The Ebon Dragon expected the Deathlords to only be able to snag 50 Exaltations instead of half. He actually thought there'd be 250 Solars running around.

Of course he did. But why would he tell the Neverborn that? 50 was intentionally chosen as low to entice the Neverborn into going along with the plan. The Neverborn were most likely "Oh most excruciating agony of endless torments why won't it stop?", but they probably also thought they were getting a pretty sweet deal.

The Ebon Dragon lied to the Neverborn. That's what he does.

From lurking on the White Wolf forums, my understanding is that they still have no idea when the blogs will be back up again, but someone will be uploading Ink Monkey updates to the main newsfeed (or something like it) as an interim solution. Since it's a hassle (none of them have direct access, so they're working through others) they think new Ink Monkeys will be slow in coming, but it definitely beats this drought.

No idea when the first one will actually come, but I do know they plan to give Lunars the Chapter Seven treatment at some point. Huzzah! ^__^ On a related note, Holden's been spending a lot of time working with the Lunar Errata, so, while obviously waiting on the "Exalted 2.5" fix, it's good to hear there's progress on that front.

Ah, and I think mid-May (I've heard the 11th or the 18th) is the designated CoCD: Autochtonia Volume I release. So, won't be long.

He is the silent ninja guy with the purple bandages. He is in fact a Scourge Caste Infernal wearing that Hellforged Relic wrapping armor. either the Urge makes him silent or he possesses Eloquence in Unspoken Words and just didn't want to telepathically communicate for some reason.

Just wanted to let everyone know.

The resemblance is a coincidence -- MoEP: Infernals hadn't been published when that comic was written, and wouldn't be published until over two years later. At the time, nobody even knew for sure that a MoEP for Infernals was going to be published at all.

This is probably why there has been a distinct lack of references to GSPs in any way, shape or form in the story up until now -- while Jukashi could probably work them in, especially if he had roles intended for Akuma, there's no way he could have anticipated or planned for the exact sort of Infernals we got. It might not be something you'd know if you only became an Exalted fan relatively recently, but prior to the release of MoEP: Infernals it wasn't clear that Akuma and GSPs were going to be different things.

And, needless to say, the first comic couldn't have a GSP using Infernal charms or artifacts in it, since none of those charms or artifacts -- or the canonical GSP mummy guy you're thinking of -- would be written until over two year later.

(The fact that Infernals use Yozi charms was also a huge revelation, something that nobody had anticipated, and would drastically change any planned appearances by Akuma in the setting. Prior to MoEP: Infernals' release, the only Infernal Exalted referred to or seen in the setting were a tiny number of very mechanically different Akuma who were pretty much normal DBs etc with a small number of additional custom special powers -- most of the fluff implied that Akuma were something like an Exalt crossed with a Third Circle Demon, not an Exalt with Yozi charms. Heck, the fact that the Yozis use mechanically defined charms at all instead of vague plot-device powers was itself controversial at one point.)

Our 4 man Solar circle, with myself a sa Twilight, went to Gem in search of a missing apple of immortality today as a favour for a Siddie. I went along with it because I was hoping to apply pressure on the siddie to help me persuade the Sun to stop playing the G.O.D.

We got through with some presence rolls, and I started surreptiously pamphleting people about the living quality in the first age, that Solar's were returning cleanse corruption etc. Then the Zenith started intimidating the guards who were trying to get a stolen Diamond off the Dawn.

That was when people started shrieking Anathema and started running. So he put the guard down explaining his motivation meaning a few of them were left.
So at this point the rest of the circle started holding off the advanceing guards while I quickly started speaking about our intent of cleanse corruption.

We got the beliefs fixed, commandeered the Guards, and stormed the palace. After paralysing the king, and chucking the throne into a market place for 'wealth redistribution' we oath-sanctified a general treaty and reform of the kingdom in return for healing him.

He pointed us towards Paragon, we were just about to engage the ruler in combat when the session ended...

Alas tis looking like the last one in a while. Anyway the general conseus was while the concept and fluff of the game was awesome, the mechanics were rather too complicated to keep of.
