He raises a good point, guys. You are going after the player, in what I must say is a fairly mean-spirited attack, for the actions of the character.

Honestly? I'm wondering at what point all of you decided that it would be a good idea to engage in groupthink bullying.

Yeah, the issue here is that, from experience, Maxios (the character) tended to really dumb things while you told us OOC that he was really smart. It was just so silly and absurd, that of course we're going to to start developing opinions of the character that you don't like!

But the problem is, as has been mentioned, that you've been telling us your character is one thing, but IC we haven't seen any evidence of it. This results in hilarity.

Granted, I was ten when I was like that, but hey. Some people have the DM brutally murder their characters earlier than others.

Calm down, Maxios, most of us were just under the impression that it was light, good-natured badgering. At least one person said they were trying to help you out, even. As soon as you said you were getting angry, people tried to explain that they weren't meaning to upset you.

Edit: Will second the notion that I found the character hilarious, and it was only aided by the OOC notions that the character was some sort of mastermind. I found this hilarious - I did not mean to insult the actual player.

Maxios isn't invicible. He's been beaten a lot of times, by the Beast, by AMEN, by Mercury, etc

I'm sure Maxios-the-player is a pretty cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything.

However, the actions he undertakes in FFRP are not quite suited to a Pretty Cool Guy. Which is why I have not been taking shots at the person, only the actions taken by him.

Really, it's the fact that most constructive criticism seems to have been ignored time and time again.

To be perfectly honest, Maxios, your same-named character could be wonderful as a silly funtimes broski.

That, and, um... you sort of keep doing things wrong and we tell you 'cause we want you to do things right. 'Cause that'd be jazzy.

Most of the time, people were trying to help you out by pointing out what you were doing wrong, but you just... kept insisting you were doing it right. That's why it escalated. Also, people aren't going to stop doing something if they don't know it actually offends you, because otherwise how do they know? Just take a breath and relax!
