Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
Shard moves to point position and summons his shield, while Trunk transforms once more into Bear form, his luminescent armor once again flaring up around him and Drasil, adding further glow to the foyer.

Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
When nothing seemed to respond to their intrusion, Grimmgang nodded satisfied, waiting for Trunk and Shard to finish their preparations. He led them as close to the room with the blackscales as he dared before getting ready to charge in. "Let's roll."
Spoilerwell, I'd say move carefully up to the edge of the smaller side room in case somethings in there, then charge headfirst into the main room to catch the lizards offguard

Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
SpoilerWell I can't properly charge either of them so I'll use my pearl of power to reclaim my true strike for this battle and move 30 feet into the far left chamber towards the blackscale, in Iron Guard's Glare.
Shard tilts forward into the main large chamber, shield-face glowering at the large lizardman and goading it to attack.

Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
Daiya's lances of flame send the blackscale recoiling a step, a reaction that saves its life as it stumbles away from Grimmgang's axe. Hissing in pain and anger, it raises a claw toward Daiya, screaming "Flee!" and emphasizing the word with a coiling lash of power, then draws its club to face Grimmgang.
The other raises a fist high, calling something lilting to the wolverine before stepping forward and smashing its club down on Shard. The beast responds with a spitting rage, rushing forward with a burst of strength and cleanly snapping the chains holding it to the wall as it bears down on the crystalline warrior, undeterred by the feeble blows of Trunk and Drasil.

Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
Pinned in the corner of the room, the blackscale cannot avoid either Daiya's arrow or Grimmgang's axe, and it slumps bleeding against the wall. The other, catching the blade on its arm, shakes the blow aside angrily and swings down at an angle, pressing Shard against the wall. The frenzied wolverine turns to the side as the wooden duo's claws and teeth score its hide, jumping on Trunk in a flurry of blows.

The heavy blow connected soundly upon the crystaline being's hardened shell, a loud crack signaling a web of sharp fractures that spread out from the club's terminus.

A pulse of light flowed through the Shard, infusing the ornate sword with power...and anger, an emotion new to the nascent identity within the form. It felt hot, like molten lava flowing through the bowels of Khyber's gullet as Shard screamed a rallying cry as it bit back the demon-worshiping scaled one.

Grimmgang and Drasil score deep cuts in the wolverine's hide, and Daiya's arrow plunges between its ribs, finally bringing it to the ground in a thrashing fury.
Shard's glowing strike bites deeply into the blackscale's weapon as it brings it up in a desperate block, nearly shattering the wooden club completely, but the lizard shoves off the wall with one shoulder, wrenching its weapon free and swinging downward along the length of the blade.

Re: Eyes of the Lich Queen IC
In spite of the ugly shatter-wound marring its otherwise baroque armor, Shard continued to do what it did best...drawing enemy ire and tanking the crap out of it. The blackscale's blow deflected harmlessly from the glowing shield which floated to intercept it.
