[Nexus] GLoG 64: Campsites, not Chessboards!

Reinholdt manages to wake up and goes over the things he needs to do today. Talk to Quinn, Talk to Tony, Make a Phone Call, Resume Treasure Hunting with Ermine, and... he thinks that's it.

He rolls out of bed and after taking care of basic necessities, heads towards the Infirmary.

"I don't think it got too good a hold on Darcy. At least, I hope it didn't."

Zanny looks a bit worried for a second, before giving a shrug and a smile.

"I'm sure I can help her or get rid of the thing if it becomes a problem, though."

[Shadowcaller]

"Yeah but... I don't want to worry you, but what if she don't want to get rid of it? The only reason you got it out of me was because I was knocked out you know?" Nancy replies.

"Can't you contact her in some way? Just to know she's okay?" Despite her first words, Nancy does get a thrill of worrying Zanny, nothing she really wants. But she can't help her urges.

"I can locate her if she says my name and wants me to come..."

Zanny looks slightly perturbed, though. But he calms his fears with the thought that if Darcy was under the influence of a lust demon, there's no reason she wouldn't want to see him.

"She's visiting relatives. She'll be fine, I'm sure..."

Still a hint of uneasiness in his voice.

[Reinholdt]

"Oh hey. Zanny... and Nancy, was it?" Reinholdt waves at them.

Unless they're hiding in the shadows for whatever reason.

He figures he ought to at least tell Nancy the news.

Oh, they are standing out in the open.

"I hope so, she saved my life after all." Nancy replies to Zanny as Reinholdt walks up to them.

"Yes, thats the name. Whatever your name was again." She replies to him, actually having forgotten Reinholdt's name by now.

"Oh, you took the idol right?"

Hey, Zanny, didn't Darcy say she'd probably be back today?

Yeah, I think she did. Wonder what's keeping her?

A GLoG drone floats after Reinholdt.

"Oh, hey Reinholdt."

Zanny nods to Reinholdt. I have no clue what form the bard met him in, but Zanny can recognize him if he's in the other with spoooky bard magic. Easier this way. >.>

"He did?"


She did? Zanny's a bit more worried, then.

I dunno. All I know is that Zanny was in bard form when Reinholdt met him.

"Reinholdt, Treasure Hunter Extraordinaire. And I did. I managed to destroy the idol and release the spirit inside to her final resting place." Pfft. You didn't do anything but run around like a chicken without his head. Angela and Jack did all the work.

"You needn't worry about it anymore."

The drone just floats. Watching Reinholdt with it's giant red eye.

Reelshka undeadtimes, trying to examine a GLoG drone. And making a firm decision never to let Grimzig or any of his fellow engineers anywhere near the campsite.

"...oh." Nancy says surprised, not actually sure how she is supposed to react towards that.
She scratches the back of her head nervously, it was gone, her last link to the dancer.

"I suppose I should thank you Reinholdt... but I'm not exactly sure how. I just feel... confused right now. But why did you do it? I have nothing to give you, Zanny can tell you that." She nods towards the bard beside her.

"You... Destroyed it?"

Zanny blinks. Hm. He really hadn't paid much attention to the idol or its power, even after going through that revolting place to get it. It's probably for the best, if there was something trapped inside it, but the ever-present dragon part of him can't help but feeling a bit of frustration at the thing's destruction.

"Was it the thing causing the fleshy growths and darkness, then?"

He gives the drone a wary look. He knows about all the super technology available in the Nexus, but never got on proper terms with this artificial and non-magical life.

Hey, Reinholdt's not exactly the most ecstatic about it either. He had to destroy an artifact. He collects artifacts.

"It was indeed responsible. And I'm not asking for anything in return."

Reinholdt turns to look at the drone.
