"It's because a good third of our members have had run-ins with Were's and would never accept one. Including me. Not to mention the tendency for the infection or curse to spread." She says coldly, as if she's seen it happen. "You might take it lightly, but I assure you, we never will."

[Gullara]

[Interview]

Kore frowns, "Curse? I don't understand." He looks genuinely confused.

[UncleWolf]

Interview

The woman gives him a look of severe annoyance. "Yes, curse. Some people are cursed with it instead of bitten. Now, will you head out, or will I have to escort you? I have much more pressing matters at hand."

[Gullara]

[Interview]

"Now hold on one moment please. I don't know if we are talking about the same thing. My ability to change form is not some kind of curse that can spread. It is an old magic that is in my bloodline." Kor says. "Even if you still can't accept me just based on the similarity to this curse, there still might be a way to solve this problem. If you will hear me."

[UncleWolf]

Interview

The woman nearly growls, but restrains herself. "I don't need to hear it." She taps a wrist plate on her power armor a couple times before turning back to him. "If you do get rid of it and can prove it. Then we might consider going further. But as it stands. No matter what reason you give me. It is a no." She pauses to take a deep breath. "Besides, I have no way of knowing at the moment if your story is true, let alone what your affiliations, abilities, or enemies are. And until I can find those out, this is as far as you're going to go."

[Gullara]

[Interview]

Kore's frown deepens, "I can get rid of it, and I'm willing to do so. It's a... relatively simple thing to do. But I will leave now. I can be back tomorrow, and hopefully I will be able to meet your requirements then," He starts to leave but turns back to her. "As for confirming if my story is true, my homeworld's name is Casayon and I was in the army of the Setoran Empire. The empire doesn't exist any more, that is why I went back to mercenary work, but the name might still help you." Now he actually goes to leave. "Farewell."

Interview

Vasquez, the woman and leader of Mortal Coil, will go with him to make sure he leaves.

[Interview]

And he does. He gives her a nod and a military salute before he heads off.

[UncleWolf]

Once he leaves, two others join her. One a short halfling, the other a human woman with glasses. "Carl, go after him and keep an eye on him while Anna and I scry him." The halfling in power armor nods before activating his cloak, the light shimmering where he was before the only thing showing his passing is a slight breeze as he hurries off to follow the werewolf tiefling.

A short while later, Anna and Vasquez head to a specially prepared room with several computers lined up near a clear pool of water, wires connecting them. The combat mage casts the scry spell even as Vasquez uploads the images recorded of Kore from her suit into the mainframe. It's an abominable spell, a mix of tech and magic, but with the pictures and using the name Kore as the focus, they try to find out who he is as well as trying to see if what he said was the truth.

All this happens as Carl tries to follow him.

[Gullara]

Carl will find him in Outside. I already posted there.

As for the scry. They will find that the world Casayon exists and so did the Setoran Empire which did in fact fall. They might find that the world has a long tribal history with examples of the descendants of tribals being able to take various animal like forms, not only wolves. If they can follow where he has been they will note be able to trace him far back before there is a disturbance. The next time they see him it is back on Casayon. He appears to be talking with some sort of mage. Presumably the disturbance was the passage to the Nexus.

It won't be able to pick up any inconsistencies or lies.

Depending on the exact capabilities of the scrying it could pick up any of these things.

It's fairly powerful, so the world is at least confirmed to have existed. Once that's confirmed, they try to track him after the disturbance, trying to figure out where he's been before coming here(ISF).

They will likely find it odd. He ended up in a forest Outside and came straight to the ISF HQ.

Vasquez gestures for the mage to cut it off, and she does, collapsing into a chair with exhaustion. She got what she needed. She'd allow him to come in the next day. She offers Anna a slight smile. "Go get some rest, and thank you."

[Gullara]

And now that it is the next morning Kore goes back to the same gate he went through before. He does look a bit different (see Outside) but he is still obviously the same guy.

He approaches the gate.

The guards keep him waiting for a moment before Vasquez arrives. When she does, she offers a slight smile and waves him on in and back towards the Interview room, not wasting any time.

[Gullara]

Kore nods and follows.

[Interview]

He will sit down and wait for Vasquez to address him.

[UncleWolf]

Inter...who's kidding, Interrogation Room

Vasquez waits for a moment before nodding when another person enters the room. He's also in black power armor, with some kind of gauntlets on his hands. He isn't wearing his helmet, so it shows that he's a drow.

"Did you cure your lycanthropy?"

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

"I removed my ability to shapeshift, yes." Kore replies.

Interrogation Room

"Good." Vasquez moves her hand quickly, amplified greatly by her armor, and Kore will find her pistol suddenly in her grip and aimed right at him, finger on the trigger. "Now, who are you really? Don't bother lying, because I already know your story doesn't add up. Answer truthfully, and you may get out of this alive." As she speaks, the elf flicks his wrists a certain way, activating the strange gloves and they begin to spark with electricity.

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

"I'm exactly who I said I am, nothing more nothing less. My story is truth." Kore says, scowling slightly. He eyes the weapons directed at him warily.

[UncleWolf]

Interrogation Room

Vasquez pulls back the hammer of her pistol, making a distinctive clicking sound. "Some of it may be, but not all. We scried you. No one, ever comes right to the ISF as soon as they arrive here. Especially without a period of adjustment. Yet you came straight here with no delay." She gives him a smirk. "Would you care to rephrase that? Because right now your story isn't too convincing, and in this room, I have ultimate authority."

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

Kore raises his hands slowly. "I had information before I came here." he says. "I studied it first before I came and made my decision where I would go. I was going to come either here, WATCHTOWER, or NO."

[UncleWolf]

Interrogation Room

Vasquez lets the hammer back slowly before sitting at the table, hand still on the gun and ready to fire at a moment's notice. She was just tired of standing. "If so, it's the first case I've ever heard of someone doing that." She says skeptically. "And that brings up other questions. Why leave your world for this one? Who was it that supposedly "scouted" this place out for you, and why the hell would you know about Mortal Coil and not the Imperial Army, where you should have gone, or the ISF?"

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

Kore relaxes. "There was an old shaman I knew once. He had a particular talent for scrying and passed his days exploring other worlds. He would often tell me of these worlds. After he died, not long ago, I decided I wanted to see on of these worlds. The Nexus was the only one I could access so it was the obvious choice."

"The shaman, he wrote down a lot of informations on these worlds. I read what he wrote on the Nexus before I came. The mortal coil caught my attention and appealed to me. I didn't want to be in an army again, something more elite was more interesting."

((I have to deadtime for a couple hours now))

Interrogation Room

Vasquez shakes her head. "I still don't believe it. We haven't even been around that long. And you're worse than any civilian with no training trying to get in." She says. "You only think you know the Nexus and Inside. You haven't even been here a week. You wouldn't last with us. You probably couldn't tell us the difference between an Exalted and a leech. Sure, it's a subtle difference, but its important."

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

"I didn't say you've been around long. I only heard about the Nexus recently and I looked into it more carefully because I found I would be able to come here." Kore says.

"I realize I am not familiar with the Nexus, but how many of your new recruits truly are? I am capable of learning, and eager to." He has a determined look in his eye when he says this.

[UncleWolf]

Interrogation Room

"Our recruits? Most have either been here all their lives, and the others for at least a year. And maybe 1 out of a 100 of them meet our requirements, and maybe 1 out of 20 of them pass training. About half of those who don't, die." She says in complete honesty. She doesn't mention that those who do pass will have almost definitely have died. At least once.

[Gullara]

[Interrogation Room]

Kore leans forward and says, "Tell me then how I can prove myself to you. Is a lack of knowledge really the problem? Because I am a quick study, it would not remain a problem for long. I will do everything I can to meet your requirements if I am just given the chance."

[UncleWolf]

Interrogation Room

"Personally? I don't like your story. It's too convenient. But go ahead and go. Come back when you think you know everything." She gestures with her gun towards the door.

[Gullara]

Kore nods and stands. "Goodbye for now then." and then he leaves.
