didn't notice? SPARTA is an AC monster. +8 adamantine body, +1 dex, +3 extreme shield, +3 Law Devotion makes 25. You lowered my dex from 13 to 6, means my AC is 22

And even if you hit, only 1 damage would get past my DR and I'm immune to poison

Psidog went as far as buying a construct bane bolt to counter me because SPARTA is just ridiculously tough, especially for ranged fighters with his Block Arrow

Perhaps I should nix Power Word:Fatigue for another offensive spell that's not fire based...

yeah, you really lack offensive capability if your enemy takes a resist energy potion. Another damage spell would be a good idea. I have 14 temp hp, 11 HP and I don't see you taking me down before I get lucky with a harpoon

Nope...the idea behind this guy was to get your dex low enough where I either
a) my AC/Familiar could take you down,
b) touch of fatigue would make your Str or Dex go to 0 in conjunction with Power Word Fatigue and Ray of Clumsiness.
c) blast with KFB

Your Warforged screwed me on b altogether...and your pot messed up c...

fair enough. Was a nice one though I still think that Dragonwrought+Loredrake+Alter Self is way too good. I just had the right character to tank everything you can do, lucky for me

something like that. I once accidentally summoned K-yeudo and he demanded 10.000 souls, so since then I collect the souls of characters and companions I defeat in Arena. I already got 20, only 9.980 to go

I'd go with something direct damage, you're heavy on debuffs already and save or die still offers a save. Magic missile maybe, 2d4+2 isn't bad. Can be countered with a potion too, but Shield only holds for minutes/level

I'm pretty sure you can't buy a potion of shield...as it has a range of "Personal"

oh there are some exceptions to that, though rather exotic. Master Specialist Abjurers can make potions of personal abjuration spells

still 50 GP, the creator is ata higher level, but you can always choose to create potions at a lower CL

And it provides at least a counter for Fell Drain MM. I can't get my head around why Fell Draining isn't banned in this low-level environment

not for fell drain, just for delivering them with autohitting magic missiles. I'm not aware of any cheap counter to fell drain. Again, apart from being a Warforged

edit: Sunstroke was in Sandstorm I think, what did it do again? Something like damage+status effect, though it was some kind of heat damage described in Sandstorm, not fire. No idea if Resist helps, take that to the Waiting Room if you need a clear answer
