibly related to magic as well. Anyway, Dr. Rotcod of HATS is an inventor that uses magic to make his things work. He doesn't know he's using magic, and thinks they work because his theories are correct. They aren't, but as long as he thinks they work, they do. Unfortunately, he never expects any of his inventions to work 100% reliably and he's a bit mad.

Firstly, I'd like to say that it's very unfair to send an entire army into a tavern, point a number of guns at someone, and then demand that they leave, all whilst said person is deadtimed and doesn't get a chance to do any of that same preparation in the meantime. A single attack for them to react to upon their return is reasonable, a platoon of heavily armored supertroopers summoned out of nowhere, to deal with a nearly mortally wounded cyborg, is simply ludicrous. I'll play along for now, but let it be known that I am quite irked.

Secondly, how did these people find out so quickly and immediately realize it was an illegitimate coup? I would think news of it wouldn't get around that fast, and even if it was, the sudden intrusion of SuperArmorNinjaSWAT with WorstNightmareCloaks would still be under investigation.

Thirdly, holy fudge. Magtok is going to snap when I finally get to posting in Trog's his Tavern. With all those guns pointed at him, a dead catgirl, he'd just been face-to-face with his worst fear for the first time in about two years, and rust eating away at his prosthetic bits, even I haven't a clue what he's going to decide on first.

2. if 4 guys get mown down within seconds of entering the bar, better to send more than enough men.
3.EDEN has spy cams all over the nexus, for example the one that got shot down at watchtower. and news travels fast if it does so at the speed of light
4. when did I say they were SuperArmorNinjaSWAT? the grade A hazmat suits are only a protection again fluids and gasses. bullets swords or a rancor foot cut through them easily. they are simple mooks that take EDEN a day to grow and 5 days to train(via the matrix)

the floating cameras (look a bit like the personality spheres from portal. only a lot smaller. and invisible) have been there since the big screen was erected in inside. there are some around GLoG, HALO(not in HALO, that would be too difficult, but waterproof models exist), AMEN,HATS, and several hidden all over inside

Let's see. A few things I need to clear up.

The coup thing was done to accomplish several goals, OOC-wise, anyway. Figured it made sense IC. The first is dealing with all the resistance-stuffs I so loathe dealing with (brings excessive drama 'n OOC divisions), another is to lessen my workload with the thing, and finally and to deal with a certain complaint I've heard several times. That thing about not being able to affect things? Yeah.

I'm not going to have absolute control anymore, though I fully intend to retain major authority over the Imperial Army and ISF, with perhaps a lesser influence on civil issues. Yes, there's going to be a separation of government and military, yaaaaaay.

Just let me work.

EDEN has provoked more than Magtok-based or HATS-based wrath today.

They're acting like they own the place. Operating an entirely separate military force complete with tanks and everything inside the city itself, and causing wanton damage as a result of their activities.

Believe it or not...the law isn't on EDEN's side. >.>
