The forcefield does become more blurred and less defined in that area as the concentrated fire is applied, but it's all a moot point as the thing suddenly becomes much less of a forcefield and more of a controlled kinetic blast sent toward the henchmen, the center area of it weakest in strength thanks to the attacks on the forcefield, the outer portions strong enough to send a human of normal weight flying. The center's likely to only cause staggering at the most.

But the newfound lack-of-forcefield means the henchmen are getting a flame-jet pointed at them, DC moving the gun in a sweeping motion to hit as many of the henchmen as possible with it.

Fwoosh!

The henchmen groan in pain as the flames wash over them, but they return fire nonetheless, their built-in sensor systems and subcutaneous armor plates keeping them in the fight.

Of course, the flames will probably also burn the fibers of the net, so the netted henchmen are now freeing themselves.

((And yes, the helping hench was in cover with Jack, hence he cannot be affected by the net.))

KR dodges to the side, dropping the netgun as she searches for another weapon. With that hook to the head and the dropping of her blaster, she's running out of weapons she can comfortably use in one hand. Thus... laser pointer! At full power, it's of putting a red dot on a steel wall at several hundred meters... or burning straight through it at ten.
It's actually a pretty useful weapon, and she's fitted it with freeze-rays and shrink-rayss and every other ray imaginable. The only thing preventing it from being a regular weapon in KR's arsenal is the limited power source, and the lack of any sort of sights, meaning it's impossible to aim at anything more than say, the length of a room.
...
But anyway, she's using it now and attempting to drill some nice holes through the heads of a bunch of henchmen.

A smaller forcefield pops up between DC and the incoming hail of bullets. This one doesn't move, though, not being used offensively.

DC seems to just be 'reloading' his gun from behind it, removing the red cell and replacing it with a black one...

Jack fiddles around in the Yellow Road for a moment or two, unless interrupted.

Then he pulls out his trusty MATADOR rocket launcher. Making sure to keep it hidden behind the table, he loads another missile and...

BAM! Fires it straight at DC. Woosh, kaboom.

This is all over the course of about a minute, so if someone wants to try and interrupt, be my guest.

All the while, he cackles maniacally.

One of the enhanced henchmen goes down with a hole in his forehead; the others try to find cover and shift their aim to KR.

The henchman who left returns with healing potions for Jack, ducking and weaving as he moves quickly to get behind the table.

"HEY! Don't kill her! Take her alive if you must, but I want her not dead." Ilpholin yells at the henchman.

DC sees the henchmen fleeing for cover and hovers upwards, hoping to be able to circumvent it via simple altitude...and his ascent also means getting away from that rocket.

It also means that low-lying cover is no longer any concern of DC's, likely giving him a better view of...well, most everyone. Including that henchman moving to help Jack.

Said henchman is liable to find a black beam of negative energy coming down at him.

Meanwhile, the cover in the room that isn't bolted down will likely be getting telekinetically grabbed and moved to generally be a nuisance to henchmen trying to aim. By getting in the way.

How annoying!

Yeah, KR's on the ground, she's not getting out of the way nearly fast enough. She gets shot thrice, in the shoulder, in the hip, in the leg. Conveniently, they all missed major arteries, but being shot anywhere is not a laughing matter. It hurts.
Gritting her teeth against the pain, she reaches out with her broken right arm and attempts to telekinetically crush the delicate mechanisms of their machine-gun arms. Yowch. An easy feat for DC perhaps, but KR isn't quite as powerful.

KR succeeds in futzing up the mechanisms, jamming the guns. They work to clear the jams.

DC's negative energy beam takes out the one with the potions, and he crumples, sending the potions rolling along the floor toward Jack.

Half a dozen more henchmen enter the room, 3 of them enhanced, and all of them open fire on DC.

Those potions are liable to start floating away from Jack as DC takes telekinetic hold of them and sends them over to KR.

DC drops just as quickly as he ascended, the cover he took moving to protect him and coming back down to the ground. He's keeping his head down for now, though the gun itself floats up, DC wielding it telekinetically, and it makes a small sweep at the new henchmen before falling back down.

Unjamming a weapon is likely harder when you've got holes in your head. KR takes advantage of the distraction she created and attempts to cap the rest of the henchmen shooting at her.

KR's taken down two more of the enhanced henchmen before the rest unjam their guns.

However, rather than press the attack, the henchmen - all of them - withdraw to doorways and so forth, where they'll be more sheltered from attacks.

A few more potions are rolled across the floor in Jack's direction.

Well, KR will hear DC's voice in her head again. Take those healing potions and go! This withdrawal won't last forever. I'll follow once you're out, just go!

For reference, DC means the first potions that were intended for Jack. Lousy thieving psychic.

The Moff, after shrugging and walking away from Darcy, decides that with the oppertunity to restock, he might manage to help Jack.

Now, what is there that can resist telekenisis... well, you can't do anything to what you don't know is there, can you?

The Moff runs into a random room. Luckily enough, the room contains the teleporter that Phantom mentioned. Combining the teleporter with the cameras all over the base, The Moff attempts to shove a lethal quantity of C4 into DC's immediate vicinity. Apparently, the teleporters are silent and completely invisible. Hey, there's a precedent for this.

Essentially, a quantity of C4 appears silently behind DC and promptly explodes.

Never mind... the stupid things, I just can't stop sayin' em...

((...you're probably right. It's not altogether much of a stretch, though, when you consider that The Moff's only ability, absurd amounts of luck, hasn't meant jack sh*t in a single fight he's been in... I work with what I'm given. And DC's post indicating retreat ninja'd me.))

((In general, attacks that, if successful, will cause instant PC death, almost never succeed. Try making less lethal attacks, and maybe going against different players. Your attacks have pretty much been all against Iames characters and a few others here and there.))

Darcy is... still around, the next room over from the fight, wondering why no one has asked her for help, and choosing not to interfere without being asked.

((...I've been in one fight with Iames. The fight also involved several other characters. The only fight The Moff has WON was against a few NPCs played by Magtok who were intended as a joke. And as far as I know, there's a middle ground between "not getting shot" and "getting shot and dying", and "not getting stabbed", and "getting stabbed and dying". The Moff didn't even HIT KR once. Or Wenomir, twice, or nearly anyone in the Embassy fight. The C4 thing is by far the most lethal The Moff has ever gotten.))

Yeah. KR. Retreat. That's funny.

KR grabs one of the potions and drinks it, healing her just enough to walk. Then, grabbing all her weapons in reach, retreats for the door!
...
But not before flinging a tracking spell at Jack. If he ever leaves the safety of the base...
Oh yeah, she'll find him.
Unless of course he somehow figures out that he's got an invisible tracking spell on him and gets it dispelled.

Ilpholin shouts as KR starts to leave, still up on her spider in the corner of the room.

Ilpholin may find herself and her mount falling to the ground as a laser pointer carves a perfect circle through her web.

Not that KR had anything to do with it. Y'know. Just saying.

Wow, dang. I completely forgot. Forget the rocket, then.

Also, no one is allowed to crack on Moff for attacking anything. I haven't seen him win one fight since I got here, and all or most of them have been against people stronger than him.

But I dunno about the C4. Eh. Such an insta-lethal attack tends to annoy players, so out of courtesy, maybe we should let that slide.

Jack is hit with said tracking spell, snatching one of the potions before it floats away and guzzling it.

He gives DC and KR a glare that... well, if looks could kill.

But doesn't give chase. Since obviously, no attacks he makes would stop them from leaving anyway.

Just sayin'.

"EEEEEE!" There's a shriek as suddenly Ilpholin and Mister Squiggles falls to the floor. Fortunately Mister Squiggles is pretty good at landings. But it is fairly disconcerting.

"ALRIGHT WHO DID THAT?!"

It certainly wasn't DC. He's busy retreating. Clearly.

He's also trying to telekinetically take one of the dead enhanced henchmen with him.

The enhanced henchmen wait for DC and KR to be well and truly gone before they begin collecting the bodies and bringing them back to the OR so that the components can be salvaged.

DC manages to haul one away. The others don't attempt to stop him, having seen his powers first-hand. There are spares still in the OR.

"Darcy" sits down in front of the television, pretending to watch "Real Housewives" while she communicates telepathically with KR and DC. Not that Turtle could initiate telepathy herself, but as long as the Watchtower leaders checked in frequently enough, they would learn whatever she knew. No need to put anything in writing when they could extract her memories directly.

It wasn't easy being a mole. It was so tempting to break cover, switch sides in the middle of a critical encounter. But it was too important to have an information source inside the enemy's organization, and a shapeshifter was the best choice for that. Of course it couldn't last. Eventually Turtle would be found out. But even then, if she survived, she could always invent a new persona and try again.

But oh gods... the vampires... Ebon's zombies... could she really endure it much longer?
