Taiki smiles a bit more roguishly. "Meet me in 10 minutes? I'll have to make some arrangements."

Natsuko chuckles, as they presumably walk out of the meeting hall. "Hmmm... why not?"

"Knew I wouldn't get away with acting normal for a day." Taiki bends down for a moment, then literally sweeps Natsuko off her feet and holds her in both arms. "Hold on." He shunpos off to their home, making it there in only a minute or so unless someone stops him before he goes.

Natsuko, as directed, holds on, smiling all the way. "Nope. You wouldn't.

This reminds me of some of our dates..."

"It should. I believe for a while this was a standard. But I like to mix things up a bit. Can't get predictable, after all."

Taiki puts Natsuko down on her feet at the door. He gives her a peck on the cheek. "I'll be back in 10 minutes."

She returns the kiss, then, grinning, heads inside to get changed.

As the Captain's meeting is adjourned, Emet approaches Osamu with a thin piece of paperwork.

"Captain of the 5th Squad, this being approaches you with a humble request."

He presents the paperwork to his fellow Captain before continuing.

"This being's Squad has reported that its current seki-seki quarry is near utter depletion. This being would be most grateful if you could disseminate the messages contained within that paperwork to the listed individuals. They mostly consist of requests for patience regarding the commencement of new constructions until a suitable replacement quarry can be identified."

Her Reiatsu begins to become more apparent, appearing as pink rose petals falling around her. She pulls out two wooden sai that she had been very conveniently carrying around with her. But she actually decides to put them back for now, as she doesn't feel she needs weapons yet, and preffering to stick to Hakuda at the moment.

But she actually decides to put them back for now, as she doesn't feel she needs weapons yet, and preferring to stick to Hakuda at the moment.

Since (by what he would swear to be pure coincidence) Hideuchi is challenged to duels so often, he always has a pair of wooden practice daggers on him, near-perfect replicas of his Zanpakuto. He slides them out of his sleeves and assumes a balanced defensive stance, one that allows easy movement. He steels himself.

"Alright."

(OOC:Sorry for delay! Storms made my power flicker off, and I took it as a Sign to just go to bed. Not sure when the lightning ended, since it was still going when I was asleep. Assume you "travel back in time" to answer these.)
Slightly displaced back in time.

Taiki Takahashi

"Perhaps. But I'm not sure we needed to call a Captain's meeting to discuss my wife's health. If that is the only remaining discussion, perhaps we should end the meeting and simply speak as friends."

"Which reminds me..." Taiki pulls a small stack of papers from inside his haori and hands them to Masaru. "I forgot whether I gave this to you or not. The SPOR, I believe?"

Masaru chuckles and makes a refusing motion as Taiki tries to pass the SPOR at him.

"No Taiki, you've given me everything I needed. That document is for you. Like I told the others, the top is a 5-page summary with several picture diagrams, color and all. The summary has references to all referenced sections, and there's a table of contents. I try to make my reports easily readable."

Osamu

"I have full confidence in Udeyoshi-taichou's capabilities Commander Ryouichi. If there had been complications with Natsuko-taichou's health then I'm certain he would have alerted us before now, as is his duty. As he as not I can only assume she is in good health." the old shinigami says simply enough, his tone much like that of a mentor explaining the interior workings of some subject one too many times. "Just as I have every confidence my sake cabinet shall remain locked."

Isn't protocol valued anymore? These kids...I should more to have protocol reinstated as a course in the Academy...

"There is nothing to resent Masaru-taichou, but an old man like me has seen far too many accidental slip-ups of information to be anything but tight-grasped when it comes to information. My paranioa is my own and 'two people can only keep a secret if one is dead' has been proven far too often for my comfort." he says simply, turning his stern gaze on Masaru but it was more approving then displeased, "And I'll look over your request again but...in the mean time, I would suggest studying those manuals. If nothing else your people will have gotten a head-start on their education because I've been very thorough in my detail."

Masaru frowned again.

"Paranoia indeed. My request was, and is, merely that they come and practice relaying messages with a team. They'll run through various scenarios, such as messaging on the fly, messaging under fire-completely harmless, of course-, and so on. It's my hope that it goes well, so that I can submit my larger request for a Gotei-wide exercise. But I prefer knowing our Shinigami can talk to each other the whole time, first.

We'll go over the manuals, but I again doubt it will help much.

And my Division is already "well-educated"."

His tone suggests he doesn't appreciate the implications of such a statement.

Kyasarin nods and begins to charge at him, ready to make a quick jab with her fingers at his stomach to knock the wind out of him whenever she got close enough. She isn't going full sped at all.

Say what you will about his personality, Hideuchi is very, very good. As Kyasarin charges, he mimics the action, expecting her incoming strike. Since Kyasarin is holding back, he is able to dodge out of the way with an efficient side step. He turns and flips one of his daggers into a reverse grip, and uses his new position to jab the mock weapon at Kyasarin's heart.

Kyasarin smiles and flips one of the wooden sai out very quickly, attempting to block he attack, while the other sai appears in her other hand and is aimed for a thwack on the head.

Also, I realize he's good, but Kyasarin is slowly working her way up in power. If she can defeat him at low power it should teach him a very good lesson.

[Kuroimaken]

When it turns out the two are having a mock duel, Kazuma can't help but smile. He pulls a small white bag from his gi, opens it up, and walks closer while lazily chewing on its contents - candy. He seats himself some fifty feet away or so from the two.

Kyasarin easily knocks the knife out of the way, and Hideuchi is forced to cross his arms over his head to block the sai, which leaves him wide open for a counterattack...

Oh yes, she takes that counter attack and rams her knee into it. (literally, she tries to hit him with her knee.)

With another nod and a slight bow, Masaru stands and quietly walks to the Commander-General's office. Once there, he quietly knocks on the door.

I need to check the Onmitsukidō write up. I don't even know the commanders of Unit's 3&5.

Oh and the captain is back on. This should make things interesting.

So Moon Wolf, feel free to have Yuuki walk by his fighting squad members. Technically Dorizzit isn't on anymore, but the fight was pretty mch going to end soon anyway, so I don't really think it counts as godmodding if Kyasarin gets dragged away by Yuuki.

Yuuki grinned. No problem. And now, the night creature shall be returning to his humble abode. He bowed mockingly and blurred in shunpo, re-appearing at the main hall in the 2nd Division headquarters. Now, where's Kyasa-chan....gotta make sure she's gotten my message. And with that, he strode off, searching for her.

Kyasarin's knee never reaches him. It halts halfway there as her eyes widen in terror. She eeps at the sight of her Captain walking in her general direction. She panics, not only did she just use fighting as a form of punishment, she also hadn't filled out any of the paperwork for both Division 2 and the Onmitsukidōs Unit 2.

Yuuki saw what was....his vice-captain...seemingly beating on an unseated. As a member of the Onmitsukidō, he was a master of torture, both physical and psychological. He smiled and waved at Kyasarin. Hey there! I was afraid you'd be down in the tunnels, making it hard to find you! I'm glad you're up here...so much easier...to pick you out! He called, still smiling in his cat-like way.

Jack is busy as he sits outdoors, writing out a very long equation. He growls to himself as he finishes writing it out and begins working it out by hand.

Computers inside, just for the big, fancy, annoying data storage that could be used to solve this instantly. They spend the money on stuff like a holographic display. What on earth do they need that for?

He finishes up his calculations and stops working for a minute. He had not visited his family back home recently... Maybe he should go if he has some extra time. He stands up and then begins to walk towards the 8th so that he can turn in his calculations.

Oh well. Back to the underground lair. He sighed and shrugged off his black captain's haori, to reveal a loose-fitting sleeveless Onmitsukidō uniform. He slung the haori over his shoulder, and started walking in the direction of the tunnel leading underground. Man, it's way too hot to be wearing this until at least midnight. I don't know how the other captains put up with it. He then thought about it, and answered himself. Oh yeah, because they're used to working in the daytime...
