*Oh. Tentacles. That's fun. Well, looks like that abominable halfling needs some help. Might as well try.* Tiriel runs forward and aims carefully, trying to shoot into the center of the mass of tentacles that is the Choker.

Tiriel, looses an arrow, which passes between the Choker's tentacles, and thuds into the wall the other side, harming nothing.

Due to an extraordinary feat of dexterity, Karnin manages to slide out of the tentacles embrace, immediately throwing caution to the wind, he runs back towards the Chocker on the ceiling, ready to attack again.

The choker(AN,19), enraged at loosing it's prey, directs it's tentacles towards Kirce, attempting to encircle her in it's tentacles

Kirce doesn't manage to fight off the tentacles so they wrap around and constrict her neck, limiting her breathing.

So both Little Bear and Kirce are constricted, so cannot speak/cast with verbal components, and both have taken damage

OOC: RPing this, since I just got to a computer

IC: Karnin twists around in place, back and forth, feeling the tentacles' grip on his chest and throat loosen each time, though the Choker managed to get a secure hold again. Once it became a pattern, however, Karnin kept turning one way, sucked in his chest, and threw himself on the ground. Karnin felt the Choker shift its grip in order to compensate for the next expected oscillation, and felt the tentacles slide off him leaving trails of mucus behind.

Karnin scurried back away from the creature, only to find himself scurrying towards the one he'd wounded before. Seeing the one he'd escaped surrounded by three of his companions - he surprised himself by attaching the possessive - he turned to face the one he'd injured before, and which was now dripping blood all over the floor.

"Let's finish this, beastie," he spat, hurrying up to it as he saw it reach for Jorlin, and surprising himself again by feeling relieved when it didn't embrace him. He felt his rapier fairly leap in his hand in anticipation.

After the battle developed more, Keric rushes towards the creatures, stopping close to the elderly woman who was getting choked to death. Keric mutters something under his breath, and an energy ball that seemed to be dripping acid appeared in his hand, and Keric launched it at the beast closest to him.

I move to AP20, and launch a lesser acid orb at the choker that has Kirce.
+4 on my roll nullified by -4 melee gives me +0 on my attack roll, Its a ranged touch attack, and since its grappling it gets no dex bonus. Giving it a touch ac of11 (I believe this is right, but I'm not entirely sure.

Keric sends a fizzing ball of acid, aimed straight at the Choker, however in a discouraging twist, in his haste to help, the orb goes awry, and misses totatally, in fact it skims closer to Kirce than it does the Choker, but in the end it fizzles into the wall.

Jorlain's turn is next:

Jorlain's face is locked in an expression of grim determination. The everpresent smile across his face is no more - and left is only piercing dead blue eyes and an indifferent expression.
He lifts his sword, and twist it as he slashes for the Choker.

Kirce looks carefully at the creature choking the very life from her, and clenches her teeth. If the beast thought this had any chance of working it had to be stupider than it looked. Her sickle still in hand she slashes out at it.

As Little Bear is released from the chokers grip by its death he takes a step and (after giving a quick nod of thanks to the fighter who killed the choker) throws several shuriken at the nearest one still moving.

Little Bear's shuriken fly harmless past the Choker, and hit the wall behind it. The dark in the sewer, and the tense atmosphere, with the choker's weird bodies, and screams, is making all but the steadiest miss their shots.

It is now Tiriel's turn:

Tiriel rushes forward forward past Keric to help the halfling, gnome and paladin, but turns when he sees the failed strike of the witch. *Gods, I can't be everywhere at once!* He knocks another arrow, pulls back, and fires once more at the choker, well, choking the life out of the witch.

New Round...Karnin's turn:

Karnin chuckles as Jorlain's blade rips the Choker in two, the pieces falling from the ceiling with what can only be called a crunchy splash. He studies the one before him. It had dodged the monk's shruikan, and despite the deep, narrow wound he'd given it earlier didn't look like going down just yet. Plus, it was still clinging to the ceiling and he didn't really feel like jumping again.

He looked behind him to the one choking Kirce just in time to see the forester's arrow thud into it. Loath though he was to face this particular Choker again, it was low enough to hit, and even its alien face looked dazed. Karnin gritted his teeth and tumbled towards it, positioning his rapier to hit what he thought was a pulsing artery.

Karnin's thin rapier slices into the tentacled mass deeply. A wail sounds from the strange beasts mouth, then with a deep shudder, a thick spray of blood issues from the wound. The tentacle slips from around the witch's neck, and finally the beast, drops off the ceiling and lies still.

The remaining, injured choker, lashes out with a tentacle against the heavily armoured knight:

Seeing two of the beasts go down, Keric runs next to the fighter, and uses a much weaker spell since in his mind, the battle was already won. He does a quick hand motion and a tiny orb of acid shoots at the last creature.

The orb of acid, rather pathetically, misfires out of the wizards hand, and instead of covering the Tentacled mass of choker in acide, merely makes a rather embarresing puddle on the floor.

Suddenly an arrow streaks out of the shadows...piercing the Choker, deeply, and finally killing it.

You hear a slight murmer (Listen check to hear) from the shadows, and then silence.

"Where'd the arrow come from?" asks Karnin, seeing it sticking out of the recently dead Choker. "...and thanks," he mumbles, his surprise at the others' joining in the fight returning.

EDIT: Before he gets a response, his head snaps up. He whispers to the forester, the closest person to him, "I think I heard what's his name, the guy who led us down here. You think he shot the arrow...?" Karnin trails off, his tone indicating without words that he does not know the forester's name, and would like to learn it.

Karnin shakes his head and brushes the hair away from his forehead slowly in frustration. So much for reaching out to the forester, he clearly wasn't worth it. And after his challenge to what's his name, it was probably best not to be seen standing right next to him. Karnin leaned into the wall and crouched down, trying to make himself invisible to the shooter.
