The facilitator answers each of your questions in turn. It turns out that Erebor is a dwarven marquis from a distant city. He was fleeing some internal political troubles back home, and set himself up as a merchant in this city, whose noble blood affords him a certain advantage. He has inside contacts with the nobility because of this, and disdains from joining the merchant guild, which earns him a lot of hostility from them. His record is impeccable, and his latest assassin from the Flint served him two years before a better contract beckoned him on.

well, that's cool but I am having to spin all these plots from my one head. Do be kind to your poor dm and don't try to make me come up with too many plot hooks you're not gonna accept. I don't mind using this as a sounding board, though, for other possible plots in this game for other pc's. I'll cut you off (sunset) when I begin to run out of ideas.

Tell you what, feel free to use any hooks for others. To make it easier for you lets say I have time to visit and discuss with 10 individual facilitators. To save you from having to come with 10 hooks though just give me only another 2 assuming Ishmael fails the tests of 4 and is not interested for 4 more and just wastes time in a similar, polite yet inquisitive as oppossed to stupid way.

The 2 hooks you can describe me could be from one more noble client (not necessarily major noble but nobility never the less) and from a merchant/aristocrat.

So at the end of the day I will have spent more than 5 hours here (those 10 can be about 30+ minutes each) plus the time to actually get in and the time with the first one plus the initial Gather Info in the morning should be enough to bring me to sunset I guess. And I will have 3 options to choose from... the dwarven marquee and two more and save you from the trouble of making up all those cases!

In the meantime off course I may actually get this from 5% chance so then things change.

Up to you what of the above you want me to RP and what you want to narrate. My only "request" is that I have some time before sunset to prepare so I time it like this wasting some more time reading names etc.

let's go ahead and do at least an abbreviated bit of rp with each of the 10. Don't worry, I know how to ensure that you fail four of them after wasting a good bit of time.

She dismisses you and your next door beckons. The name on it is Georg Romani.

A soft knock followed by the door opening as Ishmael takes a step inside and looks around the room.

"Good day"

"Name and skills, please" A very similar voice said.

Hiding his irritation the young skulk recited.

"Ishmael. Ishmael QueeqQueg should the full name be necessary. I do not go for the open slaughter but rather for clandestine problem solving. It can be brutal if you wish but each target eliminated has a price tag and I dont do passer-bys or randoms. Other than that I pride myself to be on the far side of almost completely invisible without actually using magic."

"Doctor Romani has requested that his potential employees give the best answer to this question: 'When is your left hand?' "

"I am sorry. The correct answer is 'only a deranged lunatic cares'. Or something to that effect. I was given specific instructions to not give you his address if your answer was not that."

Ishmael laughed momentarily.

"Well that is what I was thinking but in our line of business some times you have to work with lunatics! In any case, thank you for your consideration. Good day" he said as he walked outside and proceeded to one of the other doors.

The one beyond that, though, is labeled "Yomei Hordukka". The voice inside sounds eerily like the others you've heard. it says, "Please state your name and qualifications for this job."

Once again for a moment his heart skips seeing the woman but again it is not his intended target.

He walks further in looking at the woman more carefully.

"What is the request then m'lady? I would be happy to oblige".

"She requires that you speak a line of orc poetry in Orc. She does not care what you say."

Ishmael rises an eyebrow and pretended to do so in reality using a random collection of phrases he has heard more from his study of the language of the Underdark than of actual Orcs, some basic phrases indeed are Orc but nothing really concrete.

Ishmael was once again suprised. This place was one novelty after the other. Each employer seemed to try and find hillarious ways to reduce the number of people they interviewed!

"Yes. Could you give me some more information on her? What she does and who she works for as well as her status in the city. Does she hold any official positions and has she ever been suspected of using assassins to get her way? And any other general info that you may be allowed to pass onto me before I decide"

BEFORE the sole remaining member went mad? Powerful enough to have attracted an enemy powerful enough to come under direct attack from a highly unusual undead. Now? it's a crumbling remnant of wealth. Hopefully for the poor woman, she'll manage to die before the last of her money disappears and she becomes a homeless beggar. For now, she still has quite an income coming in, at least until she most likely throws it away in some mad venture. You can't remember exactly, but you think that name is connected somehow to the local university.

Oh that makes things more interesting... it could mean doing a favour for an alumni or something... it sounds pretty damn difficult to follow the orders of a crazy person but perhaps she just wants whoever sent the allip after her dead!

"Well somewhat. I admit I have failed some of the strange requests the employers put in this place but nevertheless I believe I can fit some jobs more than others. So my qualifications. I have been trained by a highly specialised guild of assassins and taught techniques that allow me to blend in most environemnts. I do not possess magical means but I can sneak in and out of most places with relative ease and that affords the opportunity of terminating a target without having to actually fight them. I do not do innocents and randoms unless that has been specified as part of the contract from before hand."
