Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't even have a card. It's a chipset. Intel 5, I believe.

That, and the problem isn't even lag or anything. It won't start up, which makes me think it's rather beyond help.

I'm not sure;

I've had good luck playing with my friend Kirby,but when worbat tried to join he DC'd constantly

not sure whether that means british have bad internet or whether 2 player is more stable or what

Now, GalCiv2 planets have ranks. Quality, if you will. 4 is mars-like (you can live there but would prefer not to), 10 is earth-like, and 16, as the example given in the manual, is pretty incredible.
