Katisugo had sent away the two unseated for the night while he finished up the work on the modifications to the Reiatsu Shield Generator Prototype. As he finishes attaching the last piece of the machine, and recalibrates the system for tomorrow mornings test, he looks at his datapad's clock.

He promptly smiles upon noticing the late hour taking a out a jug merely saying "After Hours" on it and chugs the entire drink.
Ahhh...Damn that was good, lets go see what my ol' friend Myojin's up to tonight.

Katisugo jumps up to the top walkway before flying out the door of 12th Division. Once hes outside it doesn't take but a second for him to spot Myojin now accompanied by Kyasarin, Karite, and Kazuma.
Found ya.

Katisugo flash steps a bit closer to the center and then starts walking the rest of the way. Although Myojin's probably sensed him by now.

"Ah, but you were second Division. That was my job every day for around two hundred years. And look where we are now, doing paperwork every day."

Karite sighs, and then looks up into the sky.

"I suppose there's a reason for it. Not a reason we like, but a reason."

Even the war with Las Noches is actionless. There was more to do when I was stealing food back in the Rukon district.

Ude - 4th Division

Ude shrugged, not seeing anything to make cracks about.

"I can make jokes, but at the moment all I see is a beautiful woman, and I'm very serious about those."

Ude winks at her rougishly. His glove was encased in a Green Light, the Captain of the 4th placing it against her stomach, using a Kido Spell that allowed him to examine inside of a person. It was the same one he used to check up on Natsuko's baby, honestly.

"I see your arm has been attended to by the 12th. Would you mind me taking a look? I can leave it alone if you prefer."

Even the war with Las Noches is actionless. There was more to do when I was stealing food back in the Rukon district.

"Well, if you're so bored, try hitting up Eleventh for a sparring match. That is, if the Captain will let you..."

Kyou growls slightly. "...I've got a Hollow Parasite on my arm. It attached a couple years ago during a training exercise when I was still in the academy."

If it was the kind that requires surgery, she would be doubled over in pain. Ude's checking the size, so he can prescribe the proper dose.

Ude tsked as she ignored his flirting, but nodded. His hand continued to glow as he removed it.

"Would you mind if I examined it? The 12th and I have very different ideas on what is the proper path of treatment, sometimes."

Kyasarin sighs.
I'm not as old as you are, but even for me, things seem to have gotten incredibly dull since I was in the Academy.

Karite nods.

"Don't worry Kyarasin, maybe once the war is over we can go out on patrol again. Hell, maybe we can go back to passing off our paperwork onto the lower seats."

"Yeah, whatever. It's not like it'd hurt things any." Kyou continues to look away, ignoring Ude completely.

Hmmm... I wonder if anyone would find out if I went to the mortal world?...

Ude chuckled.

"Your confidence in me is astounding."

He sheathed his hand in Green again, this being another spell. It was another diagnostic tool, meant to help him poke around mroe spiritual maladies.

"Does it cause you any pain?"

"Not unless you're going to stab it with one of those scalpels." Kyou continues to scowl. "It's pretty much like it's my own arm, but when the power on the seals gets low the parasite starts to take over."

Ude nodded again.

"Has the infection advanced since the 12th applied this device to you?"

"Nope, it's been working pretty well." For once, a compliment! Too bad Kazuo isn't around.

Ude nodded.

"And I assume you retain full control and range of motion with it?"

Myojin turns away from Kazuma, and cups his hands around his mouth.

GOOD EVENING, VICE CAPTAIN SHIHAN!

Myojin's voice booms over the roofs. He turns back, and continues forward.

Gumaki, you said? Interesting. Do you harvest it yourself, or buy it at one of the shops?

Kazuma didn't so much as perk an eyebrow. He had long become used to the odd habits of several of Seireitei's many inhabitants.

"I've taken to growing them myself. Figures it's a good way to practice for my gardening duties. Specially since I'm... not that good at them." He admits this last part embarassedly. "The candy I buy at Rukongai, though."

Kyou nods. "It's a little stronger than normal, but other than that..."

Ude nods, removing his hand from her.

"Would you mind if I asked Kazuo for the information he has on it?"

He turns around.

"Oh, and as sorry as I am to say it, you can dress now."

Kyou doesn't waste any time, quickly slipping her shihakusho back on with efficiency and speed. "Yeah, whatever. ...Can I leave?"

4th Division

Meanwhile, in the waiting room, Masaru has passed the sake bottle he was carrying to Ryouichi. Masaru himself was reading a book, his swords laid across his lap. He finally speaks up without looking up from his novel.

"Hm...how long do you think he'll be in there? She didn't seem like one who'd fall for his "charms", so..."

Ude - 4th Division

Ude chuckled again, this time self deprecatingly.

"Wow, you must find my company very distasteful. No, not quite yet."

Ude turned around, with a small bag, cinched closed with a string at the top.

"A pinch of that every morning and night, and the creature will die soon enough. I'd advising putting it in Tea, or some other kind of drink. It is very unpalatable. Finally, I have one other recommendation..."

Ude's professional doctor face melted away as his task completed, replaced with his normal one.

"...you should come drinking with me, Ryou, and Little Bro, Kyou-Chan!"

4th Division

Ryouichi shrugs. "Who knows. Ude is the 4th Captain for a reason, but he could already be done and grilling her for info now."

Kyou stares directly at Ude now, with those irritable red eyes. "...are you joking? I would rather kiss my tapeworm. Buzz off, lech." Assuming he does nothing to stop her, she makes her way out of the room and on her way to leave 4th HQ, with hardly a glance to Masaru or Ryouichi as she passes through the waiting room.

Karite grins at Kyasarin's comment.

"You'll never get away with it. Well, this is where I have to go, see ya around Kyasarin."

Masaru's eyes follow Kyou as she leaves, then looks at Ryouichi.

"Or, they're done now."

Ude watched her walk off, and stepped out of the exam room sorrowfully, then clapped his hands, all smiles again.

"Let's go get drunk!"

Ryouichi blinks, shrugs, then pumps a fist in the air as he stands. "That's something I can drink to, my friends!"

Masaru smiles and shakes his head.

"All right, let's go. I'll make sure the two of you can walk home."

He stands, tucking his book away but leaving his glasses on.

Natsuko chuckles. "It's all right. We can just relax..."

Taiki nods and drinks some lemonade. Absentmindedly, he clicks his chopsticks together and looks into the distance. "I'm glad I have the kind of time to learn how to cook."
