Edit: I would be on board with the squadmate idea before the stuff below. What squard would Algo be on?

I was intending on interacting with the mortals. Algo has the opportunity, the detection abilities, and the desire to do so. He has a personal goal to get his finger in as many situations as possible. He’s sort of a pathological conniver trying to figure out a plot to latch on to and a group of suddenly empowered mortals might shake things up just enough to make things really interesting. He wouldn’t have any plans for them, but he’ll probably take any desires they have and run with it. More interesting that way. He sometimes fancies himself as a sort of plot fairy.

Algo’s favorite part of any story is the reveal, the look on everyone’s faces when everything clicks, and he is currently on a mission to have the most absurd reveal possible. It doesn’t have to be evil or good, light or deep, but it shall be a tale worth retelling.

That okay? How would Koan feel about this? Any goals Algo should be working towards? He can multi-task and restrictions breed creativity.

As for backstory, I am working on a way to combine both entry methods. Basically, the fake foreigner was Algo’s ‘father’. He failed in his mission, and there was a cover up. Algo joined the academy using the animal hollow method and has made it known that the 1vs1 thing is a personal quest (the hollow came after him when his ‘father’ died). Everything involving his ‘father’ was covered up by the other soul society, and Algo is determined to restore his father’s honor.

That leaves Algo free to take the field position he wants, gives him the benefit of 1vs1 ‘fighting’ Koan and gives Koan the benefit of a hollow form most soul reapers have orders to leave alone. It might also guilt-trip people into training him. Right, Algo also connives for his own benefit. It is pathological.

Also, while creating Algo's reaper persona it has become very clear that his "Wind Dance" Shikai would also involve him being a drummer. Bleach RP the Musical?

I think the one we're using is a 4-year. I mean, not that it's a huge deal to anyone. In any case, it will be Kina's first year, as she's been being trained/taught by her grandfather before this time.

I think that would work, horngeek. It would at least make Kina more comfortable.

Aki's 16, but I considered her a Junior.

If she has a late birthday, that's probably accurate.

She'd probably become the girlfriend of... well, I'm not sure. Not one of the bullies, for sure. Not a delinquent, but if someone just had trouble in school, she'd probably help them. And they'd have to treat her with respect.

Apart from that... not sure. But you don't have to make a character just for the purposes of being her boyfriend, you know.

For those wondering what her age is, she's 17.

As for Michiko's recruitment being the trigger for people developing powers beyond 'being spiritually aware', sure cool. For her big 'heel face turn' moment being turned into a sub-section of the first plot and over-shadowed by a 'defeat all the hollows' bit...That I have problems with. Especially since Kasa's drawing shows Michiko y'know...HELPING the people who (by the stated plan) admittedly just insulted the hell out of her.

That the situation Kasanip suggested become more of a climax point for the mortal world kids then an event that gets they are shoved into at game start. Something more akin to a test or trial where they need to survive that situation or even decide to participate it in the first place as a sign of them becoming aware of the greater spiritual world around them. A mini-arc unto itself in other words.

And, as creepy as it may seem, Anthony would probably make a swell tutor for one of the spiritually aware kids if they find out he isn't just the kind doctor...assuming they ain't shinigami of course (in other news, I also nominate him to be the kidnapper for that little plot unless Berry-san wants Nero to do it).

The intention is that Kina's a new student, whatever year she ends up being. Kasanip mentioned a while ago that she'd be a first-year at her age, so that's what I'm going to go with.

Anyways, tgva8889, I'm thinking Ken's theme will be Riyuu since it's Egao only different instruments and less delicate sounding because I can't think of anything better for him and it gives our characters cheesy symbolism that reflects the fact that they are both peaceful people.

She's a new student. She is going to be friends with your char. Aki is going to be her Mentor/Big Sister.

I think the intended plan thusfar is for her to become friends with Izumi through the whole "senior leading around the new underclassmen" thing, then them becoming better friends as they realize they both have special abilities beyond that of mortals. Meanwhile, Ken will end up defending Kina in a moment when Izumi isn't there (probably doing her job as a Sub) and they'll end up friends. Whether or not either of those friendships becomes something else will end up happening as whatever develops.

Feel free to clarify if you think your part of that doesn't make sense or whatever.

Like I've mentioned a couple times (but really long ago) I made Michiko with every intention of being the first plot for the Mortal World students, giving them a human enemy(ies) to confront and overcome and feel special about BEFORE they have to confront the soul-eating monsters who no one else but them can see.
