Once more, Emi nods, though this time she stands and picks up her bag as well.
"I'll be right back."
With that, she swiftly heads off to change, finding the right place to do so and ensuring her privacy.

It doesn't take her too long, and soon she returns in a rather plain white one piece swimsuit- but plain and conservative as it is, it can't manage to be as unassuming as her typical clothing. As such, Emi probably stands out a little more than she would like, especially with the tone of her skin and the shade of her auburn hair

Izumi smiles. "It looks nice.

So, how do you know Kaito?"

[AmberVael]

There's a little bit of red on Emi's cheeks as she gives a subdued response to the compliment.
"Thank you."
But her voice quickly picks up strength as she replies to Izumi's question, as she takes a seat where she was before.
"Oh, my father met his parents through work. Sometimes they have dinners together, and bring us along. Things like that."

"Ah... what does your father do?"

[Valeria's House]

Beck grinned and offered her hand to shake. I'm Beck Williams. I'm one of Izumi-chan's friends. Nice to meet you!

"I see. Nice to meet you, Beck." Valeria smiles, looking to the pool with a hum. "Excuse me..." With that, she departs, grabbing a inflatable beach ball, which she tosses into the pool in front of Kaito, aiming to surprise him.

She then removes the t-shirt she was wearing, and dives in, holding her arms up as she emerges. "Come on!"

Kaito had moved to one side after Ayaka had nearly ran him under. He'd defaulted to lazily floating, not quite on his back. So the ball's impact on the water shocked him a bit.

He blinked the water out of his eyes, then smiled a bit. Picking the ball up out of the water, he eyed Val for a moment...then gave it a good, strong toss at her.

"No fair surprise attacking!"

[AmberVael]

"He's with the police force, but I'm not entirely sure what his job description is. He only got the job recently, when we moved here."
Emi admits. Her eyes drift over to group in the water, watching the various antics there.

[Sucrose]

Donovan makes a really pitiful expression.

"She goes there on her own. Plus it is her sister's car."

And she doesn't work for him.

Should that be mentioned?

Claudia is... nonplussed by this response.

"Um, all right, then... it seems she can tell where the pool is, so go ahead and follow her with the food, I suppose."

She then directs her focus to Nakahiro and Aki. She squints a bit at Aki, and then nods and smiles.

"Daito's granddaughter, and another partygoer? Please, come in! Follow the caterers."

She finally steps outside to meet Rosa, carefully staying out of the way of the leaning tower of doodads.

"Would you like some help with that, miss...?"

Izumi nods. "My dad's the head of the hospital."

She looks at the pool, and chuckles. "Looks like they're having fun."

[Draken]

"Right away Mrs Abel."

Donovan looks back and shouts.

"Eirine, Rosa! Get everything!"

Assuming no one is at the door, Kuroda Ryo will slip past the door and make his way into the pool area. He's wearing a generic band tee, skinny jeans, and a pair of shades. He wasn't exactly sure on the details of the party, so he didn't bring a swimsuit. Not that he had one He more or less just followed Izumi there anyway. Jackpot, he thought, Oh man, look at all these hot girls! No wait, I gotta play it cool if I want- his thoughts were interrupted as he reached into the cooler at the same time as Viatrix and he stared surprised. Tilting his head down so he could see above the shades, he said, "Viatrix-san? What are you doing here? Don't you have a shop to manage?"

[Moon Wolf]

Beck grinned and made speedily for the pool. Cannonball! She yelled joyfully, and did just that, creating a large wave upon entry. She resurfaced, laughing.

Aki

Aki smiled, and bowed politely to Claudia.

"Yes, I am Aki Hisamori. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Abel. Grandpa Daichi sends his compliments, of course."

Aki walked out back. It appeared Valeria had met quite a few people from the school. Aki recognized them, and smiled demurely. She kicked off her sandles and placed her neatly folded towel on a chair, and sat down at the edge of the pool, dangling her feet in.

Ava grinned as Donovan commanded Eirene and Rosa, addind emphasis to his words with gestures, pointing them toward the car, then to the pool. She was helping.

[Valeria's house]

Val hits the ball back with a jump. "Nuh-uh! It wasn't a surprise attack, it was a well-timed assault!", she responds with a laugh.


Vi, who was relaxing up until now, flips her sunglasses down at this, eying Ryo critically. "What business is it of yours what I'm doing? I couldn't pass up a pool party, my hours are whenever I damn well feel like it." With that, she flicks one of her cola caps at Ryo's head... with one hand on her umbrella.

Suffice to say if it hits Ryo it will feel more like a large boulder.

[AmberVael]

Emi gets up out of her chair and moves over towards the edge of the pool.
"I guess we might as well join them."
She seems a little hesitant though.

Val's House

Kaito laughed as well.

"Oh? A well-timed assault? Let's see how that stands up to strategy!"

Kaito pushed off the bottom of the pool, not quite jumping, but definitely gaining height in the water. His fingers landed a fairly solid hit on the ball, sending it arcing well above Val's head for the water behind her.

His aim was such that it should bounce and hit Izumi in the back of the head.

'Wow. Must have hit it harder than I thought...' the boy mused to himself.

[Valeria's House]

The bottle cap snaps his head back, causing his shades to fall off of his nose. Holding his forehead, he yelled back at her, "What the hell was that for?! What kind of a lady hits like that?" His other fist shakes in front of him.

"Right away Mrs Abel."

Donovan looks back and shouts.

"Eirine, Rosa! Get everything!"

By this point, Rosa looks like she has 3/4 of everything held somewhere on her body, perfectly ordered by the grace of God. And yet she still has that ever-present smile, nodding respectfully towards Donovan and saying "Right away sir!" She then goes through the house, being ever-careful to both not spill anything and not knock anything over. When she sets the items down, she gives a light "oof", indicative of the weight of the objects.

Izumi is about to reply... when the ball hits her on the back of the head. "Oh, that's it."

She grabs the ball, and chucks it at Kaito, before looking at Emi. "Want to help me get revenge?"

[Valeria's House]

Val jumps to try and hit it, but fails. Then blushes in shock at Izumi. "S-sorry..."

[Pool-Party]

"The kind of lady who doesn't suffer fools like you." Vi flips her sunglasses back up, picking up a magazine from her bag and pointedly ignoring Ryo.

Izumi is about to reply... when the ball hits her on the back of the head. "Oh, that's it."

She grabs the ball, and chucks it at Kaito, before looking at Emi. "Want to help me get revenge?"

[Val's House]

There's a nervous edge to Kaito's smile as he just barely catches the ball.

"Now now, ladies. It's just a beach ball, after all. A little air, plastic, and water. No harm no foul, right? Let's not be hasty..."

He does, however, start backing up slowly.

[Moon Wolf]

Beck's head popped up in the middle of the group from underwater. Yeah, really, beach balls don't hurt at all...she grinned evilly. I'm a volleyball player, by the way.

Aki

Aki is sitting behind Kaito, and she gives him her best evil eye.

"If you plan on kicking and splashing, I'd request you do it elsewhere."

[AmberVael]

Emi gives a cute little grin and slips into the water, waiting for Val or Izumi to take the initiative, while moving to block Kaito from escaping them.
"What are you worried about, Kaito?"

Izumi also slips into the water, smirking at Kaito.

[Val's House]

Kaito's eyes darted around. He was quickly being surrounded.

"Heh. Uh. Well, you see...Oh dear."

Suddenly, he tosses the ball....straight into the air.

In the (hopefully) moment of distraction, he crouches down into the water and kicks off the side of the pool through one of the two openings in the slowly-closing knot of girls.

Truly, the line between "fantasy" and "nightmare" was a razor-thin one.

[Val's House]

Still simmering, Ryo picked up his shades and placed them on his nose. Then, trying to regain his composure, he grabbed up his drink and then turned, away. He walked away muttering loud enough for Vi to hear, "That's no lady. That's a crazy old hag."

[Moon Wolf]

Beck leaped out of the water, spiking the ball straight for Kaito's back. Swim away!!! She yelled joyously.

[Tackyhillbillu]

Kaito wasn't there anymore, of course, being beneath the water. However Aki was. The girl didn't bat an eye, knocking the speeding ball away with a swift chop, sending it flying at where she guessed Kaito was going to surface. And then she went right back to swirling her toes in the water, and smiling elegantly.

Beck gave a pouty look, for show, of course. No...fair! Won't you let me take one good spike at him, pleeease? She said, winking at Aki.
