Aki got out of the pool eventually, tiring of just swimming around. She came over and sat down near Emi, turning to smile at her.

"I don't believe I've had the pleasure of being introduced to you. I'm Aki Hisamori."

[Val's House]

Emi smiled back, glad that she could talk to someone.
"I'm Emily Martin- I just go by Emi though."
After a pause, she wonders if she should have said "hi" or "it's a pleasure to meet you," somewhere in there. Oh well, too late now.
"Did Kaito invite you?"
She asks a little curiously.

Rosa has a face of realization when Donovan tells her what happened, nodding in understanding. She hears an odd rumbling, but whether or not the rumblings are words escaped her. Besides, there were more pressing matters, like why Ayaka was holding her head in pain after she drank what was supposedly cola. She decided to ask the question later. She moves to set the tray on a flat surface. "Do you want me to get anything to help her?"

(OOC: So, what is the deal with Jammerlich's mouth? Is it an odd case where someone "aware" would notice the nature of the doll, in exception to usual circumstances?)

The Hide-Out

Ichi will hear the sound of someone whistling, the sound getting louder and louder. The whistler in question doesn't seem to be too good at it, but that is hardly a concern right now for the boy. A low grumble can be heard.

"Stupid Michiko going and getting herself grounded like that. I had to bike for half an hour to get here."

Ichi tenses, the haft of his weapon in his hand and held at the ready.

"S-Shut up Nezumi...j-just go to bed."

He slowly creeps up near he door, waiting to ambush who ever is approching.

Nezumi lays his head down on the mattress, using his backpack as a pillow, though he shifts slightly so that he can continue to watch Ichi curiously despite the order to sleep. He tenses slightly as he hears the whistling, though remains quiet, one hand sliding underneath his head to slowly unzip the back pack.

[Shades of Gray]

A young man, seeming no older than 17 or so is walking through the halls with a flashlight in hand. He is wearing an open school uniform which has its sleeves torn off over a white t-shirt. He has a flashlight strapped to his belt, as well as what appears to be a sword. Not a large one, perhaps a wakizashi or ninjato.

He doesn't seem to be paying much attention to anything; he just continues to whistle as he approaches the door...

Ichi waits until he can see the boy stepping through the door before whirling the haft in his hands, aiming its tip into the unfortunate adolescent's stomach.

Kaito laughs.

"Snazzy."

Nakahiro shuts the umbrella gracefully and tucks it under one arm.

"I also don't like water."

Val blinks at the commotion, seeming a bit offset. "What's going on? Is everyone all right?"


Viatrix blinks and stares a bit, looking a bit guilty at the results. ...I didn't mean to do that...

Emi smiled back, glad that she could talk to someone.

She calls out "Mrs. Abel?"

Claudia turns her head at the call, and notices the unfortunate injured girl. Her eyes widen fractionally, and she kips up to rush over to Ayaka, her cross pendant jangling slightly at the motion.

"What happened, dear? Come on, we have some good cleaning supplies... I'm sure we can take care of this... we can do something about your head, too..."

She attempts to hurry Ayaka into the house.

Aki shook her head at Emi's question.

"No. My Grandfather lives next to our hostess. When he came over to introduce himself Mrs. Abel invited me to the party. Kaito and I do go to the same school, but I am not acquainted with him all that well."

Emi nods in understanding.
"Kaito invited me- he's the only person I know here."
She explains, as she finally notes the situation going on over by Ayaka. She couldn't quite tell what was going on, but everyone else seemed to have it in hand... she thinks.
She turns her attention back to Aki.
"I only moved here recently."

Emi nods in understanding.
"Kaito invited me- he's the only person I know here."
She explains, as she finally notes the situation going on over by Ayaka. She couldn't quite tell what was going on, but everyone else seemed to have it in hand... she thinks.
She turns her attention back to Aki.
"I only moved here recently."

Aki had paid scant attention to the events surrounding Ayaka, missing entirely the fact that a tie was talking. This was probably for the best.

"Where did you move from Martin-San? Of course, if that is prying, please just tell me so. I don't want to intrude on your privacy."

Emi, fortunately for her, is not nearly aware enough to notice the tie's strangeness.
"No, it's okay. I lived in America- but my dad has family here, and got a good job offer... so he moved here, and I came with him."
She seems a bit awkward speaking about it, despite the fact that she said it was okay. Perhaps there was a bit more to it than what she was saying.

Nakahiro shuts the umbrella gracefully and tucks it under one arm.

"I also don't like water."

Kaito nodded, though he seemed to be splitting his attention between Nakahiro, and the proceedings with Ayaka.

"Fair enough, fair enough. I'm glad you like it enough to bathe regularly, at least."

He looks at his friend from the corner of his eye, a smirk on his face.

The adolescent in question is just turning the corner, and his eyes go wide.

The young man speaks up. "Hey, who the f-HURK." He manages to get that far before he is hit in the stomach, doubling over in pain and clutching his abdomen. "Geh?" He whimpers, coughing.

Ichi twirls the staff, sneering at the other boy before striking him roughly in the head with the butt of his weapon. He turns to look at Nezumi, giving him a thumbs up.

Nezumi yelps a little as the other youth steps into the room and promptly gets smacked by Ichi's staff. He sits up abruptly, pulling a book out of his bag and hugging it against his chest. He stares somewhat bewildered at Ichi, not seeming particularly reassured by the thumbs up.

"W-Who is that...?" he murmurs as he stands, creeping over nervously to peer at the unfortunate 'intruder'.

"Second."
Answers Emi easily, before she pauses, then bites her lip.
"Actually... first. I think."
She looks a bit embarrassed.
"I'm in the same year as Kaito- but I'm not really sure which that is."

"Viatrix's stash is for her personal use, let's get that out of your system before you start seeing things."

Like the frowning mouth in Donovan's tie.

"You... don't tell me those were drugged. Please don't."

Izumi nods, and heads over to Donovan. "Why the hell is there a mouth in your tie? And what do you mean, she'll start seeing things?"

Claudia takes Ayaka into an upstairs bathroom, where she opens a drawer to reveal a first-aid kit.

"Wash off the back of your head in the shower, hon, then we'll get you bandaged up. We can deal with your swimsuit after that. ...What startled you so badly, anyway? It wasn't our punch server, was it?"

Donovan is startled by Izumi's question, and stutters as he regains his composure.

"Eeeeehhh... Talk to you inside.""

Donovan hurries on after Ayaka, beckoning Viatrix to follow.

"At least I can speak Japanese, right? And my dad can help me- this is his hometown, after all."
