Layla walked back to where everyone was. Her face wasn't as red as before, but she kept her hood up, the shadow of it hung over her face, in hopes that it was stop everyone-mostly Tinsley and Elizabeth-from noticing it.

She listens to Icarus play the wooden flute as she sets up her tent. Once its set she enters it, without saying a word to anyone.

Walking away from the camp Naktem left the camp to sit next to the slowly dying bone fire that was all that remained of the foes today. Staring at the fire Naktem's expression slowly changed from that of maniac glee, to a more cold expression. With a soft snort he slammed his axe into the ground and laid back into the ground, staring into the clouded night.

As the bonfires slowly died Naktem stuck his hand deep into the fire, and after holding it there for a few heartbeats he rips his hand out and stares at the burned flesh. Laughing slightly he wraps his hand in bandages and walks back to camp.

[Illven]

The letter the prince had received detailed the horrific attack by Quamdrom's forces passed the border. The army seemed to be making sure that even if the prince was returned home, he would have no castle to return to.

The enemy out numbers us a great deal. Careful planning will be required here. The forts, allies will come to our aid, but if taken by the enemies, their forces will be further bolstered. If the enemy leader dies early, the endless surge will slow or even stop, but even that may not be enough to insure victory.

Objectives

Defend Arket for 20 turns.
Kill enemy boss.

Dunno. I wanted Jodas to take Luc and start sweeping the myrms, but her speed is absolute garbage, and her def isn't as high as I would like. Then take into consideration that her luck is low, and... Luc would have done a decent job, but then he's away from Layla, and he's not there to wall for the main party. And he's now one of the best walls in the party. Combat-capable, that is. Elizabeth doesn't exactly have the best combat capabilities, even with the Drain staff.

Green Knights 2,3,5, and 6 are in all likelihood dead by next turn (6 could survive an extra turn if the Fighter misses, but unlikely due to weapon Triangle). I still think Tinsley's the best bet for the Fighters (and the only ones lower level than him are Stein and Abiy). The Myrmidon boss might be trouble, but he'll only be attacking once since he and Tinsley have the same speed by the looks of things, and Tinsley's getting at least 1 level up before then. I'd Icarus with him as support and ferry.

Tinsley has five move. Luc has six. Just throwing that out there.

There were enemies as far as he could see. Angry red banners buzzed about the horizon like a swarm of infuriated bees and, suddenly, his mouth was as dry as a wine cask at a post-battle celebratory event.

This was combat on a ridiculous scale. There were at least six seperate squads of enemy combatants and all they had to back them up were some scattered individuals that, he fully expected, would die for no real tactical advantage beyond slowing the enemy for a few seconds. Minutes, given a generous estimate. They weren't even holding any advantageous terrain to help skew the odds back into their favor. It was like watching a, using the term loosely, 'fight' between an armed gang and a cripple.

His allies? That butcher was probably having the time of his life. The others - planning something? That would be fantastic. Planning was something that nobles were good at. Personally? He'd never been the greatest at plans beyond 'hit them from both sides' and 'hole up in that building so that we have some cover'. In a way, he supposed that this was a stroke of luck.


Anyone have a plan?

If not, he'd just have to grit his teeth and try to not die. Get to the castle first. Everything else? Later.
