"Melody" charges "Reinholdt", switching into her combat form with armoured skin and blade arms and tries to do the old stab/shapeshift/asplode trick.

DC, of course, was expecting some response after that, going into evasive maneuvers as he sees the mechaguards moving to counterattack. This also includes ceasing fire with the gun-wouldn't want to hit 'Melody' or Wenomir by mistake.

After evading, though, DC turns the assault gun on the guard moving for the ship, while the one moving for the Admiral may find itself the target of another telekinetic yank, aiming to cause him to fall forward, onto his face. DC doesn't exactly want it helping 'Reinholdt'.

The Admiral leaps back, turning a bit pink and floating upwards, getting cut along the front, but barely avoiding getting sucked into the apsloding shapeshifter trick. "Women." He continues floating backwards to put distance between himself and Happy.

Guard 2 continues to advance on Wenomir, this time with a punch of lightning.

Guard 5 has picked itself up and is now charging Happy intending for an all out body slam.

Guard 3 gets mightily blasted. That's what he gets for separating from the group.

Guard 4 stumbles to his knees, but was a bit more prepared and takes a shot at DC from that position to try to drive him off.

Wenomir makes a jab with his sword, attempting to impale the guard's hand on it, hoping the sword's strong magic will allow to accomplish this otherwise impossible feat.

DC continues being an annoying dodgy target, going into evasive maneuvers again when it so much as looks like the guard's going to fire at him.

But the guard can rest easy, as it has been released from DC's telekinetic grip and isn't being shot at. Oh no, it is time to turn on the real target.

The ambush party will likely hear a voice in their heads: Keep them off me!

After evading, DC's telekinesis and assault gun are both turned on the Admiral, aiming to keep him locked in place as the gun keeps firing...and firing...and firing...

Until DC sees someone aiming to take a shot at him again.

Happy takes to the air, causing Guard 5 to miss, and puts herself between the guards and DC, taking the unidentified shot which causes <insert effects here once Rein explains what sort of weapon Guard 5 is using> electrical damage.

The shots are all electricity bursts. Like putting your hand in an electrical outlet.

Guard 2's hand gets impaled by Wenomir's sword and there's an obvious electrical issue as sparks start to fly across the suit. All that energy was supposed to leave by the hand and now it's shorting out the mecha-zombie-soldier. Granted, there may be some residual shockage to Wenomir too, but without its systems, zombie-soldier won't be able to move the heavy suit and is essentially incapacitated.

Guard 4 shoots at DC and Guard 5 swivels to shoot at Happy. Seeing as how Happy is now between DC and Guard 4, it mostly means both are shooting at her, especially if she stays there to take it for him.

The Admiral doesn't seem horribly slowed by the telekinesis, but those shots are really annoying him, especially when one hits a leg and burns the flesh right off, leaving just the charred skeletal bone of an undead underneath.

"OWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!"
The Admiral raises hand and mutters something. "You can't defeat me! Not while I have this on my side!"
A loud rumbling can be heard from behind DC and Happy, obviously creating some sort of flanking situation.
*RUMBLE RUMBLE*

Wenomir is mildly shocked, but not enough to slow him down very much. He attempts to cut the guard's head off and, regardless of whether or not it works, he moves to engage Guard 4, ducking under the shots if necessary, saving his belt's missile-slowing power for later.

Happy makes a very good meatshield. And since she's facing away from DC so she can cover him, the rumbling can't be coming from behind her and DC both, unless it's in a spot in mid-air between them. And that would be silly.

DC continues his attack on the Admiral, his weapon continuing to blaze away endlessly. Even as he, physically, turns to look in the direction of the rumbling, the gun continuing to aim at the Admiral regardless.

Guard 2 is now incapacitated and decapitated. Good for him.

Guard 4 soon follows suit as Wenomir deals with him on a more permanent basis. Wenomir has no trouble dodging 4's shots since they weren't aimed at him anyways.

Guard 5 continues to shoot electricity at DC, but it seems Happy is soaking it all up. Silly Happy.

You'd think a rumble spell like that would be a better distraction, since as soon as DC turns his head, Reinholdt turns to try and fly away. Only to get blasted by those shots in the back and fall to the ground a smoking skeletal corpse. Aiming while your head is turned is cheating.

DC is well-known for cheating in the department of 'seeing things when you really shouldn't be able to', is he not?

Ah well.

DC turns the assault gun on the last of the mechaguards, seeing 'Reinholdt' fall. He doesn't want Happy getting hit too much, after all.

Too bad she'll get smacked by continuity after this.

Once the last guard is killed, Happy lands clumsily, rather charred and damaged.

All in a day's work for the party meatshield.

The last guard is indeed killed.
As the skeleton rolls over and tosses the ebony knife at Happy. Fortunately for Happy, he's not really a great knife thrower. Unfortunately he doesn't have to do much physical damage to do a lot of soul damage and the knife cuts through most objects.

"You people are really pissing me off. I haven't been this mad since my sword was stolen."

DC descends a bit, and sends a kinetic blast the flying dagger's way, aiming to blast it off course (since Happy's probably not in any condition to dodge and continuity dictates that she last past this encounter, I believe). "Oh, I know who you are..."

It might suddenly occur to the Admiral that DC looks awfully similar to a certain sword thief.

It might also suddenly occur to him that he is getting shot at again.

Only if DC decloaked. The cloaking was the whole reason he hadn't recognized him as well as why he didn't throw it at DC, even with flickering when shots went off. So no, I don't think he recognizes DC at all.

He does however, recognize getting finished off as it occurs to him painfully in the face right about now.

Anyways the dagger is knocked off course and falls somewhere where it gleams in the ________ (sunlight, moonlight, starlight).

And that's that.

Oh and you have a flying airship the size of a Semi-truck.

And...DC being DC, he's probably going to be checking out the airship.

Oh, and put that dagger in the same storage-orb-thing as the Admiral's old sword. Without actually touching it, of course. The sword's filled with negative energy, and it's the same guy...

And DC is known for paranoia.

So he'll just check out the airship 'n such while Happy and Mort are deadtimed. Whee.

This is shown to answer who are, with the center filled in, and a general sense of 'friend' and Seren's face, smiling, because they think he looks most familiar. Vaguely.
For the next question, 'help' and the person whose mind is being reached, combined. Hopefully she'll get the idea.

You know how it feels when your leg falls asleep?
Imagine being kept in one position for centuries, and it's not just your leg, it's your whole body.

Whole body being numb isn't so bad. Just disturbing and annoying.
'Calm' 'Wait', and similar ideas are sent towards the revived one.

Val grins, then, noticing the Lieutenant reviving, steps over, glad she's wearing her Captain's uniform.
Rank insignia are remarkably similar across the Multiverse, oddly enough...
said Lieutenant blinks, winces, tries to be calm and relax...then, spotting Val, tries to salute.
