    Reflex Save:
    (1d20+4)[23]

Just to clarify, one halved is still one, right? Also, how far is the creature from me at this point?

Anyway, I'll fire off another shot and continue stepping 15 ft back. Unless he's right in front of me, in which case I'll reverse those actions.

    Spoiler

    Attack:
    (1d20+2)[18]
    Damage:
    (1d8+1)[3]

    Indeed it is.

    Save passed.

    Hit. No kill.

    Ongoing (d8)[8] halved damage.

Assuming you're backing off to the east, (the west is blocked by that pit) you're now at the north/south crossroads.

He follows, and breathes more fire:

    (d6)[4] halved on reflex.

Hm. Well, the 4 points of damage brings me down to -2, sooo yeah.

    Restart/Rebuild?

Advice will be given if asked for.

Eh, more like bad build. And yes, I would greatly appreciate any advice.

All core, Races of Faerun, Races of the Dragon, and the Spell Compendium.

    Not a whole lot. :/

    Races of the Dragon...

Remind me, does that have one of: Dragon Shaman, or Dragonfire Apprentice.

No, neither. It includes draconic skills, feats, prestige classes and racial substitution levels, like Dragonblood Sorcerer and Spellscale Bard.

    Huh..

Well, I'd go with maximising AC, and find a good way to DPS down enemies.

Dragonwrought Venerable Kobold would give you a +3 to all mental stats, letting you grab monk and get a lot of bonus AC. Make it a Jungle Kobold, you lose 2 Int not 2 con.

Plus, with the kobold web enhancement, you have an excellent attack routine for close-range.

However, you're also high-dex. Grab a ranged weapon (any bow is great), and pepper people from distance. You can have fun opening and closing doors and hopping over pits.

Alternatively, the warlock would be incredible for the other class. The eldritch blast would be an excellent way to do damage (ranged touch attack for 1d6 at L1, at will), and the darkness invocation (as spell, at will) lets you hide provided you get cover at some point, while still being able to see your opponent, because darkness actually creates light.

If you're interested, I can provide the details on the warlock.

Yes, actually. That sounds very interesting. And thank you a lot for the help, I don't have much experience in the way of being a PC.

Well, it's available on Crystalkeep, so:

Alignment: CG, CN, LE, NE, CE
    Combat: Rogue
    Good Save: Will
    Hit-Die: d6
    Armor: Light
    Weapons: Simple
    Skill Points: 2
    Str: Jump.
    Con: Concentrate.
    Int: Craft, Know(arcana),
    Know(the planes), Spellcraft.
    Wis: Profession, Sense Motive.
    Cha: Bluff, Disguise, Intimidate,
    Use Magic Device.

Warlocks get Eldritch Blast, a ranged touch attack at-will that does 1d6 damage at L1, and increases as the rogue's SA dice til the warlock gets past Level 11. 60' range.

Warlocks get Invocations, which are at-will spells.

At L1, they gain access to 1 Least Invocation.

Invocations either boost the Eldritch blast, or do other things.

The first few are: Frightful Blast (Save or be shaken), Sickening Blast (Save or be sickened), Eldritch Spear (increase range to 250'), hideous blow (trap), and then at-wills that replicate spells.

Spells replicated: Summon Swarm, See invisibility, fog cloud, Darkness, earthen grasp, shatter, spiderclimb.

I'd just grab one of the darkness, fog cloud, or summon swarm abilities.

The summon swarm has a duration of concentration, so you have to spend a standard action each round concentrating on it, but given that if you find the right setup, you can just sit there and let the things fight it out, it's worth it.

darkness and fog cloud would let you do the hide and snipe tactic, though.

Oh, last thing...the warlock is affected by ASF chance.
