Arken rubbed his head, trying to dispel the pressure. A voice, seeming to originate within his own skull, whispered horrible threats, attempting to drive him away in terror, but serving instead only as a minor nuisance. He would not be distracted in his duty.

"I shall not fear," Arken murmured, raising his weapon and advancing into the nearest tunnel. "For what terror do mere voices hold? I remain cognizant of the world around me. My mind is unclouded. I remain strong."

Crimson snarled at the monster, hacking at it some more, with wild, heavy chops, not giving it a moment to recover, a moment to catch itself from the merciless onslaught. Her crystal axe wove a tapestry of war and pain as each blow feel harder then before, the collective loss of a city in peril powering each rendering blow. Of course, as she cut, Geas, moved in from the side, eyes cold and focuses as he studied the strange creature for a few seconds, watching waiting for something, as an odd silver red light shown from under his long sleeves. He cocked his head and nodded, murmuring something to himself as he stepped foward.

Then he attacked.

Describing the whirlwind and pain he unleashed on Vodak, in that single, small moment in time, are difficult to come by. He's sleeves feel back, revealing strange metal bracers bracers ensourced by silver light, while the tips of his hands where covered by distinct red particles of essence that that rushed around his fists like a storm.

He lashed out quicker then the eye could follow fists flying with horrible force that beat on the undead monstrosity like a metaphorical drum, raining blows over and over blows on the dark beast. With all the speed and terror of an unexpected avalanche, a thunderbolt out of a clear blue sky.

Geas looked down at the sizzling mass of monster before him, adjusting his glass slightly, and smoothing his fine, dark purple shirt. It was good to be alone with Crimson, no more need for false faces. "That was easier then I expected. We may have this city back under control before we know it, then we can see what to do about the gods." He murmured, his hands disappearing under his heavy sleeves again, a faint glow still being emitted lightly.

Crimson just sighed and rolled her eyes, Geas my claim to be totally in control on the outside, but deep down he was more similar to her then he knew. Sometimes she saw a little of that in battle, even one as short as this. "Show off." she laughed, "I'm gonna check up on Vicky. Whats your plan?"

Geas didn't respond, simply stared down at the odd good for several seconds, until Crimson tapped him on the back. He jerked back suddenly as he turned to meet her, blinking rapidly as if trying to clear away some old dream. "Yes. I'll check on each of the solars, though I will not interfere if I can avoid it. Considering Larks response it would be best if I remained nothing more then Geas the Savant."

With a nod, Crimson gave him one more worried look before vanishing into the tunnels after her daughter, while Geas turned in search of Jet, falling into his own thoughts once again.

[Reynard]

Vodak Battle.

As the split is destroyed, a terrible scream fills the heads of those that could not block the creature out. It screams revenge and oaths of great pain upon you all.

Lark and Rage.

A hideously glistening silver tentacle lashes out, striking out at Rage is response to her assault. Another lashes at Lark.

When Lark returns the favour, it's able to flow out of the way of the first blow, but gets hit by his next.

Vicky.

The creature surges over the Godblooded's sword, a sweeping blow heading straight for her face.

Lark got it for a single health level, 2 motes from the stunt. Bare in mind that Lark's attack came after Vodak's, so the Songsmith's DVs (And only his) are full for Vodak's attack.

Rage leapt back, massive legs forcing her through the air. She could feel that the creature was dangerous. She could survive its attack. But she had no real wish to try. She bared her teeth in defiance of Vodak.

"To slow!"

She landed easily, bringing the Scythe to bear with her face curving back into a smile.

"Let me show you how it is done!"

Lark

Lark met the tentacle head on, Fate Rings flashing as they intercepted the slash from the tentacle. The Solar refused to be puhed back, body tensing and unwinding, song continuing. He forced back the Tentacle, face serious, plain, and luminescent, as he began his assualt.

Victoria Northchild

Victoria sidesteps the amorphous appendage, a flick of her wrist repositioning her blade so that she'd be able to deflect the blow the rest of the way with the flat. After the caustic appendage smashed into the stone adjacent to her, she rotates the blade so that the edge is to it, moving meticulously to ensure a decisive cut. She then slices along, the speed of the strike enhanced by a calculated withdrawal. Not enough to take her out of melee range, or course, but enough so that she had the tunnel she came by to her back rather than a wall.

Rage followed Lark's attack in, swiping over the Solars head with one monumental slash, followed by a shift of her grip, and a pivot, the haft of the Scythe spinning about and swiping back across Vodak in another deadly Silver Arc.

Jet Vainglory

Doing his best to block out the voices (which was impossible at the moment), Jet and Mane continued to pursue the creature down through the tunnels.

Leria, when are you going to get back? We really need the help.

Lark and Rage.

The creature manages to avoid all of the attacks, flowing around the blade like the quicksilver it is. Again it sends two more attacks, one each at Lark and Rage.

Vicky.

The blade flashes in and out of the silver stuff, leaving nary a mark. It retaliates with a pair of whip like tendrils flashing from both sides.

Rage

Rage hisses in frustration as she misses. THE THING ISN'T TINY! IT MOVES SLOW! But she still couldn't hit it! However, she isn't so distracted as to forget what she was up to, dodging the the Tentacle with a practiced Air.

"To slow! Nyah, nyah!"

She stuck her tongue out at the creature, rolling to the side to get out of the way.

Lark

Lark doesn't hesitate, easily blocking the strike, Fate Rings absorbing the blow with a clear and beautifuly ring, just accenting a high point in the Music. Lark pushed it aside, rolling out from under it, and ran up to Vodak, striking in 2 beautiful Arcs, sounds of hissing fury running against the beauty of the song from his mouth. First Horizontally, each running across Vodak's form, meeting in the middle, and continuing past, and then both were brought up, and sliced down hard as one.

The Solar danced backward aftward, to escape the reach of the creature.

Victoria ducks under the swipe of the first tendril, positioning herself adjacent to a rather large stalagmite. With a backstep and a swing of her blade, the Godling holds the second tendril against the stone spike. She grins at the main blade, white fire lighting up the tunnel. "Stop."

One, two, three seconds pass, the tendril rapidly burning through the stone toward freedom. At the last moment, the Godling spins on the ball of one foot, relinquishing the pin and arcing into a slice to take off the tip of the tendril in one fluid motion. "Party time!"

Rage slipped to the left, striking at Vodak from the other side, trying to catch the monster unawares. The girl growled as she struck, growing angry. Something was wrong. Vodak wasn't that good. Her and Lark should be able to do more then this.

"Stupid glowy silver thing!"

She struck hard, with two massive swings from the Scythe, looking to cut deep into the creature.

The silver mass desperately evades Lark's blows, but he can't escape the justice of the Solars for very long.

Rage's follow-up attack scores two blows for team Celestial-Exalt-adopted father-daughter-of-harems-and-cuddles-and-strength.

Vodak seems to have had enough of the young Lunar's nonsense, and lashes four times across Rage's body.

Vicky.

The tentacle slices cleanly, and your sword keeps going through, along, and out of Vodak, the cut quickly flowing shut.

Lark turns, quicker on his feet then the girl with heavy armor and scythe. As Vodak attempts to react, he slams into the Monster again, Fate Rings pinwheeling as he delivers 4 quick slashes, his fate rings slashing left and then right, glowing with Gold of his Anima and singing his battle song. He twists left and right to avoid touching the creatures form, before dodging left and getting out of the way, smiling as he did so. He and Rage were having an effect.

Rage snarled at Vodak, feeling him grip but refusing to accept the pain, her skin toughening as she shook off the tentacles.

"STUPID SILVER THING!"

The Lunar barreled into the monster, swinging her Scythe in a giant Arc and spinning full 360 Degrees to deilver two blows to the creature.

Lark

Lark winces as he sees Rage struck. He knew the little girl was strong. Stronger then him, and tougher as well. But... she was still just a little girl. It wasn't right that he expect her to go into battle with him, and risk her life. She should be protected.

I don't know how I would stop her though.

He focused on the creature in front of him, darting forward with a song of grim intent, striking in a blur of motion. 8 Attacks, 8 different strikes. The Fate rings were a glitter of movement and phantasm, screaming and singing as they struck. His feet danced as he moved, body swaying as he attacked.

The ooze decides on another plan, and starts flowing towards you, not attacking, just moving closer and closer and closer as fast as it can.

Lark looked over at Rage, and was met with a smile, and a nod. The Solar already knew what his mate wanted to do. And he concurred. The two of them rushed back, intending on helping Victoria, who was the only one of them faving a piece of Vodak alone.

Victoria backpeddles at a swift yet steady pace, trying to keep the entire Vodak segment within her field of view. "What happened to the big voice? One of my allies kill your mouth or something?"

Arken arrived at a crossroads in the tunnel. Three possible roads before him, three choices which could send him on wildly divergent metaphysical paths. Physical ones too, of course, but metaphysical sounded more important. Though, of course, the metaphysical was partially defined by the mundane...

He wondered why he was making such a big deal of it, and headed toward the path on his right, making a mark on the stone wall with his daiklave as he passed. If he had to backtrack, at least he would know where he had been. Getting lost down here would probably end with him dead of starvation, or worse.

After walking down the new tunnel for a short time, he spotted someone coming back up the other way. An exceptionally attractive woman, one of those he had seen earlier by the temple. Arken smiled charmingly and waved at the woman.

"Hello! Is there still some sort of monster to fight, or did you already manage to charm it to death?"

Crimson's run came to a stop before the man. The passion of battle was already running through here, the burn of essence and threat of combat giving her eyes a distinctive glow, and sending her mind and emotions racing. And he was handsome too. Oh so very handsome. "Mmm. Do you know what'd look good on you?" She asked, stepping toward him as she snaked one arm around, and pressed him close to her. She turned it into a single, deep, open mouthed kiss, that lasted for a few seconds before she pulled back, grinning. "Me." She drew back just as quickly though, grabbing his arm and pulling her along with him.

"Mmm. You can call me Crimson Lawbringer. And I, regretly have work to do. Lets make it go faster, kay?"

[Lucus Casius]

Not being one to pass up a kiss from such a beauty, even one so completely unexpected as that, Arken responded in kind. He pulled away as she did, with a grin and a wink. Now that was enough to get him excited for the battle ahead... and most certainly for its aftermath.

"You can call me Arken Volein," he responded, still grinning as he ran with her down the tunnel. "And yes, let's."

[Reynard]

Vicky, Arken, Crimson.

Leading the silver thing back along the tunnel, it isn't long before Victoria runs into her mother and her new friend.

Jet.

After some time spent following the blob around, Crimson's mysterious pal comes up behind Jet and Mane.

((Jet, you are in the FUTURE again. Lark is currently in limbo, for a few more ticks.))

Upon seeing Vicky, Crim grabbed Arkens arm to hold him back as she called out to her daughter. "Victoria? Do you need our help?" She may not know her daughter as well as she liked, but she knew herself. Having someone rush in to 'save' you against an enemy you had claimed as your own was offensive on the highest level.

"Hitting it is easy, not getting hit is easier, making it bleed is apparently impossible!" Victoria doesn't bother facing her mother as she ceases her withdrawal, bringing her shield in front of her and point her sword behind her with an outstretched arm. Time to really make it bleed.

As Crimson's companion came up behind them, Jet paused and glanced over his shoulder. "You're Geas, right? Anything you can do to help? I'm still pretty much spent from an earlier fight with this thing, and Mane can't do anything to it in the slightest."

"Well, I could. But then I'd probably get my hands melted off." Mane added, turning to face the newcomer.

Geas didn't respond, simply charged and dived towards the creature, his sleeves billowing up to reveal the shinning braces and the red strands of essence that had totally enveloped his hands And unleashed a flurry of attacks upon the Vodak.
