"Good." Yochanan says, and in his first real movement, reaches a hand forward to tentatively rest it on Xifra's head. "Why? Why not? We obey and we gain power. We rise through the ranks. Perhaps rule the church, one day."

[Jasper's Apartment]

Jasper doesn't say anything, he just kisses Legion on the neck and cheeks, his own hand moving to her side. After a few minutes, he'll release Legion and start to climb out of bed, giving her one last kiss on the lips. Unless she stops him of course.

"Jack doesn't obey well." Xifra says, turning her head to softly kiss his leg. "Don't let him hurt Salome again. I've never had anyone... like that before." she pleads.

Jack's Tower

"I'll do my best to be a voice of reason." Yochanan says, his shifting hand gently stroking Xifra's head. Akin to the way one would stroke a pet. "Does something else trouble you? Besides the obvious?"
Jasper's Apartment

Legion will likely hop up with him and help him get dressed, if allowed.

Jasper certainly won't stop her, and will help her get dressed in turn. So, shall we go for that ride now, or would you rather return to boring old AMEN? He says, smiling.

"I want to mean something to you." Xifra confesses, nuzzling against his hand as he pets her.

Jasper's Apartment

Legion likely gets help with her bra-hook, looking decidedly awkward as she's never had or given help like this before, and turns to smile at Jasper. "I think I should probably check back at AMEN. See what's goin' on. Maybe... maybe tomorrow? And you could help get my stuff moved in?"

Jack's Tower

"Mean something. Define this." Yochanan says, tone never changing from neutral. Though his hand hesitates when she starts nuzzling again.

[Jasper's Apartment]

Sure. Anything you want. Jasper says, still smiling happily. He'll wait until she's finished dressing, then attempt to place an arm over her shoulders and teleport them both to AMEN.

Xifra stops her nuzzling, and sinply rests her head against him. "It doesn't matter. I am yours, just as Jack is yours. That... it's not nothing. I'm not Nobody."

Jack's Tower

"Certainly not. Your magical skill is considerable." Yochanan intones, his hand hesitating before stroking Xifra's hair again.

"Is that all I am to you?" Xifra asks sadly. "Do you like me, Yochanan? Would you miss me if I was gone? Do you like seeing me happy? What is it that draws you to humans if you can't feel those things?"

"OHDEARSTUFFNEVER," Phil's eyes widen at the very thought!

Erin grins at Phil's reaction and expression. "Well, then, things will be just fine, I think."

Phil and his robots scurry about, erecting a variety of strange looking chambers and harnesses and actually organizing things for once.

Sigwhite, in the meantime, is taking a nap on the windowsill in his wizard form.

Erin, meanwhile, heads off to change into her Lab Assistant's Uniform!
Returning a few minutes later...

Phil, in the middle of stripping off his jumpsuit, looks up and eyes Erin from head to toe.
"Hello, Nurse!"

Erin grins, tilting a leg and putting her hand on her hip just so.
"So. I take it my outfit meets with approval by the Head Spark What's In Charge, then?"

"YES. I need to get a stamp or something... It's a shame I won't be able to see for the next few hours, possibly days depending on how much Sigwhite here contributes."
Sigwhite makes a rude gesture with his hand.
"Feh."

"Guess you'll have to imagine, then," Erin says with a saucy grin as she walks over to Phil. "So how can I help?"

"If you could load the fusion spring wiring into the threader, that'd be nice," Phil is busy sitting very still so that a surgery drone get can a preliminary vitals check.
The threader looks like a small crane tipped with a large needle and is stuck to the side of the large cylinder everything is being attached to or loaded into, and has several canisters of thick, bronze colored wires near it.

Phil's

"Fusion spring wiring into threader, check," Erin says, heading over to the wires and selecting one (assuming they're all the same), and sets about the loading process.

Yep. You pretty much just take them out of the canisters and slide them into the threader.

There is a strange squelching sound from the main chamber of the 'upgrade complex', and the entire inside fills up with a strange, hot glue colored steaming liquid with the sheen of snot and the viscosity of half-done gelatin. Shivering in his nekkidness, Phil climbs up the steps to the chamber, turns about, takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, and falls back into the chamber, the strange goop hiding him entirely.

And so that's what Erin does!
Watching the goo with a mixture of disgust and intriguedness...

And she takes a seat nearby. To wait.

The door to the chamber slides shut, and a vast array of screens on the side turn on, revealing every little detail, visual, physical, magical, and mathematical, to anyone who can read them right.

According the readouts, Phil is currently submersed in a disinfectant/catalyzing agent/nerve signal retardant/AND MORE! meant to provide a perfect, clean, balanced environment for the surgery that will speed up the healing process exponentially while all but stopping nerve signals and pretty much shutting Phil down. The chamber is prepping Phil's head for the installation of a device that will allow oxygen and other such things to reach Phil's brain if it's the only damn thing left of him.

Erin's eyes cross, and she decides that 'process working as advertised' is all she really needs to know. And she pulls out a book of Sudoku puzzles!

"Is that all I am to you?" Xifra asks sadly. "Do you like me, Yochanan? Would you miss me if I was gone? Do you like seeing me happy? What is it that draws you to humans if you can't feel those things?"

"Xifra, you ask too much of me." Yochanan says, a little disquieted. He shifts his face to look at her without eyes. "First: let me ask you something. Why do you care?" He chuckles. "I'm a... thing. Even I don't know. I am the farthest thing from human you can get. Why do you care what I think and feel?"

"Because I wanted all my life for Algu to love me, and I don't want to become to you and Jack what I was to him," Xifra says, some bitterness in her voice. "Because even if it's stupid and hopeless, a human will love. Tell me, Yochanan, if that's too much to ask, then what can I ask of you?"

Over the next few hours, the various lights turn on and off, screens show bewildering amounts of changing data. Every once in a while, Sigwhite gets up and presses a few buttons, then goes back to his nap.

The robots wait anxiously, staring at the chamber.

And Erin dozes off after awhile, looking rather fetching as she dozes, the bewildering data having put her to sleep!

The process continues for about two days, Sigwhite helping speed a process that could take years along with his magic, when finally...
DING. FRIES ARE DONE.

A small slot opens up in the chamber and a basket full of every variety of fry you could think of pops out. The robots cheer in unison.
