[NEXUS] Home III: Third Time's the Charm

[The Bushranger]

"Aheh. Well, what can I say? Other than I enjoy being able to hold my lovely wife." Brendan blushes a bit more. "And yeah, there's a basement - haven't done much to finish it though. I'll show you there, if you'd like?"

[Recaiden]

Ashna nods and smiles. "Yes. That would be nice. I can't believe you didn't mention it before." And she of course never found it because it was downstairs below the store, which is not a space of hers. Yep.

[The Bushranger]

Brendan stands, and chuckles, offering Ashna his hand. "Well, I wanted to finish it before showing it to you. But I don't mind showing it now."

And smiling, he'll lead her to an elevator in the hallway (the doors of which look like a closet's), and get in to head down to the basement.

[Recaiden]

New elevator too? Wow.

"Ah. How sweet." Ashna will take his hand and head down to the basement.

[The Bushranger]

The Construction Gnomes have been busy.

"Thanks." Brendan smiles, and when they arrive at the basement they find...
Basement Cat!

[Recaiden]

"You're welcome, dear." She had expected something more cellarry, but this may be even better.
"It is a bit empty, yeah. But it's great!"

[The Bushranger]

"You like it, then?" Brendan smiles broadly, almost beaming in pleasure. "I was planning on getting the ceiling in tomorrow, actually..."
He looks at Ashna curiously, not having really taken her for the basement-y type.

[Recaiden]

Ashna goes to kiss Brendan on the cheek. "Of course I do." It's not like all her previous homes were underground or anything. Brendan should remember them.

[The Bushranger]

Well, true. But still. Those were homes, not basements.

Brendan smiles more, and goes to kiss Ashna on the cheek in return. "Well, then. That's wonderful. Should I plan on moving the bedroom down here, then?" he (half? quarter?) teases.

[Recaiden]

"Might be a bit inconvenient. But it still sounds good to me."

[The Bushranger]

"Well, then, in that case, your wish is my command."
Brendan gives a bow, then straightens up with a chuckle.

[Recaiden]

Ashna is laughing along. "Very gracious of you, Sir Drake. But no need to do it just yet. When the room is finished."

[The Bushranger]

((Aw. No worries though, same here.))

"Well, then. Perhaps we should head upstairs for the night once more? Since the floor would be quite uncomfortable." He grins a bit, cheeks pink. "Ladies first?"

[Recaiden]

"I think so. And I'll go first, if you insist." Honestly, it's kind of weird. But that's okay. He is from another world.
Ashna will, with a tinge of hesitation, leave the basement and return to the 2nd story.

[The Bushranger]

Indeed. But he's getting better. Perhaps? A little.
And Brendan will join her in the elevator, then (perhaps sensing her hesitation) lead Ashna back to the bedroom on the second floor.

[Recaiden]

A little.
Yep. Where else would one go to sleep? Or not sleep, as it may be. Up to Brendan. But now Ash does eventually get into the bed as opposed to the chair.

[The Bushranger]

And after freshening up for the night, Brendan joins Ash in bed. Where much snuggling and kissing and other romantic notions likely occur, and quite possibly...not-sleep. But then, there will be sleep. And smiles. At least for him, and, he hopes, for her.

" Slightly, but no true set backs. In fact I believe I will be making leaps and bounds soon. " He says before digging into the food.

Really? Well, that's good.

Al nods. " Yes, it is. " Is all he says before continuing eating.

Delta will wait for him to finish, then start her usual daily routine.

Felicis Island

Elle nods idly, she wasn't really around for any of the HATS, and probably wouldn't have approved of thier antics, either. So instead she keeps heading inland until they get to the cottage. Darting inside she hunts for blankets, knocking over boxes and generally having a gleeful time making more of a mess.

And finding her little bell collar in the meantime and making a lot of jingling. Gasp! "What if we just pretend the sleeping bags are a blanket?" She doesn't ask about what Mk 12:5 is, because it'll probably take longer to explain than is entirely worth it.

[Lord Magtok]

Felicis Island

That's...a lot of boxes all over the place. O.o

Magtok idly taps one with his foot as he follows her in, and a whole bunch of fireworks tumble out. Oh right, he decided to have Mainframe bring some of those in, too. Good thing there wasn't some precariously placed box full of candles nearby, or that could've gone poorly.

That'll work just fine, sure. Now let's gooo!

Magtok takes a sleeping bag, tosses the s'mores, graham crackers, and some chocolate in there, takes Elly by the hand, and then hurries along out the door. I honestly don't know what his rush is, the island isn't going anywhere.

[Brendan's Upstairs]

The next morning will probably find Brendan up first and preparing breakfast for both himself and Ashna before heading downstairs to the basement to work.

[Recaiden]

[Brendan's House]

Given how time works here, Ashna can just as well be helping with the basement. And yes, she's probably still asleep, with that detestable new moon outside.

[The Bushranger]

[Brendan's]

In that case, Brendan would have left the breakfast on a Magical Keep-It-Hot Plate on a tray next to the bed.

Assuming his kissing her cheek didn't work to wake the sleeping princess.

[Recaiden]

Nope, still sleeping. Though awake now, and minutes later coming downstairs to eat.

[The Bushranger]

In that case, Brendan will already be down in the basement, and the sound of hammering might be audible.

[Recaiden]

"So, how is it going?" will be asked of him, Ashna looknig curiously around the room.

[The Bushranger]

About two panels of drywall have been put up down one side of the room, with more ready to be erected shortly.
"Oh, hey, love." Brendan smiles and sets down the hammer. "It's coming along pretty well. I think I'll be able to get the walls finished today, at least the drywall part. I was thinking of a nice wood-grain covering over them..."
