Deciding that sneaking into the Nobles district and making a reservation is not second, third or most likely anything but engagement material Ishmael thanks the guard and apologises for bothering him and heads to the east market. Like before it does not take him long to start walking on his usual pace, the already dark sky covering his movements until he arrives at the provided address in the East Market.

I know it may not be necessary but it feeds his paranoia and also I love seeing those high numbers :D

Like he had planned to do for the restaurant he surveys the area and the roads and alleys around the house checking for possible escape routes and options, back doors, forgotten ladders or clothing lines etc.

Eventually after examining the building itself from a relative distance he knocks on the back door or if there is no back door on the service door (or if there is neither knocks at the main door).

Are there any lights from inside?

How big is the house? I recall that she is like last heir but currently she did have money as you had said so perhaps she has servants for all I know.

Also approximately what time is it? We went to lunch at around 18.30 so that would mean if we ate and I took her home in 2-2.30 hours its still around 9-10 so not incredibly late.

He knocks once again, this time stronger and waits before knocking a third and final time. Breaking in crosses his mind but a half-deranged university connected woman may not be the most forgiving or reasonable to people to mess with if there are alternatives.

The house is dark. There are no windows on the first of its four stories.

After your third knock, a shrill voice can be heard from within, "Johnny, let the robin in. It's hungry and cold!"

Less than a minute later, a hunchbacked elf says, "The mistress will see you now. I do hope that you realize that you disturbed her sleep. Now she'll be up all night." He seems more weary than aggravated.

"I apologise but I was not given no instructions about time. Normal houseguests should arrive within daylight hours but I am afraid I dont really count as normal guests" Said Ishmael apologetically.

"On the other hand... if she heard me from her sleep perhaps you should have heard me ealier" without hint of malice just observation.

Ishmael enters and allows the elf to escort him to the client.

"Anything I should be careful off? Subjects that could upset her? I was told that she has a temper and a tamperament" he said again trying to be professional.

"Who sent you?" He asked suspiciously, refusing to answer your question for now.

Ishmael looks at him raising an eyebrow.

"A facilitator from the Sad Flint" he said as he produced the slip of paper with the information and the address. His other hand stayed at his weapon ready to draw it if this proved to be a trap.

[planswalker]

"Well then, right this way. Might I ask why you waited until so late to answer the call? We prefer a more normal hour for job interviews. Nonetheless, you might as well see her while she's up. Just, please don't mention magic, dragons, or tieflings. She's having a particularly strong delusion right now that Grand Emperor Rocholl is a red dragon with the gold orb of dragonkind, bent on conquering the world."

"I am new in this city and I have heard quite a few rumors. Before I could come here I had to be more sure about the safety of the area, who my employer would be and also how secure it is for ... employees to work with the Sad Flint services. For you it may be something very standard but I prefer to be thorough. Plus there was no requested time for the appointment and this type of business is held under cover of night"

Said Ishmael coloring his lie with alot of truths.

"I shall try to only ask relevant questions to your lady and be tactful. Thank you for your advice"

"Well your employer hired because I happen to BE one of the things lurking in the shadows. In any case, I thank you for your advice and I shall be more prompt in the future.

I am Ishmael by the way, are you her scenescal or perhaps a concerned friend or..." he let the phrase unfinished to allow him an answer

"And also, is her Ladyship ready for me? Shall I head upstairs?" He said as he moved deeper inside the house.

"I am the scenescal of the house. And you may as well go and see her now. She is upstairs in her safe room. You'll recognize the one."

"A pleasure to meet you then" he said offering his gloved hand to the man.

"And your name, if I may ask? I heard the first name screamed before you came but that does not mean its the correct one from what you have told me"

Afterwards Ishmael heads upstairs to the room indicated. He knocks twice and then opens the door entering carefully and gracefully.

The door indicated is painted with brightly colored flowers and rainbows.

"Robin, robin, come on in. Hallia has told me all about you." you hear after you knock.

The woman on the other side is an elderly woman with quite a disheveled appearance, although signs of proper hygenic care and attention are present. she is sitting cross-legged on the floor arranging different colors and lengths of twine into patterns of increasing complexity.

"Robin, sing me a sweet little songbird song." She says in your general direction as you step in.

She begins wildly flailing her arms about while you sing. It looks almost as if she is trying to dance while sitting cross-legged on the floor. Whatever tempo she's dancing to, it does not seem to be the one you set in your song.

"Oh, Robin, you sing the sweetest little songbird songs. What can I do for you, birdy?"

"I was summoned, Lady. Asked to come run an errand for you. Something to be kept secret, something that would be beneficial to you and lucrative to me."

Says Ishmael the Robin.

"Oh Robin, you are so wonderful. I have problems, bad people doing things. I need you to fix them please. Mr Squiggles will give you treats if you do."

"Bad people doing bad things? Well, stopping them shall be a pleasure just as long as the treats are sufficient to feed the younglings. Shall I ask monsignior Squiggles for details Lady or can you enlighten me yourself?"

She switches voices, her posture changes, and she says in a gravely voice. "I am Master Squiggles. It is simple. Someone killed me, and I had to hide in my lover's body to keep from dying. Now I need you to kill them."

Ishmaels eyes widen at the sudden change but he remains professional. Not because of the "poor woman" but because of how much would such a person be able to do and get away with. When he would retire this madness trick would suit him.

"There is the issue of the reward. And off course what are the names of the targets and what information do you have on them?"

"Christolph Reich. I learned his name from a divination. As for pay, I will pay you in mixed gemstones. When you have completed your task, I will allow you to retrieve two fistfulls of gems from the cask."

"Two fistfulls are good I suppose but I need some additional expenses in order to make the job a sure thing. Lets say I can select 3-4 smaller gems as prepayment for expenses. Otherwise your senescal could give me a cash deposit of about 250gold as prepayment. Do you know anything more about the target? Where he lives, habbits, his "pull" with the local law and also if you are aware of what line of business he is in. If he is a caster for example prices are higher as you can imagine since I need to get magical protection. And lastly... for my edification why did they try to kill you?"

"It shall be my pleasure then. I shall need a week and a day for the task though if Kelemvor wills it his soul will depart sooner. I gather all possible information and calculate all angles before the deed. With me you can be assured of a job appropriately researched and completed in a professional manner. Would you like him to suffer or know who brought about his end? Master Squiggles, Lady Hordukka I bid you a pleasant evening." He said as he took a bow and after receiving an answer exited the room looking for the senescal.

"Your patron is most interesting sir Senescal. I have accepted the job offered. We have agreed on a 350 gold coin fee for starting expenses."

"HE SHOULD SUFFER! SUFFER! SUFFER! SUFFER!...." The rant continues until a halfling nurse rushes in. "I don't care what you discussed with her. The visit is over." she said.

"Very well. I take it you met Squiggles?" the butler says to your request.

"I did. The situation is weird but I am not one to pass judgement here. We all do what we have to in order to survive. Perhaps when Master Squiggle's <errands> are completed your Lady shall be freed." He said seriously

"And I apologise for upsetting her but as you can imagine what they told me would be a non-relaxed topic since I am coming from the flint" Ishmael said feeling a bit guilty he had made the woman upset.
