Nakahiro leans forward, and his chair loudly falls back onto four legs. He gently places his umbrella on top of his desk, then leans forward.

"I can understand."

Kaito rolls his eyes.

"Yes, I'm sure, Yoko."

He rubs the bridge of his nose.

"Suddenly I wish it was summer again."

"Hmm. Me too, then maybe I could sleep in peace. That was even ruder, Kaito-san." She says without turning to look at him.

Kaito gave a long-suffering sigh.

He then dug out one of his books from his bookbag, and took to thoroughly ignoring Yoko.

Valeria eyes Yoko... something about her made the girl uneasy.


The door slides open around 10 minutes to the bell... and in steps Hibiki. Sparing himself any questions for now, he moves to the desk, setting his briefcase and lunch down, and generally going about basic business without a word, with an absentminded look on his face.

After a few minutes, he stops, standing on the chair behind his desk and analyzing the class in front of him. Hm. A few mediums. Surprising. Naturally, however, no one should be able to sense anything from him.

Nakahiro observes Hibiki astutely as he enters the class room, trying to soak in as much information about the new teacher as possible. This goes on for as long as Hibiki remains silent, unless Nakahiro is interrupted. Without thinking about it, he hangs his umbrella off of one side of his desk.

Hm. A short guy. Surprising.

Kaito looks up to note Hibiki's entrance. When the teacher seems to be busying himself with his own preparations, Kaito returns to his book, keeping alert for the moment when the new teacher will call for attention.

Of course, it took a full 90 seconds for Kaito to process what he'd seen. When it sank in, his eyes noticeably widened, and he slowly looked up to re-examine Hibki.

'That's...he really looks like he should be a couple grades below me. Is he actually old enough to teach this class?"

Kaito's right eyebrow was in danger of merging with his hairline.

Aki entered into the Classroom. She was late, but didn't worry about it. She had a note from the Teacher in Charge of the Tea Ceremony Club. A dozing old man, he given it to her one day. No one seemed to notice that note's date kept changing, whenever she was late. She entered the classroom, looking for the teacher.

"Apologies, Sensei. My club..."

She looked about, realizing that there wasn't a teacher in the room. She then looked down at the fellow in front of the class.

"...excuse me, are you in the right class?"

Valeria stares in confusion.


Hibiki eyes Aki with his heterochromial eyes. "As a matter of fact, yes, I am." With that, he turns to the class in whole. "And yes, I am your homeroom teacher. My name his Hamasaki Hibiki. I am also a History teacher, and will be in charge of the Swimming club. If you have a question about my height or apparent age, I would vastly prefer if you kept it to yourself." For a second, he pauses.

"Please, if you have a question, though, feel free to ask."

Kaito raises his hand.

When acknowledged, he will speak with a polite and formal tone.

"Generally speaking, how old are you? Do you have a particular focus in History, or are you more of a generalist? Where did you attend for your degree? Are there any particular rules you believe we should be aware of?"

Reene ponders for a moment.

"Ah, yes, I did see your messages, my apologies for not answering, I... Focused on one problem that you indicated and that had been shown before, and focused on solving it."

She points at a nearby map of the schoolgrounds with one finger.

"As for the protocol... You are already in the rooster, the papers you will need can be found in your locker in the teacher's room... And you have been assigned as homeroom teacher to one of the classes... I forgot which one. Well, it should be on the material assigned to you."

"Anything else mister Stein?"

[School, Principal's Office]

"Not that I can think of. Thank you Lucaster-sama."

He nods his head before checking the map for a second and heading to the teacher room. Once there, he gathers the material from the locker and assimilates that which needs to be assimilated, and placing required papers into his bag.

"Class 2-3, it seems."

A grin crosses his face and he makes his way speedily towards the appropriate classroom.

Sören slams open the door, entering the room slowly and precisely. He dumps his bag on the desk at the front of the class and begins removing essentials from it, looking over the room as he does so. Only one student so far. He looked over Beck for a moment before speaking.

"Well, hello. Forgive me, but I'll save my introduction for when more of the class arrive."

Sora blushes again as everyone starts talking to him. He's not used to being talked to.

After all, he is the one who talks to himself at lunch.

And doodles in the margins of essays.

In reflection, his only actual 'friend' is Izumi.

He sighs as he stares out the window, rather bored. He didn't really mind the younger teacher, he just wished that there was something to do to pass the time that didn't attract attention.

Michiko

There's another person entering not long after Soren, Michiko blinking in surprise at the two who had arrived before her. Still, she remains quiet and moves to set her bag beside the desk she hopes to be placed at and observes the two quietly.

Beck seems the same as always, but I don't recognize the teacher. He doesn't even look Japanese. I suppose Lucaster-san would tend to hire a more diverse staff.

Despite her mental observation, she remains silent, checking her watch silently.

"Hmm...more people should be here by now." She mutters to herself, glancing at Beck and Soren once more.

Sören looks up from the papers he's perusing as Michiko enters.

"Ah, hello, hello. I'll do my introduction when some more people show up."

He returns to the papers for a moment before suddenly sighing and doing a heel face turn towards the blackboards behind the desk.

"Though given that you girls are the only two that deigned to show up at a reasonable time, I'd hazard a guess that you might be the only people worth treating with respect in this class..."

He sighs again and scrawls his name on the board in the Roman alphabet with a rough katakana equivalent underneath it to help the students wrap their tongues around it.

"I imagine you'll find this helpful, and you'll see why when more of this obviously delinquent class ACTUALLY BOTHER TURNING UP."

The chalk he had been writing on the board with it reduced to a fine dust as his voice rises in irritation.

"But on a more pleasant note," he says, turning back to face Michiko and Beck (accompanied with a slew of bishie sparkles) "Now that I have indirectly introduced myself via the board, would you girls kindly reciprocate the favour?"

Yuudai casually strolls into room 2-3, arms behind his head as she looks blankly from Beck to Michiko, and then to the teacher. He squints as he examines the blackboard. Sore N. Stein? What an unfortunate name. He quietly takes a seat on one of the desks as he looks at the quite... animated teacher. He looks around the classroom for any more students. "Damn, was trying to be fashionably late." He thinks to himself.

Beck sighed. Good, that means there's at least one fellow non-Japanese person in here. I'm Rebecca Williams, but please call me Beck. Nice to meet you, Mr. Stein. She said, giving Soren a slight nod of acknoledgement. By the way...she said, now directing her voice to Michiko, nice to see you've still got your hair dyed. She grinned, ruffling her hands through her own neon locks.

"Sorrysorrysorry."
The door of the classroom jerks open and Ayaka steps in with a bag over her shoulder. A few tufts of hair stick up from her head.

"Urgh, I'm sorry sensei, my dad's away and I overslept and I couldn't find any of my things and-" she pauses to catch her breath.

Sora begins to draw something on another page.

It looks like a drawing of Kaito being swallowed by his shadow, yelling "PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!"

He laughs softly, hoping nobody else hears him, making sure he's not drawing loudly.

"Ha. Take that Kaito."

Kaito raises his hand.

When acknowledged, he will speak with a polite and formal tone.

"Generally speaking, how old are you? Do you have a particular focus in History, or are you more of a generalist? Where did you attend for your degree? Are there any particular rules you believe we should be aware of?"

Hibiki eyes Kaito.

"Irrelevant. I have a general knowledge of history, of both Japan and the world as a whole. I went to Todai for my degree; I will assume most of you are savvy enough with those handheld devices of yours to confirm my status as an alumni, if you are so keen to find out." He is! "The first rule of my class; do not speak of my class. The second rule of my class; do not speak of my class. ...The third, do not ask of my height or age."

...His tone is completely deadpan.


Valeria is somewhat dumbfounded.

Nakahiro is now smiling widely. He's straightened out in his seat, and is watching Hibiki silently.

This will be interesting.

Sora raises an eyebrow.

"...Did he just quote Fight Club? What's up with this guy?"

Sora goes back to his drawing, slighty grinning as he finishes it, then flips the page and begins to draw something completely unrelated.

Totally not proving Kaito's point about his questionable sanity.

Kaito blinks.

"Are...we not allowed to speak of this class outside of this class? Or even inside of it?"

He seems genuinely confused.

Like he hasn't seen the movie Hibiki is mangling a quote from.

"...I may need to work on my delivery." Hibiki ignores Kaito's comment. With that, he turns back to Aki. "...So, can I help you?"

Kaito sits there, still looking rather confused.

Sora grins, makes a paper airplane with the phrase "It's from a movie.", and tosses it at Kaito.

"Yep. I'm totally not crazy."

Aki was busy trying to... process this unprecendented information, and was quite unaware that she was still standing in front of the class.

"OH! Apologies Sensei. I have a note to excuse my Tardiness."

Aki's voice still sounded distracted, but she handed over the note, blushing slightly in embarassment.

Sora looks up, and notices Aki, and waves to say hello.

Sora grins, makes a paper airplane with the phrase "It's from a movie.", and tosses it at Kaito.

"Yep. I'm totally not crazy."

[School - Classroom 1-2]

Kaito sees the paper airplane land on his desk.

He proceeds to crumple it up without looking, and shove it in his desk.

He still looks a touch confused, but also seems to be just "rolling with it" in regards to their teacher.

Hibiki shrugs. "Just don't let it happen again." With that, he turns back to the class... and pulls out a squirt gun in the blink of an eye, squirting Sora square in the forehead.

"Notes and paper airplanes aren't going to be tolerated, either. Onto roll call, then." He pulls up the list. "Abel, Valeria."


Val snaps out of her daze. "Hai!"


"Akiyama Goro..." Hibiki continues to go through names. "Go Ken... Hayashi Izumi... Hisamori Aki... <last name> Takara... <last name> Erima... Wada Nakahiro... Watanabe Kaito..."

((After Akiyama Goro, who is a made-up name NPC, I am just skipping all the filler names to the PCs. ))

'Serves his crazy self right.' Kaito thinks to himself.

When his name is called, he lifts his right hand a bit into the air.

"Present."

Aki gave Sora a polite nod, with nothing else. Aki went back, finding herself a seat, and sitting down, looking forward. She raised an eyebrow at the teacher using a Water Pistol to shoot Sora. Not very professional. But role call reasserted normality.
