After everything is set, Donovan takes a platter and brings it outside to the pool area, where he sets it on a table and leans on a wall to see if someone asks for something.

And he is, in fact, wearing his usual checkered coat and a full garb.

Aki's aim was true. Just as Kaito surfaced, the ball bounced off his head.

He flinched, but it didn't really hurt or anything.

He turned to face the pack of girls.

"Heh. Um...Call it even?"

He nervously scratched the back of his head.

Izumi looks at the other girls. "Hmmm... I dunno... what do you think?"

Val laughs a bit. "Come on, now..." She picks up the ball next, hitting it upward to continue the game.


Viatrix ignores Ryo, flipping through her magazine boredly.

Thank you! Beck jumped up again, volleying the ball towards Izumi. Izumi-chan, get in a good hit for me!

Izumi laughs, and whacks it towards Kaito.

Kaito smiles and hits it towards Emi.

Emi instinctively ducks, letting the ball pass over her head, but quickly retrieves it and tosses it towards Valeria, hoping she'll take the opportunity to catch someone (presumably Kaito) off-guard with it.

Pool Party

Eirene is wearing a pink tank-top and a black sarong over her bathing suit. Sunglases are pushed up to her forehead, and she is wearing a flower in her hair in lieu of the usual hairclip. She is helping set everything up food-wise, humming as she goes about her work. Eirene arranges glasses on a table and fills them all with cola (the non-reishi kind of course) and puts down a bowl of chips.

Val hits the ball towards Kaito, indeed. Certainly seems like she's having a good time.


Vi looks up at the bowl of chips over her magazine. ...If only I could get at those without having to get up... that'd be the life.

Kaito hits the ball to land somewhere between Izumi and Val. He also seems to be enjoying himself.

Rosa does various things to set up everything with crystal clear precision. When she is done, she heads outside towards Donovan. When she reaches Donovan, she turns towards him. "What should I do next?"

"Go see if anyone wants anything, be ready to serve, other than that, I guess you can enjoy the party yourself."

Donovan pulls a string and entertains himself making forms with it between his fingers.

"Yes sir!" She moves towards the group if there isn't anybody who is not in the game, waiting for an opportunity when it isn't too akward. That and when it provides the least chance of being smacked upside the head with a beachball. When she does get an opportunity, she asks anyone who is free if they are enjoying themselves so far and if there is anything she can get for them.

If it ends up taking too long to find an opportunity, she looks around to see if there is anything else she could do in the meantime.

Nakahiro, at this point, has taken a cross legged seat near the edge of the pool, although not in range of any water that spills over the sides. His umbrella is laying on the ground to one side. He folds his arms and smirks at the various antics going on within the pool.

Streets of Pheonix Town, Police Station

Leaving the hospital, Henry drives back over to the police station and heads into his office, sitting at the desk and trying to get his thoughts in order. What he really needed right now was time to think. Unfortunately, Henry didn't know how much of that he had. Oh, well. Better get started while he could...
((That's pretty much it for Henry until the actual plot starts))

Nakahiro, at this point, has taken a cross legged seat near the edge of the pool, although not in range of any water that spills over the sides. His umbrella is laying on the ground to one side. He folds his arms and smirks at the various antics going on within the pool.

Noticing that Nakahiro was away from the commotion, Rosa walks up to him. After a moment, she reaches him. "Hello! Are you enjoying everything so far?" After she gets a response she asks, "Can I get you anything?"

The game continues, and as it does, Kaito seems to relax, smiling, laughing, and chatting.

He's having a good time; the casual atmosphere of the whole thing seems to really help.

Of course, he's now lowered his guard in case one of the girls tries to catch him by surprise in an act of "revenge".

Viatrix sighs, putting her magazine down and heading for the chip bowl.

Pool Party

Eirene has an idea. A wonderful idea. A terrible idea. A terribly wonderful idea. In an instant she throws her tank-top and sarong in the air, revealing that she is wearing a black bikini. She starts walking towards the chip-bowl, picking up speed.

"Heads up little sis!" She yells, giving little time for Viatrix to react as she ran up and put her arms around her sister, bringing them both into the pool.

Viatrix manages to get one thing out before Eirene tackles her into the pool. "Gu-wha!?"

Val stops the game for a moment, blinking at the yell and big splash. "...huh?"

Ava giggled. It had only been a matter of time... she supposed. She tried to prevent Vi from seeing however.

Aki got splashed, looking over at the two with some annoyance.

"Aren't you the catering staff?"

She sighed, slipping into the pool, since she was wet already.

Rosa snapped to attention at the yell, turning robotic for a second. She actually ran towards the pool, looking for what was wrong. "Is everything all right?!"

A few seconds later Eirene surfaces with a grin. She looks at Rosa. "Of course, everything's wonderful." She says, shaking her head and sending water all over the place in the process. She then turns her head to Aki. "We're working in shifts. Two of us on the the job at any given time." She says, gesturing with her head towards Rosa and Donovan. They'll find that they have never had this agreement before, but it was probably best to just roll with it.

Izumi chuckles at the antics of Eirine.

Ayaka does not. She was turning to talk to Izumi as the wave came in. She had her mouth open.

"What the hell are you doing? You could have drowned someone!"

Still simmering, Ryo picked up his shades and placed them on his nose. Then, trying to regain his composure, he grabbed up his drink and then turned, away. He walked away muttering loud enough for Vi to hear, "That's no lady. That's a crazy old hag."

A shadow looms over the young delinquent. Should he turn, he'll see Claudia Abel, hands on her hips. A shocked, indignant look is on her face.

"Well, that's no way to speak of a friend, young man."

Rosa's face became somewhat miffed, that is in comparison to how she normally looks. This gives her a look like that of a mother discouraging a child from doing wrong, although not in a demeaning way. She gives a look towards Ayaka, before returning her look towards Eirine. "She is right, Eirine-san. Although I have to admit the prank was entertaining, it could have hurt someone. It may be a good idea to be more careful next time." She then stood up and looked towards everyone, her face back to her normal self. "I suppose as long I have everyone's attention, is there anything I can get for any of you?"

(OOC: I hope I got the honorific "san" right. Did I do everything right so far?)
