"no thanks. I don't take drinks from strangers. they're spiked half of the time"

"Spiked ma'am? Why would spikes be in your drink ma'am? And we're not strangers ma'am. We've already introduced ourselves ma'am."
Seriously... spikes in drinks? That's crazy!

Butler frowns. "But why would anyone do that ma'am?"

"I guess I understand ma'am." He says in such a way that implies he hasn't a clue.

"So you're a priestess ma'am?" Butler hasn't been to church lately, but he's been to heaven recently. Ish.

The monkey moves over to Jared and says: "Sorry about attacking you. I don't take kindly to people insulting me." He points to Jared's Magikarp So, what's that?

[Reinholdt]

Butler takes notice.
"You don't like being a priestess ma'am?" He asks.

Jared just stares at the monkey blankly... again.

"You're talking." A keen observation, Jared.

Oh man. Someone must have spiked his drink and he's drugged up in the trunk of someone's car somewhere.

He plays along though. "Er, he's my friend, Mr. Fish. He's a magikarp."

[Recaiden]

Purely to add to his confusion, a siamese cat that had been curled in the corner comes up to Jared. "Do you not see many talking monkeys?" It asks in a high voice.

The monkey responds to Jared"Oh. What does it do? And yes, I am talking."

Butler takes notice.
"You don't like being a priestess ma'am?" He asks.

"I'm having my doubts if it was the right path to choose..."

Jared looks back and forth between the two talking animals. "I, er. No. And what's a monkey?" Silly pokemon universe not having normal animals.

To answer the monkey's question, Mr. Fish splashes in his little puddle of water. "He does that. And he's not an it, he's a he. Mr. Fish."

"Oh, I see ma'am. Do you no longer believe in the diet and her teachings ma'am?" Butler looks sad. Cause it is kinda sad!

To answer the monkey's question, Mr. Fish splashes in his little puddle of water. "He does that. And he's not an it, he's a he. Mr. Fish."

"I see. And I am a monkey. Well, a ninja monkey cleric of Banjulhu, that is."

"...i never believed in her. I know she exists...but I only took up priesthood, because my wife was a paladin of the same goddess when she was still here..."

[Reinholdt]

"Well if you only became a priestess to make someone else happy and that person is no longer there and it doesn't make you happy you probably should stop being one ma'am. Being nice to people is important ma'am, but you shouldn't sacrifice your own happiness for it ma'am."

[Recaiden]

"He is. Oh, you're new, and...you have a magikarp?" The walks over to the fish with much interest.

"well...I only did it because I missed her...she was already gone..." Din is trying to keep her tears back "...I think I need a drink"

[Reinholdt]

"I'm sorry ma'am."
Butler orders her a drink anyways.

"But I know for a fact, you'll see her again ma'am!"

she shakes her head, and downs the drink in one "I won't...she's gone...she can't come back"

[Gullara]

Another blank stare for the monkey from Jared. "Cool." He never understood a word.

"Yep." He replies to the cat. "He's my best friend in the world."

Magikarp, unaware of the danger a cat poses, splashes in his puddle again.

[Recaiden]

"And I thought Exalted were something...do you suppose every fictional world is real here? And it's the only pokemon with you, of course."

[Lemonus]

"Ummmmm... You might want to keep that cat away from Mr. Fish." The monkey warns Jared. "And don't Magikarps turn into something better? I think I read about them somewhere."

[Gullara]

Jared scratches his stubble. Fictional world?

"Yep, just Mr. Fish. It's me and him versus the world. We got a great fighting technique worked out."

He looks at the cat again. "Turn into something better? I'm not sure. Maybe."

[Lemonus]

"Would you like to test out that fighting technique? I'll go easy on you, maybe give you a few pointers."

[Recaiden]

"Like a Gyrados. And I'm not going to eat is. Gosh." The cat walks off into deadtime, offended.

[Gullara]

"Gyarados? Yeah that sounds right. Never seen one before though." Jared shrugs, unconcerned.

"Alright." Jared replies to the monkey. "You have a pokemon?"
