Did this up after reading/watching the current turn of events in Homestuck:

For some reason everytime I try to change the eyes they end up looking wrong, probably because OotS doesn't use pupils; that, and before she had glasses to frame the eyes, and now she isn't wearing any. I pretty much got tired of unibrows everywhere, so I'm trying out individual eyebrows. The wings are actually angled (or are supposed to look like they are) so they aren't sticking straight out behind her, or directly to the sides (mostly for avatar space savin' on the smaller version >.>).

yes, i might just be a little obsessed.

That is awesome. Also, you work fast.

Now, the eyes are somewhat, well, I don't really know. Vriska doesn't work especially well without her googly eye, but pupils are tricky to do with the OotS style. I don't really know what to say about that...

The individual eyebrows are interesting, but won't they sort of disappear when you reduce it in size?

    Thanks

Reduced in size, you can still see the eyebrows:

I had to muck around with thickness (these are actual objects, not lines) and such to make sure they showed up in the smaller version.

    The feeets feel weird.
You have everything really detailled and appearing lineless (that is to say that he line work while here appears as part of the object rether than outlining it), with blue and black. And there you have those palin red with apparent thick black lines boots. They kind of stick out like a sore thumb (the right one particulary, her right that is).
Fashion Aside (Kanaya I'm not) the trouble I see is that they look like they are on a different plan that the rest of the avatar (like on the foreground.)
Maybe a darker shade of red would fit better ?

Though, I am testing out lineless boots too. They do feel out of place with their thick outlines.

Edit: Unlined boots and horns, do they look any better?

Personally, I like the lined versions better. Especially the horns work better with them, I'd say. Gives them a nice frame.

Horns can go both way .(I personlay like them better unlines but that's a minor difference, probably because the balck line was rather unoticable on the black/dark blue colors of the hair and wings.)

But boots definitively look better that way, unlined and shaded.

He occasionally uses shading - the two STRIFE pages use shading on both, and there are probably more than that (they were the two I happened to recall off the top of my head).

Well, those actually stood out from the rest a bit, but you're right (and I don't actually find it as bad as I may have made it out to be). However, he still didn't shade the shoes/boots.

Looks very nice. Though the left hand seems a bit odd on the second image. I would guess that's because the fabric doesn't lend itself to showing where the arm is.

I always thought that Dwarf Fortress dorfs and angry marines would mix well.

On another note, I think I will make my avatars in more of a keychain-of-creation style than straight OOTS, but it doesn't show in this work.

Nice. And yes, they mix really well. Indeed, dwarfs in power armor is any Fortressists' wet dream. Try to separate the eyes from the beard a bit, though. It's hard to make out his expression.

Also, since some changes to the forum, your avatar must be within the size of 120x120 px, or they'll only show the upper right corner.

The hammer looks weird (as in a weird angle) and the codpiece looks too flat. But overall, looks pretty good. Try improving the lines though.

I think the main problem with the Hammer is the color. Its a bit to green and shinie. Shouldn't make it in two different files. And I'm not good with the positions. What do you mean with impoving making them thicker?
