As for any other business, a simple note was handed to the count this morning by a nondescript messenger, it read:

As per your request, only Reinholdt would know. If you wish to speak more unnecessary words, you will find me in my old room, in House Robertson.

Waking up was an exercise in itself. The night itself had been spent scouting the grounds and checking the arrangements of the surrounding houses. Jameson had only returned to his temporary lodging just before sunrise after coming to the conclusion that the fortress was simply too large for one man to keep track of. The staff is too small for such a large place. Why would the count hold such a large party?

The kitchens and cellars were not only well stocked with cured meats and fine wine, but also with grains, cheeses, herbs and spices, as well as pickled and fresh vegetables. Dressed in his more homely attire, Jameson ate his breakfast with the servants of the other nobles, absorbing the petty gossip. Nothing of use. Not even about the Matron Violetta [Lady Tialait]. Unfortunate.

    [HR][HR]
Jameson never once looked at the chits he was given, instead he pressed one at random and handed it back to an attendant. Not going to be there much in any case. "Your belongings will be moved to the house Robertson then, sir" the attendant remarked before turning and walking towards the main hall.

Jameson looked out at the nobles gearing up for the hunt ahead.
Butchers. So much meat already! How can they stand it?
After a few minutes, he realized the attendant was going to go to his room and attempt to pack his things. Jameson politely excused himself from the company of the Count and his daughter, casually strolled back into the keep, and broke into a flat-out sprint.

EDIT: Whoops, missed a line there.

Lord Benedict Anwyn stalks through the forest, keeping his eyes peeled, both for potential game, and his fellow hunters. His rifle is held at his side, ready for the moment he sees his quarry.

As he walks he muses to himself: "I wonder if Sir Ruthven Fairfax (Thufir) knows anything about the unfortunate death of Sir Vincent."

Annoyed that the only rooms that could hold up to her standards were full, she forced herself to accept House Andrews instead. The Count would see an extra tax upon his goods for this.

Sadly, House Andrews is also full now. Houses Donovan and MacDonald have rooms remaining...

Also, results to be posted within 12 hours. You have until then to get your affairs (lynch vote, hunt, house) in order if you haven't already.

    Sir Harold Ryebecker [billtothemax]

Had the end of lynch post all written up including all the hunt results, previewed it, then somehow forgot to post the damn thing.

And no, I hadn't copy/pasted it into a file. Must now reconstruct. Gaah!))

I've sent the game mechanics results of the hunt to the players affected. This is just a short list of what happened until I can reconstruct.

    Public knowledge

Reinholdt was broken (lynched) by something in the North Woods
Lady Tialait is the new Bane King/Demon Queen.
Shadowcaller is the Master of the Hunt

    The following players sustained injuries
    Aemoh, cd4, Lady Tialait, Sanity702

The following players sustained severe injuries
Cristo Meyers, Diva De, Gray Mage, Griever, Mordokai and Murska

Night is now officially begun. Day narration will replace this post once it's redone. Night actions will be taken for 48 hours; night will continue after that point as the narrators sort out everything that happens; it will last until the end of night narration is posted, ideally within 24 hours after we stop taking night actions. All actions must be PMed to Alarra, Helgraf, and RabbitHoleLost.

Belle - unconscious - is carried back to the keep by her faithful steed, Tadewi. The horse appears before the manor in a clatter of hooves. His nostrils flare, filled with the scent of his mistress' blood, eyes wide with fear. It makes it nearly impossible for any of the grooms to get near and remove the young lady. Finally, however, the gelding is calmed and led to the stables, where the blood is wiped clean and he is found to be uninjured.

Belle Smithson, however, is another matter entirely. The young lady is spirited away to her room, where a nurse tends to her. She is bathed and her injuries examined. In addition to various scrapes and bruises, Belle has sustained a blow to the back of the head, resulting in a lump and - most likely - her unconsciousness. In addition, something has caused a deep cut in her left side, as well as pulled the left arm from its socket. Pushing it back into place elicits a shriek of agony, but does not wake her.

Matron Violetta comes back, limping more heavy then usual.

    "Damn boar."

She quickly goes to her room, returning out in a wheel chair, packed in her things as sometimes the leprosy does overcome her energy.

"Where is that incessant Count? And, better yet, where is the doctor...medical doctor."

She rolled her eyes in pure annoyance, perhaps she did more, but she did have a mask on.

Niko woke up to find himself in bed in his room in House Goodfellow. Well, I'm alive at least...a plus../. He couldn't remember what had happened in the North Wood. He remembered heading out with the group, stalking through the Wood a bit, and then...not much else. Something had attacked them, that much he was reasonably sure of. Exactly what it was, no clue.

He felt like he'd been kicked by a horse, repeatedly. If the pain in his chest was any indication, he'd broken at least one rib, probably more, and he didn't need a mirror to know that his face was covered in bandages. He could only see out of one eye. Hopefully it was only covered by a hasty bandage job and not gone. Everything else was accounted for: ten fingers, ten toes. He only hoped that the others had faired better than he.

Adelheid paused, watching all of the nobles return from the hunt. She frowned to see so many hurt- it would impede the remaining events greatly, and less participation meant more unhappy guests.
This gathering could not go wrong.
    She wouldn't let it.

From the corner of her eye, she watched her father, gaging his reactions a bit, though Adelheid did gather enough courage to venture closer to those injured. Except for the Matron Violetta. The young woman stayed as far away from that repulsive woman as polite necessity allowed.

Count Phillip, after a successful hunt, headed back to the Manor, and there waited for the others to return. Althrough he didn't expect so many to come back injured. He would try to do something, but his knowledge of medicence was small enough to write on one letter, without using the back.
