The brotherhood is dying. What Ezio built over 30 years is crumbling in his absence. Our enemies have returned to power and our former allies are now our nemeses. We are fewer in number than at the end of the Crusades. Even now the Templars will be planning to take yet another one of our hideouts, or trap another squad of our recruits.
But we are not without hope. Martin Luther. Desiderius Erasmus. People are willing to stand against the papacy. The all-encompassing force behind European life. The tool of the Templars. If they can face one, why not the other? We may just survive. We may just take back what has been lost.
