And Quinn, just as the door opens, has to hurry over to check on Coralie.

"Well, I do run a bit. I don't exercise too much, though," Jamie admits. Thankfully her magical abilities burn off those cookies fairly well. *nods*

"Hello, and thank you for your hospitality." He steps inside the infirmary, and looks around, studying the primitive medical supplies.

"Where's Reinholdt?" the little girl asks.

"It's a pleasure to meet both of you. I'm Quinn Druid, but please, just call me Quinn," says Dr. Quinn, Medicne Woman, as she turns her attention back to Coralie, checking her over for any injuries. "He's right here, I think...?"

[Reinholdt]

Butler gives her hugs back! He thinks she's crazy, but she gets hugs back all the same!


"Not really. I told them to move in on the area and start doing stuff. Not sure if anyone listened or not."


"Overuse of Goddess powers. Needs rest and something for those cuts." Suspiciously catlike those. Reinholdt hands her over.


"I don't like it. Could be a trap. But we don't have anything else to go on, so that's what we need to work on. Whatever these devices are, they have to get shut down. There's a diviner in the city. Tobias, can you talk to him and see if he can't find the devices quickly? Zamira, you go help Anshu out at the Embassy. Quinn, if you can, Magtok. If anyone here has contacts with the Empire, state so now. We need to get them on it ASAP as they have the best chance of finding things quickly. I'll deal with Watchtower. Keep in touch." Reinholdt tosses out various phones. "Quinn, you use psychics to keep us connected if you can. This is our back-up. It's about time we properly co-ordinate the shutting down of one of these things."

Did Quinn miss the part where Reinholdt came to the infirmary, handed Coralie over and then directly talked to her?

Oh. Well he ended up going to Inside to see a diviner about some devices. Quinn should know that.

Reelshka follows, somewhat curiously. She wants to see how the tunnels compare to the ones Krugzim and his miners dig.

Well at first they're just through soil, and nothing special, but when they hit rock they straighten out, the walls perfectly smooth. They lead almost directly into a large hall over a bridge that appears to be there for no reason. The hall's walls are made out of solid rock, but it seems somehow... different to the rest of the rock. They have straight cracks going down at regular intervals, and it seems like they're connected to something under the hall.

At the end of the hall they pass over a bridge and see two dogs, chained up. The dwarf gives them both a quick pet.

The hallway makes a turn to the right over some square blocks that look embeded into the floor made out of some sort of red rock.

Sorry about the long walk, we're expect um... uh... wild animals to attack, yeah. Crap, she was a goblin wasn't she!? Ah well, she probably wouldn't be able to figure out the drowning hall, and the magma cannon was hidden well enough.

Reelshka nods. Digging deep is always reasonable, although I figure this place is pretty safe. The construction of the tunnel is unusual, though. Luckily for the dwarves, Reelshka isn't a miner. Krugzim would probably notice anything they're trying to hide rather quickly.

Aye, it is a bit. He confirms. The wife's the best mechanic around, and she designed this pretty much by herself. He says. Upon reaching the other end of the tunnel, Reelshka might spot the same blocks of red rock on the ground. The tunnel turns again, and there's a gap in the side where a large building, probably designed for trading sits.

Another reason is cause we didn't want to bother the humans aboveground with anything we might have wanted to build, so we needed the extra height for that.

Mara nods. "I'm not sure how good a storyteller I am, but I will tell you about them."

Sounds sensible. Back home, we dig in the mountains, so we don't tend to have anyone above us. She taps the red rock. What's that?

Oh, it's Bauxite. He says. We were quite lucky to find it, actually, it can't be melted by magma. He says, as the tunnel widens out into a large hall with a fair few workshops of varying shapes and sizes, as well as a large stockpile of barrels, as well as a few stray mushrooms.

We've basically just got dwarven beer. We've used up all the strawberries we brought with us, and we'd need to farm them above ground to get more. It's a good brew though. Made out of helmet.

Magma? You mean there's magma here?
Reelshka deadtimes as the tastes the beer, warily.

The beer should be delicious. Brewed out of fungus.

Well, deep enough there's magma anywhere. But we were lucky that there was a bit further up. It powers our furnaces with plenty to spare! He says happily. He takes a drink out of the barrel himself.

Mara nods. "I'm not sure how good a storyteller I am, but I will tell you about them."

"Oh please try." Kris grins, shuffling in a little closer and now listening very intently on Mara.

Meanwhile, Mara looks at Kris. "All right... which one would you like to hear about?"
