Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
A tale about woodsman, his lost axe, a god of waters and the meaning of honesty?

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
I'd say Coyote has Barbarian levels, and Rages while trying to chase the Roadrunner. Then he runs out of Rage, gets Fatigued, and can't use the Run action anymore.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
Is it a version of this?
A man was chopping wood by a certain river when he dropped his axe and it was carried away by the current. The man then sat down on the riverbank and began to weep.
The god Hermes finally took pity on the man and appeared before him. When Hermes learned the reason for his sorrow, he brought up a golden axe and asked whether that was the man's axe. The man said that it was not his. A second time, Hermes brought up a silver axe, and again asked the man if this was the axe he had lost but the man said that it was not. The third time Hermes brought up the axe that the man had lost and when the man recognized his axe, Hermes rewarded the man's honesty by giving all of the axes to him as a gift.
The man took the axes and went to tell his friends what had happened. One of the men was jealous and wanted to do the same thing, so he took his axe and went to the river. He began chopping some wood and then intentionally let his axe fall into the whirling waters.
As he was weeping, Hermes appeared and asked him what had happened, and the man said that he had lost his axe. When Hermes brought up the golden axe and asked the man if that was the axe he had lost, the greedy man got excited and said that it was the one. Not only did the man fail to receive any gifts from the god, he didn't even retrieve his own axe.Piratebold-Bard by Elder Tsofu | Backer #121 of the Giantitp Kickstarter | My homebrew

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
It's also referenced in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Spoiler- The Golden Sword is located in the Pyramid of Power. There is a spot in the Pyramid that can only be blown up by the Super Bomb. Go to the Bomb Shop, which is where Link's house was in the Light World. After beating the sixth crystal, the Super Bomb will be up for sale. Buy it and walk the bomb over to the Pyramid and blow up the big hole. Go inside and there will be a fountain. It will ask if you would like to throw an item in. When it asks, throw in your Sword, and in return you will receive the Golden Sword from the fairy. This is the strongest sword in the game, but it cannot be obtained until very late in the game.
And since I can't seem to find anything to match it from the game, I went in a different direction.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
Conversely, the Road Runner is clearly only taking a single move action a round to move at that speed, given the velocity he outpaces Coyote when he decides he'd like to, and starts actually running.

One of the best characters in my game is a gnome Illusionist-Sorcerer/Cleric of Garl Glittergold/Arcane thingamabob I always forget. She has Perform (stringed instrument), and makes pretty good use of it too!
She also has Craft (Gizmo) and recently acquired ranks in Craft (Prank)...Aw, that's a lovely storyThe Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
Not really D&D related as such, but given
(a) I paid some of my motie taxes in advance; and
(b) You can't get commented on in this thread unless some sort of anime is involved
I present thus:
