eek Unwound Dreams - A Campaign Setting for Call of Cthulhu

    Spoiler
    Show
Unwound Dreams is a non-standard campaign setting for Call of Cthulhu RPG inspired by the works of Neil Gaiman, Joseph Vargo, and Terry Pratchett. Instead of taking the roles of adult investigators the playere take the roles of children who have become involved in supernatral events beyond their comprehension or control. They venture into other worlds, meet strange entities, drive away ghosts, outwit monsters posing as their parents, overcome obstacles, unravel mysteries, dabble in magic, or whatever else the Keeper can think of. The game doesn't take place in the traditional Lovecraft universe but in a setting based mainly on Neil Gaiman's books Coraline and The Graveyard Book.
The setting is meant for adults and children alike; acting as both a fresh new setting for grown-up players and a gateway into Call of Cthulhu for children as young as nine.

    Rules Changes
Since Unwound Dreams focuses more on intrigue and mysticism rather than horror, so combat is a little less gritty and there is less chance of the characters actually dieing. Insanity, fear, and imprisonment being much more prevalent threats than actual death.
There is also less direct combat; instead of shooting and stabbing things, Unwound Dreams encourages solving problems with wits and creativity.

EDIT: Sorry, I posted this in the wrong place. I kindly ask the mods to move it.
