She sighs.

Din sighs, sitting down "...what the heck is wrong with me?"

She sighs and pats her back.

Tower

Xifra, wincing in pain, turns her shield over to use as a scrying pool again. She wants to see what becomes of the battle in the sewers, and pours a bit of water into the shield. Her wounds cry out for attention, and she wants to get out of her filthy clothes, but her recent lessons allow her to block off that part of her mind for now, and call up the magic she needs to create the spell.

Given she's ignoring it, Xifra might well find her wounds bandaged by the time she's done scrying.

SBX... probably goes and knocks on Jack's study door, if that's successful. He's met by an irritable wizard. Of course, the robot sets about explaining.

"What now? Hurt? Just... take care of it." The warded man gives his apprentice a look.

[Brendan's House]

A Conestoga wagon pulls up in front of the residence, and a faintly smiling woman unlocks the door for the group of dour folks bearing a coffin inside. They hang back at a safe distance, on account of all the fire. Even if it won't burn them (or so they were assured) and they are 'one of them', it's just not right.

There's a note on the counter addressed to Ashna!
Brendan isn't present at the moment.

She'll go up and read it, of course, a flicker of disappointment theoretically visible in her expression.

It says: 'Headed to Trog's. Back soon if you're not there.'


'Soon' might actually be 'next post'. Since he's walking up to the building right now.

Might not be, as Recaiden is tragically going to deadtime. But will try to maybe post some again. 'Night.

She doesn't want to scry on the Far Beast, but on the Objects. She does something similar to putting up a screen to block the sun so that she can see the rest of the scene without blinding herself. "The thing that bit me was hurt worse than I was, I think."

Thruaill (though I'll have to go off to eat... soon) pats her back and sighs.

Din stares at her hands. she sighs "...it'll be a lot harder killing myself now..."

"My weapon worked," Xifra says, very pleased with herself as she watches the scrying pool, trying to look around (not through) Zee's divination baffle. She doesn't want to scry on the Far Beast, but on the Objects. She does something similar to putting up a screen to block the sun so that she can see the rest of the scene without blinding herself. "The thing that bit me was hurt worse than I was, I think."

"What're you looking at, girl? And what weapon?" A pause. "Been out snooping for Objects again, I assume."

[Beans]

Din stares at her hands. she sighs "...it'll be a lot harder killing myself now..."

So, like... don't?

"What're you looking at, girl? And what weapon?" A pause. "Been out snooping for Objects again, I assume."

I scried some Objects that were unattended. A few other people did as well. When one of them attacked me, the Cruelty weapon worked. Made the thing angry enough to bite and fling me, as if I were poison. I'm not going to try and go back, I just want to see what ends up happening to the Objects."

"Objects as a weapon... this has possibilities. Where'd this happen?" Jack looks over her shoulder, trying to see what's going on in the sewers.

Xifra explains about the encounter in the sewer. She recognized Kirk and Raril, but not Zee. She did get a good enough view to guess which ones they are, and she also describes the bit of Flux Slime that she kicked.

"Interesting." Jack says, trying to see what's going on in the scrying pool.
