Acheron wordlessly wipes orc blood off his sword, returning it to his back he rummages about the corpses searching for anything significant.

"I understand your concern, good gnome. You must be new to these parts. Shifters, contrary to their name, rarely travel very far. They are village dwellers and rely on the mountains for protection. your fighting spirit is duely noted. The King will be pleased to see someone else cares as much for his city as he does. Protection is his chief goal. However, as I said, our guards are few. We have been spread too thin."

The Dwarf then turns to Acheron.
"Fair Human, the sword in your hands is mighty. The King would love your assistance for further protection of the colony. Of course, your service will be rewarded with far more gold than you could find anywhere else on this island."

To the half-orc he says
"I see not all those from Orc descent are vile creatures. Forgive my prejudice, but I have never seen an half-orc fight on behalf of the King. I think the King will be pleasantly surprised by you. "

Then he addresses all five men.
"Saviors of Neotross, will you accompany me to the throne of King Mintos?"

"Yes!" overwhelmed with joy that finally he will be able to be present in the court of the king Mintos, Micheal Derving turns invisible, the only sign that he is still with the group are the small clouds of dust that are created as he jumps up and down.

"What in the Hellfire Peninsula is going on? Where am I? This doesn't seem like Azeroth, nor do you people seem much like the Alliance... It may be best that I go with you, at least to get some answers."

[Crixx]

Stephan

"I will go with you dwarf, though why watchmen should watch themselves is confusing. We shall see what your king plans to do about such attacks . . . and maybe other things" Stephan is stern, large black eyebrows furrowed deeply. His face is grim, but he follows the dwarf wherever he leads.

Acheron

Acheron seems lost in thought staring at the huddled corpses of the dead citizens. He shakes himself back to the present and turns his mask toward the newcomer.
Lead, dwarf. If we are to go then let us go."

El Pato's webbed feet make leathery slapping noises as he trudges over to join the others, intent on seeing the king.

While listening to their conversation, he can't help but stare at the mask of the spooky guy with the sword. After the talking subsides, he approaches him politely.

"I confess that I cannot recall your name, stranger. I usually make it a point to know every wrestler in the city league. What weight class are you in?"

The masked man half turns his head to look at the strange talking creature before him.

"Acheron."

Finding that he in fact does not know soul, Micheal Derving turns to the Goliath and asked slow and loud, "YOU...WHAT...IS...YOUR...NAME! ME...MICHEAL!" signing each word.

[Crixx]

Stephan

Laughing quite loudly Stephan responds to the small, excited gnome. "I am Stephan small man. You do not need yell, my hearing is good." He then turns to the Orcish creature and speaks again, still slightly puzzled. "And who are you poofing Orc? Why do you enter bars in such a strange way?"

[Iudex]

Standing proud Caesus says, "My name is Caesus, son of Go'el, shaman of the orc clan Frostwolf, ambassador of the Horde, and liaison of the Earthen Ring."

Then sighing and letting his shoulders drop he adds, "I come from the land of Kalimdor in the world we call Azeroth. I was headed to the city of Orgrimmar to deliver a message to the Warcheif, but instead I find myself here. Whatever this place is I don't know where it is or how it is that I got here."

Micheal Derving stops to catch up with the strange aquatic-seeming creature that is with the group, "I do say! What sort of creature are you? Are you ride-able? I believe you would make a great steed to ride into glorious battle on."

El Pato regards the garrulous gnome with amusement. "My birth name is Vicente, although most know me as EL PATO ENMASCARADO!" he says with a flourishing gesture. Then, laughing, " "I admit I have never considered giving rides before, but you seem like you wouldn't be difficult to carry. I suppose I could try." With an unusual fluidity he scoops up the gnome in one arm and deposits him on his shoulders as they walk. "There! Now there are many fewer knees obscuring your vision."

I'm good with El Pato carrying Micheal around while you are not in combat but you will have to roll some checks if he rides El Pato into battle.

"Woah! Woah! Ah! Yes! I can see clearly now the knees are gone! This is grand, but I believe it would be quite difficult to do battle from here as you are slippery! But thank you fine, Vicente, for this delightful experience.". Micheal Derving slides down El Pato's side onto the ground and runs past the strange masked man and the orc to the Dwarf.

Stephan

Turning to the cloaked figure as the group approaches the castle, Stephan stares for awhile before finally speaking. "You wield very big sword, but are not very big. Who taught you to use such weapon? Your skill seems good." Though Stephan is attempting to whisper, his voice still hums loudly enough for everyone around to hear.

Acheron turns his mask up toward his speaker

He raises his hand to show his ring to the tall goliath. The dark ring shows a raven in flight across his ring finger.
"The Queen of the Ravens will not suffer a servant who cannot carry out Her will."
His muffled voice is strained and low, as if it is an effort to carry that much even such a small distance.

You come to the castle and wait by the gate while your Dwarven escort speaks with the guards. They let you in and thank you as you pass. Word spreads quickly in Neotross. The mood in the castle is slightly better than the lingering fear from the steets. Before you can enter the throne room, the captain of the guard says to you, "With the greatest respect, saviors, I must have you leave your weapons and totems outside of the throne room. Let there be no doubt, you have shown you loyalty to the Pantross. However, the King does not allow anyone to be armed in his presents. Please understand we mean no disrespect to your honor."

Assuming you leave your weapons behind

Your weapons are wrapped in fine, protective cloth and set on a table in the antechamber. When you enter the throne room, it is strikingly empty. There are no pillars, no guards surrounding the king, and no decorations. The king sits on a respectably large throne. Beside him is a desk. You can see a huge axe resting against his throne. He is short, even for a Dwarf. His short stature is not the most distinguishing feature of King Mintos. His beard has three braids that would reach his knees if he were to stand. It is coiled in his lap like a cat.

When you enter, he is smiling. He stands to greet you but does not move beyond his the edge of his throne. His head does not change levels when he stands.

"Grand Savios of Neotross! You are already heros for my people. I was told you killed 10 foul beasts in a matter of seconds! How astounding! I have never heard of such fighting prowess since the fights of El Oso Luchador and, of course, myself. I long for the feeling of my axe on the skulls of my enemies once again."

He pauses for a while and looks whistful. Then he sits back down.

"I appologise that the gates were not properly secured. That problem has been resolved. Permanately. I did not bring you here only to give thanks for you skill and loyalty. I need your help."

He bows his head after he admits need.

"The Pantross nation has been fighting two wars on this island. One against the rebelious Shifters and one against a band of raiders on horseback. Now, it seems we have a third front on our hands. There have been rumors of evil creatures festering in an abandoned fort to the west. My troops are already too thin. I need your help to save the colony. Will you take up the flag of Pantross and save a nation?"

Pushing forward through the group to the front. Micheal Derving raised his fist and let out a loud yell. "I will defend you Great King!". (However, he is invisible... like before, because of his great excitement).

[Iudex]

Caesus speaks up, "While I am sympathetic to your cause, I must ask, what is in it for me? I'm still not quite sure where I am, nor do I have anything at stake to stay here. I feel like I would be better off trying to find my way back to Kalimdor. For all I know you could be enemies of the Horde, helping you may cause me to be unwelcome back home."

What do I roll if I want to try to sense motive aka see if this is an okay guy?

Stephan looks the dwarf in the eyes for the first time, still unsure about the customs of royalty. "The fort is abandoned, but was place of many people once too yes? Now bad things are there, hurting land and colony. Will colony not do same thing when gone? We need to stop cycle of hurt to the earth." Realizing that he may just have offended the king, he speaks again "Though I will help kill bad things."

El Pato recalls the ache of restlessness he has come to know over the past few months. Perhaps it was because the wrestling circuit was not the challenge it had once been. The champions of twenty years ago had all but vanished, and bums, thugs, and kids had replaced them. Or perhaps the ache was the frustration of knowing in the back of his mind that his father's killer was still at large.

Whatever the reason, it suddenly becomes apparent to El Pato that his wrestling days in Neotross are done. He can no longer pretend to belong among the strangers in the gyms. His life in this city is over. It is time, he decides, for a final adventure.

"Evil creatures?"

Acheron wonders if these "evil creatures" could lead to what he's been hunting for; and if it requires traveling with others, well others can occasionally be useful.

[Bearclaw]

The King looks directly at an invisable Micheal Derving and smiles.

"Thank you, Gnome Savior. Your skill will be needed. But why do you hide yourself? There are no enemies here.

And half-orc, you don't know where you are? Did you not come here by boat? This is Neotross, Captial city of The Pantross nation. We are apart of a colony on the island of Pangea. You speak of a land I have never heard of before. Kalimdor you call it?"

The King the stands and yells to the door.

"Cap'n Renyolds!"

The guard who took your weapons comes through the door, unarmed. The King speaks to him.

"Cap'n Renyolds, your half-orc Savior comes from the land of Kalimdor. I have never heard of it. Have the best librarian search for this in the archives. He goes by the name of Google. Have him report directly to me when he finds it."

Cap'n Renyonlds leaves in a hurry.

"In the event that we can not determine how to get you home, I ask for your assistance. You are an honorable warrior. As for a reward, I will give you land. You need land, and I have land. You would be free to set up a city in the Pantross nation with our protection in exchange for your loyalty."

The king looks at Stephan and is less happy.

"Savior, your pick is powerful but you lack understanding. The abandoned fort was not abandoned by the Pantross. Why do you assume we hurt the earth?"

Quite proudly he says, "We Dwarves have long lived as one with the earth. Our people have long live inside her. We do not destroy; we change. Still, I welcome your strength to our cause."

Now looking at Acheron,

"Masked one, why so hidden? The evil creatures are the ones who attacked the city. The ones who you cut down. Also the Shifters are evil. They are savages. No civilization. No love for for the Pantross people."

El Pato steps forward and kneels before the king. "Sir, I offer my services toward the purging of the befouled fort."

Stephan

Tilting his head to the side, Stephan thinks for a few moments before responding to the king. He does not want to upset the strange Dwarven leader any further. "I will help kill bad things in fort, and say no more of other matter." Stephan then stands as erect as possible and waits for further instructions.
