I'm really just gauging response as to who would help fight and Abyssal.

Silver could be using the term loosely. It could be a page in a late stage of Descent. Or a Lunar abyssal that has been evading the Librarians. Lunars are known for speed, and it's clear that Abyssals have huge increases in physical ability.

Angela have to obey all laws hat apply to hem. I bet the chapters make a law about not using Ink. It would have to be a natural descent, and Librarian intervention would be a faster response in such a case.
And I am purposely saying a LUNAR Abyssal *cough cough*

Well, he will start by taking out the Librarian in the corner, as he's the only Librarian who's there, he thinks. Since the Abyssal-ness makes you better, faster, stronger, the Lunabyssal's main thing is Speed. We don't really see him that much, we mostly see the remains, ie the Librarian slooping over and sensing the presence.

I had an idea. What if each player crafted and controlled an abyssal from the codex that their character uses at different points in the RP, each abyssal gradually getting harder to defeat?

That sounds like a lot of abyssals for one town.

Well, I like the idea. It's not like we're going to be fighting them all at once. Besides, not all Abyssals are going to be as strong as a Lunar Abyssal. Lunars are one of the major codexes 'cause of their use in combat. An Abyssal from a more minor codex might be substantially weaker, not because of any inherent weakness, but just because their Codex doesn't have many combat spells.
