Staying silent anymore wouldn't do any good. Would the monster attack when he said something? Would that be the sign to start the battle? Even though they outnumbered it he was still anxious about fighting it. Would this be his final fight?

A small smile appeared on his lips at the thought. 'If I am to die, then fighting some eldritch monster isn't all that bad a way to go..

"That's not a very good position to fight... Best if it comes out for that.

Fash heads over to stand beside the hole in the wall.

At Aldin's signal, he inches closer, arquebus levelled and aimed in the general direction of whatever it is he's greeting, following the undead's lead on when to engage...

Ceodor frowns, his wings tense. He watches for any signs of aggression from the entity and prepares to fling a spell at it.

"This seems like a rather irksome situation."

The entity pounces at Aldin, moving easily as fast as Draka.

Wide-eyed, the Giff discharges his gun at the strange thing, then drops it back onto its lanyard and summons the anchor chain to his hands instantly via the crystal. Not a chance of getting to reload against something that fast...

Draka rushes towards the well, intent on sealing it. The creature's head whips toward the catman, who suddenly staggers, although he continues moving more slowly.

Seeing what Draka was trying to do, Pomjmur refocused on the... the thing, and set his jaw. The mission came first, always. It had to. this mission in particular. He realised the potential price of failure, and accepted the risk.

He backed up another couple of paces, then steamed in toward the creature, making best use of his reach and the reach of his weapon. He attempted a Devastating Throw, putting to use all his training in the art of the swordsage, trying to hurl the creature as far away from the group and the well as he could...

Devastating throw maneuver. (1d20+18)[23] melee touch via chain from outside its reach. If successful, (1d20+18)[22] opposed strength check. If successful, putting Mr. Happy prone 10ft +5ft per each 5 points its strength check was beaten by, away from party members and the well (and the route to the exit) if possible, and deal (2d6)[6] damage.

Given the fact that the monster was right in front of him and he really couldn't run away at the moment Aldin did the only he could do. Attack and pray it worked.

The entity continues dodging attacks effortlessly. The Quickblade manages to catch it in the torso, but does not do serious damage. Still, you now know one thing - it can be wounded.

Fash digs around in his handy haversack and roll marbles to the monsters feet while keeping in the air.

There's not much he could do.

The horror starts forward at Fash, talons clicking between the marbles harmlessly, when Ceodor suddenly darts towards the caul that is its head. While it is distracted, Draka continues towards the well.

Ceodor mutters an incantation to call forth a creeping cold spell upon the horror, seeing it attack, before acting in such a fashion so as to distract the horror. He wildshapes into a Desmodu hunting bat at the earliest opportunity.

Casting defensively:

Extended Creeping Cold deals 1d6 on the 1st round, 2d6 on 2nd, etc until 6d6 on 6th round.

Very few things could outmuscle a combat-ready Giff marine, and those that were capable of doing so usually required heavy artillery. Sadly, there was no way to get back to the ship in time and his arquebus had been pulling a bit to the left lately. How, then, could you batter this vile thing with sufficient force to stop it?

He looked at it, and to the cracked and battered wall in which it stood. He called out,

"Ceodor, Aldin, Fash, back up, back up now! Get to safety! NOW!"

He would likely only get one shot at this, and built up momentum in his chain. He allowed a couple of moments for everyone to try to get clear, and then he focused his energies according to the techniques in which he was trained, slamming his enchanted chain... right into the masonry directly above the horrid thing.

Attacking the ceiling directly over the creature. Mountain Hammer maneuver. (1d20+18)[23] to hit, dealing (4d6+17)[32] damage, bypassing all hardness and damage reduction. Trying to destabilise a lot of masonry.

He flies out of the way of Pomjmur.

Ears ringing at the loudness of the Giff's shout, Ceodor retreats rapidly from the scene of the battle. It was probably better to take the Giff's advice, he now considered, than to stay and fight, considering the damage the horror inflicted on the necropolitan.

The abomination convulses silently as the cold creeps along its scabrous exterior, backhanding Ceodor as he attempts to flee.

As the taloned terror advances on you all, Pomjmur's anchor chain smashes the old stone, sending large chunks caving in upon your terrible foe.

Draka has made it to the beaconlike well, and is struggling to move a large wooden cover into place over it. He cries out in pain.

The pile of stone begins shuddering. The entity is very likely still alive.

Aldin, who was very hopefully away from the crashing rocks rocks takes advantage of the fact that the thing is stunned and reaches into the center of being, pulling more magic from the depths of... where ever his magic comes from.

"Keep it up! Try to stop this thing from moving at all costs!"

Undeterred by the abomination's apparent survival, the Giff tore his spare smokepowder keg from his belt, lit the emergency fuse and dropped it on or by the moving rubble pile and the wall next to it. He then tried to leg it as best he could in the direction of the well, knowing that this, too was likely only a delaying measure...

Fash heads for the well to help Draka.

The horror's head bursts up from the rubble and snaps towards Draka, who falls to the ground, blood spurting from his ears and mouth. He does not appear to be breathing.

The Giff flattened his ears back against his skull in preparation for the keg exploding, focused on reaching the well and closing it as soon as his little distraction got the attention of the thing.
