[The Antigamer]

Puck mentally rolls his eyes at Lania's words, but beckons the woman over to the wererats body.

"I say, this ratty had some pretty toys. Do you have any way to check for magics? There's a rather fine chain shirt on him, a sturdy shield, and this dagger isn't too shabby once the filth is rubbed off. Like so."
He picks the dagger up, and the dirt, grime, and blood from the battle all seem to lift off the blade, the particles misting off to leave the hooked dagger sparkling like new. Puck then looks at Lania happily.

Dethir

Walking back out of the hut Dethir glances towards The Puck and Lania. "I didn't see anything worth salvaging in there, though there is relatively little fire damage."

Carefully, he attempts to lift the dead student off of the fire, asking for help if needed. At the very least he deserves more dignity than hanging over a fire.

While the other busy themselves with searching for booty, Rozalia take the time to meditate quietly. It seems some of her chosen weapons today is not best choice for raiding through the sewer.

Nothing seems to be picking up as magical until your eyes settle on the were-rat's gear. Both the chain shirt and buckler show up as faintly magical.

After hearing the results of Lania's magic, Puck slips the dagger into his belt, and slides the armor and buckler into his haversack.
Standing up and slinging it on his back, he surveys the group.
"Right-o, let's find our next student. Hopefully in a better state than this one."

Dethir

"I agree. I doubt that any other student would've made it past this animal, even had they decided to travel the same way. We should probably head back towards the Academy, at least until we find another fork we can travel down."

Double-checking his gear, Dethir ensures that he has everything as he prepares to leave.

Relic

Wrinkling his nose at the piles Relic shakes his head and glances back the way they came and then further down the way, "I think we should at least explore down this passage a little farther. It is all the same sewer, so perhaps the lad was actually coming from the other direction."

[King Tius]

Lani picks up where Relic left off... "Or perhaps the other students entered the sewers at different points. I agree we should press on." She holds her longsword up again as a source of light and takes point heading further down this sewer passage.

Finishing her short meditation, Rozalia is ready to walk off once again. She glanced at the corpse once again before turn away to catch of the group. "Wonder what kind of other creatures this city keep as pet down here"

Puck joins up with the others, answering Rozalia's question with a quip.
"You mean besides us, my dear?"

[MammonAzrael]

Dethir

"Fair enough. And it is much more likely for us to encounter other applicants if we turn back towards the Academy." With a final sad look towards the student, Dethir follows Lania down the sewer.

With a raised eyebrow he glances back at The Puck, "Pets? No, I think at this point we're more likely potential commodities, and expendable. Especially if they know about creatures like that lurking down here and send their students. Regardless, we best remain alert, as we could find ourselves with more surprises."

[Salbazier]

Rozalia shrugs her shoulder "Well we are not pets, though I dare say we will make a much better ones. I don't particularly care what those people think of us. My best guess is tools, perhaps cleaning tools in this case. Which suit me just fine, as long they pay our dues anyway."

[Admiral Squish]

As you trek through the sewers along the slimy walkway, very little looms from the darkness apart from the occasional slow rat fleeing from you and the strange, dark shapes that you don't really want to identify that float past on the slow, steady current.

The waterways branch ahead, going in three directions. The path you're turns out of sight to the right. Straight ahead, another tunnel looms in the darkness, and to the left, yet another cavern waits. Each seems basically the same, though one never knows what challenges may lie down each path.

Lania looks at the three different paths and immediately makes towards the cavern on the left.

"Another cavern? Let us see if our luck holds up."

Puck shrugs, and follows Lania. One way was as good as another when you don't know where you are.

Rozalia tarries a moment before taking a step to see around each tunnel branch

Looking carefully at the water flowing from each of the three passages, you notice first that the water from straight ahead is rather clean compared to what you've seen so far. However, the water from the right path seems to make up for it, carrying animal bones, scraps of fabric, and any number of broken things. The left path carries a number of empty bottles bobbing in the current.

Though she a bit wonder about the source of the clean water, with nothing particularly interesting visible she turns away rom the sewer to follow the group.

Some drunkards maybe?

The wizard follows along after, trying to shuffle himself away from the outside of the group, eye and ears alert.

You don't immediately notice anything other than the water flowing from straight ahead is cleaner than what you've see so far. However, your ears pick up a faint sound down the left passage, a muffled beating sound. It sounds like it's repeating regularly, though you only seem to be catching the loudest parts of it.

The marru's ears twitch and his eyes flicker as he hears the sound. He leans forward ever so slightly and tries to peer into the darkness towards the sound, whatever it may be, as he whispers to the others, "I hear something, a drum perhaps. Rhythmic beating. On your guard."

Puck claps his hands delightedly.
"Drums?! I do love a good promenade."

He turns his gaze on Puck and if looks could kill, or he were a more powerful wizard, the puppet-man would surely be aflame.

Dethir

Nodding at Relic's comment, Dethir follows along behind Lania. "Yes, I here it too. And given the debris in the water, Puck, I don't think this is any sort of party you would enjoy. We should make our approach cautiously, quietly."

Puck gives an exaggerated frown, and begins to move in a more stealthy manner.

As you move along, the sound of the drumming grows slightly louder. Further on along the path, you see a pile of empty bottles strewn across the stone walkway haphazardly, some still rolling across the path in a slow arc. Further down the passage, there's a ladder to the surface set into the wall and as you get closer, your realize what you thought was just a bad patch of stone is actually a tunnel about a foot off the ground.

The tunnel itself is about a foot and a half in diameter, with rough sides that look like they've been smoothed over time. Looking in, the tunnel is completely unlit and it only goes about five feet into the tunnel wall before it makes a swift downward turn. The sound of drums is clearly coming from the hole, however.

Puck leans down and picks up a bottle while the others examine the hole, examining it as he straightens, looking to see if there's any evidence of what it contained.

The bottle is dirty and the label is slightly worn, but holding it up you can make out 'Drakenbrew: Golden Ale' written in draconic characters on the bottle, surrounding an illustration of a draconic silhouette colored gold. Around your feet you can see a number of similar labels on the bottles, though the color of the draconic silhouette varies. Here's a red, there a black...
