[Nexus] GLoG 64: Campsites, not Chessboards!

"I guess so. This is where we were told it was. He did say it was a bunch of cabins. Hopefully someone here can help us." Ana smiles at Ember, before beginning to really take in the surroundings for herself.

Ember nods and walks around the center of the campsite, jumping at even the slightest sound.

"How do ye do, lassies? Welcome to GLoG," says the ghost dwarf Ironbeard. Who will no doubt frighten both Ana and Ember.

"PLEASEDON'TKILLMEEEE-E-HEEE!" Ember leaps back and runs off towards Ana, screaming.

If by frighten you mean scare the beejebuz out of then yes.

Ana is certainly startled by the sudden appearance of the ghost, and rather horrified to be talking to a ghost. But tries not to show it.
"Huh, so we are at GloG, great. We were told to come to you guys for help, because our house was blown up."

Unlike Ember who is by now probably hiding behind Ana. Ana seems to be fairly resolute, or at least made of sterner stuff.

"I won't hurt ye, lassies! Don't be afraightened!" Ironbeard puts up his hands. "Of course we can help. We have visitor's cabins and a kitchen in the Main Lodge. Or if anyone is hurt, there's the infirmary. My name's Ironbeard."

"Ah well, that is good."

Primarily since as a ghost she has no idea how she'd defend herself against him.

"So visitors cabins. That would be lovely that you very much."

She seems to have recovered a bit from the whole ghost thing.

"And I'm Ana and my Friend here is Ember. We're grateful for your help Mr. Ironbeard."

Ember is hiding behind one of the cabins, breathing heavily and sobbing.

Ironbeard takes off his had. "Ma'am, tell your friend I'm sorry for frightening her." And after pointing the directions to the visitor's cabin, he poofs.

Ember may well hear a voice behind her. "Hey, what's the matter?"

The voice sounds... calming.

[celtois]

"Yeah I'll do that. Thank you for your help." Ana is now going to go back to check on Ember.

"Ember? It's alright. The ghost is gone and we've got a temporary place to stay"
And will likely run into Horngeeks character. But not literally.

"Nopleasedon't!" Ember jumpsand turns, holding her hands in front of her face, "I don't want to die like they did!"

"Ember it's fine. Alex is dead. Your safe. We're safe."

Ana will turn to the person who spooked Ember. "We've had a bit of a tough day, I don't know if your going to be able to help much while she is still freaked out." Understatement of the year

Brianna Corcoran looks at Ember. "Shhhh... no one's going to hurt you, all right? This place is safe."

Ember turns and clings (attempts to, at least) to Ana for safety, bawling her pour little eyes out.
She tried to aquaint herself with the world outside the temple she'd been trapped in, and two people had tried to kill her, and one had killed her sisters.
"Please don't let them hurt me..."

Brianna looks on in sympathy. "No one's going to. My name's Brianna."

[celtois]

Ana is clung too. She really wasn't used to the big sisterly role. But she was trying her best. "Don't worry Ember nobody here is going to hurt you, and if any of them try. I'm here to stop them and believe me I will stop them. We're safe for now." Ana will try and gently stroke Embers hair trying to calm her down

"Well Brianna I'm Ana and this is Ember."

Ember sniffles, nods, and turns to Brianna.
"Sorry...I'm Ember. Goddess of fire, vigor, and love."

"I'm Brianna Corcoran, daughter of the Goddess Brigid of the Tuatha de Dannan. Pleased to meet ye."

And once again Ana is the only mortal human being in the room. Heck she didn't even have a last name worth speaking of because her parents were jerks.

"Hi..."

Ana will just stand their kind of awkwardly acting as a safety net for Ember

Anchor laughs. "Pleased to meet you too! You catch on quickly. Good. What is it you do here, Mathias?"

"I'm basically just a handyman, you know, fixing things around the site. But so far nothing's broken, so I don't have much to do."

[Morty]

Brinika and Reelshka both undeadtime. They seem to be making a snowman. A rather small one.

Claire is next to the goblins building a snow-Quinn.

[Morty]

Reelshka leaves Brinika to build the snowman by herself for a while and approaches Claire. Um, Claire? Why does this snowman look a bit like Quinn?

Zanny nods.

"I suppose."

He takes up his lyre once more and begins trilling on songs that manipulate light and color, basic visuals and whatnot.

Nancy practices after him with her voice, thought Zanny might notice that while she doesn't lack talent in singing, she does lack talent in the social part of being a bard.

Bards do need to be social right? Or is magical enchantments enough?

She does. That's very nice of you. Do you need help? I could assist you once Brinika and I are done with out snowman. Reelshka doesn't pick up any second meaning to what Claire is saying.

Zanny does note that.

But its no big deal. Social talents are not at all required to do music magic. In fact, being a bard usually helps develop social skills instead of the other way around.
