Garth does a dodge roll just in time. This of course makes him look away from the battle and possibly miss some things happening. It also takes him a bit more time to get up because he dive rolled right into a bush.

He does get up though and he does glare at the sisters. " Stop fighting! Isn't there enough death without you two adding onto it! "

Look moderately evil, don't let anyone recognize you as a GLoG member, and yeah, you're in, even if you're totally incompetent and/or annoying. And I honestly don't know anything else about the shadows.

"I think he's just jealous that nobody's fighting him," says one of the women.
The other responds by saying, "Should we ask him if he wants to join?"
"Naw. If a dragon wants to join, he'll just do so."

It was loud enough for him to hear all of that.

The spear grazes the shoulder of Ariana, and the sword cuts into the thigh of Ishtaroth.

They both seem to be tiring, but continue leaping from flying boulder to flying boulder, rising higher and higher as they continue to fight.

Then! Ariana trips, and falls to the ground, flat on her back and her arms splayed out.

Infirmary

"Oh. That's good." The foxgirl smiles back, under the bed still (I think.)

((I still need reasons for them to go...unless I should just have them deadtime without any reasons? Maybe they'll stay around GLoG as NPCs, but, giving into their fox nature ('cause they are), they'll spend most of their time in the forests, running around and hunting birds, or something.))

Jamie gives her sister's hand a squeeze. "I think it's safe to come out now?"

Mountainside fight

((Okay, was able to get a bit more time but have to be quick.))

Garth sees that Ariana falls to the ground. He quickly gets out his sword and looks for Ishtaroth. He's pretty sure he knows where she's going to be. Coming down to finish the fight.

So, Garth does what Garth does. He runs out to either A. Pull Ariana out of the way of the attack. B.Block the attack with his sword C.Tackle the attacker out of the air. Depends on the timing of the attack and how much time he has.

Infirmary

"Probably. All the bad-guys are gone, right?"
Sinopa peeks out from under the bed, and then crawls out.

Meanwhile, Tokala, done with swimming, and oblivious to the kidnapping, walks into the Infirmary using the front doors.

Mountainside

As Ape of Light is deadtimed, and I was going to do this this post anyway, then this happens.

Ishtaroth dives down from the floating boulders, towards her sister, who is helpless (?) on the ground. Her spear is pointing down, aiming at the heart (which, for them, is located in the lower belly region.)

Ishtaroth makes a battlecry, and the spear hits its target. "Gotcha. I win." She has a smile across her face.

Her sister, bleeding to death, repricates that smile. Between deep breaths, she responds, "Think again." They both look down where the spear hit. The tunic'd woman has an icicle in her hand, stabbing Ishtaroth in the same spot.

Ishtaroth lets go of the spear, and rolls next to her sister. "Good game. Best two out of three?"

As the two fae 'die', they, and their tiger, all explode in a bunch of bubbly hearts (Not real ones; the Valentines Day ones). All the shooting rocks fall to the ground. They are gone, to be reborn on another part of the forest.

He came back.
Fortunately, there was a spare tiger, so the spare tiger (and the flying rocks) managed to keep him away from them long enough, so that he reaches them just after they have stabbed each other in the lower stomach reigon.

Garth was too late! And he was caught in the flurry of hearts. " What the... " He blinks and sighs. " Well seems like I wasn't able to stop them... don't know if they actually killed each other or... " He sighs again and sits down.

Depending on how long the hearts stay he'll watch them or the sky as he starts to slip off into deadtime again.

"Yeah...."
And Jamie tries to hug her sister again, tightly.
"I'm just glad you're safe," she says, feeling a little guilty and worrying about Abigail.

And Quinn, spotting Tokala, hurries over to hug hum as well!

"Hi, Mom," says Tokala, calling Quinn "Mom", as he's hugged. "Hugs are for girls."


"Daddy, and Abigail's daddy, and all the other daddies will make sure it doesn't happen, I think. I'm glad that you're safe." Though, the reason Sinopa's safe is because of player deadtime and the interest of moving plots. I think that's pretty much the only reason.

Mountainside

The bubbly hearts float up and away into the sunset. They don't pop.

It looks like a beautiful sight, though, because of the way they reflect the light.

Lakeside

Helen, having finished rereading a demonic letter, stands up, and walks towards the Main Lodge. Probably to say "Goodbye", or something, because I've been setting up this thing since before GLoG was destroyed by the catpeople army.

Quinn blushes, and smiles, as she's called, 'mom'.
"Well, I'm a girl. And I'm glad you're safe." She smiles. "I was worried."
She quickly explains what happened!

Jamie nods in agreement with Sinopa. "Yeah, they will. And thanks. We have to look out for each other, right?"




Alex is tending the garden outside the front of the main lodge.

"I was only swimming..." he mumbled, before it got explained to him.

Then, after the explanation, his eyes have gone wide. "What? Are they going to go rescue Abigail? We have to!"


"Yup." Nodding occurs, too.

In front of the Main Lodge, near the blue parasitic bloodthirsty rosebush that has choked out another rosebush and taken its place

Helen, who looks human, stops in front of Alex. "Umm...Hi. I was wondering who I would talk to if I need to leave GLoG for family reasons?"

((Actually, it wasn't so weird as that. I was setting up a large plot which would have taken place a month or two ago, which would have included invading the underworld/abyss, the part where Helen's mother is the Demon Lord over it, and would include fights against demons, corrupt paladins, and a dragon or two. But Real Life got in the way, and forced me to delay it until it was no longer possible.))

"We are, don't worry," Quinn promises. "We're planning that now. We'll get her back and make sure nobody gets to hurt her ever again."


Jamie heads over to one of the infirmary beds, stretching out, and yawning. 'M tired..."





Alex is giving the blue parasitic bloodthirsty rosebush the evil eye, and contemplating a pair of clippers, a hedgesaw, and Agent Orange, before straightening up as he sees Helen approaching.
"Good evening, ma'am. You'd want to talk to Happy, Daisuke or Quinn, but I can pass on a message if you're short on time."

Garden

Despite being a parasitic blue rose whose favorite food is sanguine liquids, it's actually very beautiful.

"I have a while," says Helen, shrugging her shouders. "But I don't know where they are, so...yeah. I don't know where they are."

She doesn't think to check in the Infirmary, where all three are, though some encased in deadtime.

Infirmary

"Okay. Hope it goes well." He smiles, and then tries to walk away from Quinn before he gets hugged again.


"Yes. Today's been exhausting." Sinopa wants to find somewhere to sleep, too. Floors look good.

To make sleeping on the floor better, she shapechanges into a fox again.

Beautiful, indeed...but also Not In Its Place!
To Alex, that makes it nothing better than a weed.
But he's willing to put it off until it finishes blooming.
"You could check the Infirmary?" he suggests.

Quinn nods, and lets Tokala head off, Jamie waving as she spots him.
...then, giggling a little, she slips off the bed and settles on the floor herself, trying to pull fox-Sinopa into her lap for cuddling.

Not in its place? It's with the other roses.
Or are the roses now racist against all non-red, non-white, non-black or non-yellow roses?

"Infirmary. Okay, thank you." She nods (and even does a little curtsey!) before turning to go to the Infirmary, to talk with someone.

Sinopa the Fox is picked up, and held! Like a puppy or a teddy bear or something. She falls asleep!

Tokala waves, and goes to another, to sleep there.

Edit: Oh, and Helen arrives, looking for people.

Heehee. More like, it's not with the other blue roses.
Alex is the gardener, and likes everything in its place, and a place for everything.

He blushes a little at the curtsey, and smiles.
"Glad to be able to help," he says, before returning to gardening, and NPC status.

Jamie smiles, leans against the wall and soon falls asleep, cuddling her sister. Awww....


Quinn looks over at spotting Helen, smiles (a bit wearily), and crosses over to her.

Helen smiles, and waves at Quinn. Not the happiest of smiles, but a smile nonetheless. She doesn't know what went on in here, but by judging the faces of the deadtimed people she can safely assume it wasn't a party.

"Hi, Quinn. I need to...resign from GLoG. So I'm just saying 'bye." As evidenced by the tainted (abyssal) letter in her back pocket, there's some story to it.

Quinn starts to say something, then her jaw drops. "Helen...what? Why? What happened?" she gasps, reaching to put a hand on her friend's shoulder.

Helen closes her eyes tightly, to hold back the tears. "Family-related stuff. I need to get back with them," she says. There's something that she's holding back, and does not want to bring it up. If it was just left at that, she would be happy because she doesn't want others to think so poorly of her.

Quinn nods, in understanding, and steps forwards to pull the other woman into a sisterly hug.
"Alright. You don't have to resign. You'll come back sometime, right? Is there somewhere I can send my wedding pictures to you?"

"Thank you," she whispers, receiving the hug back in the sisterly way. She doesn't mention that she needed to resign because she thought she just wasn't good enough. But Quinn knows best; she won't resign.

"I'll be at your wedding, I promise." She'll be disguised, though, so nobody can recognize her. "I'll try to come back later." If I'm ever able to atone, she mentally adds as a qualifier.

Helen, with tears streaming down her face, withdraws from the hug.

"Thank you," Quinn whispers, smiling as she pulls away. "You're a good friend, Helen. And a good person. I'll miss you." She looks like she's ready to tear up, too.

By the looks of it, there won't be enough time for me to post, then have you reply a post before the Forum Backlong, so I'm going to just have her leave now in this post.

Helen's smile is now less sad, reserved, and regretful and now happier.

With tears still running down her face, she walks back towards the entrance. "Farewell," she says, before turning around and exiting the Infirmary.

She starts running away, and shapeshifts back to her demon form. Her wings pick up air, and she flies away, back to the demon realm.

Quinn waves as Helen reaches the door.
"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be aways at your back," she says, softly, in reply, watching Helen leave...

...then as soon as she's gone, she turns, hurries over to Tobias, and wraps her arms around him, finally breaking down, over everything that's happens, and bursts into tears, burying her face in his shoulder.

Reelshka undeadtimes wandering around the campsite, a little upset. She knows something bad is happening, but she doesn't know what.

Toby comes out of deadtime and notices he now has a sobbing Quinn in his arms. He's used to deadtime now, of course, but it seems like everything changes dramatically every time he loses consciousness these days...
Hey, don't worry Quinn. We'll get her back.

Quinn manages to recover after a moment, and nods, slowly pulling away enough to lift her head. "Yeah. I know. It's just...too much at once," she says quietly. "And you have to promise me, we'll get you back, too."

Reelshka undeadtimes again and sits down on a tree stump a little away from the campsite.
